Jo Malone English Pear Freesia Body Hand Wash 500 ml

I’m an avid perfume collector, from the tiny bottles to display on my vanity, to the multiple bottles that hide within my makeup vanity. Jo Malone is a perfumer/company that I only recently discovered. Although it’s not a new company by any means, they’ve been in business for years. I only learned about this company and their beautiful scents within the last year. I’m a total beach lover, the ocean, which is one state away is where I often go to vacation. However, if I’m being 💯, it’s mostly to clear my head. Growing up, I knew I had a strong mental connection to all large bodies of water. Since we only have lakes and rivers in AZ, our closest ocean beach is a 5-6 hr drive to CA. This scent smells like someone magically took all of the ocean’s essence and put it in a bottle. With even one spray of this special scent, I’m immediately taken back to the ocean beach mentally and I absolutely love it! It’s so divine and therapeutic for me, it truly is! I also own the shower gel and the body cream to layer it for longevity through the day! There are many more scents from this line that I also own and I have become pretty good at mixing a few. Jo Malone highly recommends mixing, something that sounded absurd to me at first, but with all of their scents, it’s become a lot of fun! Many of their masculine scents are more “unisex” than male/female specific. Lastly, their packaging is unlike most. Everything comes in a beautiful box and ribbon, it’s like opening a new gift with every order. As stated, I do like to layer; however, it’s “not” because the scent alone doesn’t last, it absolutely “does”!! Their customer service is also top notch, I just can’t say enough to express how lovely the “whole” Jo Malone experience is! They even have variety sets to allow the consumer a chance at trying many before deciding which one is best for their personal taste. It’s obviously available at the Jo Malone brand website, Sephora(limited to a smaller range), and the same applies to Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and other high end Dept stores. If you’re tired of seeing and smelling the same old stuff, I HIGHLY recommend Jo Malone; especially, Wood Sage Sea Salt!

Always Divine - A Classic Fragrance

Always divine! The Jo Malone range is so lovely. The English Pear & Freesia is a classic, subtle scent and the hand wash is thick and lathers up well which means you don’t have to use much and it lasts. This product is an indulgence that I make a few times a year. This particular purchase was a gift and my sister loved it. The packaging was classic and very smart, so virtually no gift-wrapping required! I highly recommend this product.

Good for layering

Nice fragrance used for layering with the cologne. 100ml is a travel size really or good for testing the product. The wash was okay but didn't feel especially luxurious and didn't make my skin feel very soft or beautiful but it smelled quite nice. Unfortunately, I find that all JM products layered with wash, body cream, and cologne or with other blended colognes don't really hold the scent for long which is disappointing given the price. I think it's just another overhyped brand. I would be reluctant to buy more products from JM.

Gorgeous product

This is a lovely hand and body was. I use it in the shower too. I’ve very mature and very sensitive skin but can even wash my face using this. Been using it for 5 years now annd anlthough more expensive than other brands it’s really worth the money in my opinion.Its ingredients are first class and the fragrance is classic. Delivery and service from Lookfantastic is brilliant.

It's so lovely!

My mothers use Jo malone while I was growing up, so I already knew I loved this scent.It's quite unique to me, so sweet and warm but still floral and feminine.It layers very well with most other scents to give them that touch of warmth, but easily complements other floral scents like English pear and peony suede.The shower gel is quite fragrant at first but doesn't ease off of the skin after a couple of hours. It doesn't disappear completely but what's left is very subtle. Just ok…not as beautiful as the others

I bought this huge bottle because it was on sale. I bought three of them since I’ve had the huge bottles of English Pear and Freesia before. Needless to say, I’m not a fan of this scent. It’s more of a unisex scent and not as beautiful and feminine as the English Pear and Freesia. I also bought the huge bottle of Wild Bluebell when it was on sale. That one is the best fragrance for me …second is English Pear and Freesia. I wish they would bring back the huge bottle of Wild Bluebell instead of this one.

Massive Regret Buying

Not worth the price. Cheap plastic bottle. Pump is defective because it spits out more soap AFTER a pump causing a mess on your counter. The soap is okay. Scent isn’t the same as the perfume version which I guess I can understand. This soap makes me miss the soap at bath and body works. Massive regrets buying this. Unless you’re rich or don’t care about spending money get it. To all the normal people, bath and body works is better. I’m ashamed I spent $60 on this.

OMG! The instant I tried it, I love JM Mimosa & Cardamom!

Lucky me, I received the Jo Malone Body & Hand Wash Gel as a gift. Never having tried the Mimosa & Cardamom, I just couldnt believe how wonderful it smells and I just kept opening it and smelling it! Its a wonderful body gel wash or for hands and Ive actually ordered more to put into my decorative bathroom hand soap pump containers in each bathroom. Its so luxurious! It has been many years since a scent has impressed me this much. Just love it!

WORTH IT

This was given to me along with the lotion as a hostess gift and even though I love Jo Malone, I’d have never spent so much on soap and lotion. However, let me tell you that not only have I purchased a second set for my own guest bath, I just drove to Century City Mall to work specifically with Stephanie to purchase two more sets for my daughter to bring with her for the people she will be staying with over the holidays.Yes, soap and lotion. And yes, anyone who knows Los Angeles traffic, knows that going to Century City during the holiday season is nuts. Here is why I did it... Now that I’m writing this, I realize I could’ve called to place the order and have her wrap it, but it was also a great excuse to pop in for some Bloomies’ frozen yogurt! This is seriously the perfect set for your home and for anyone on your gift list. It’s the second time I received soap as a gift, not realizing what a PERFECT INDULGENCE it was. I’m sure the other scents are wonderful too but this blackberry and bay is pure heaven. Everyone loves it!

Weird smell

This is my personal viewpoint that this particular fragrance is strange and not exactly pleasant. When I asked family members to describe the smell they liked it and said it was fresh and subtle. To me it smelled a lot like you know how when you cook, get your hands messy in garlic, coriander and just cooking stuff. And you try to wash your hands but some of the smells don't wash off? It's that association of smell to me. So I didn't like the smell to linger around and had to use a different soap to get this smell off. This is the first time that I have disliked a lime smell. The basil smell is way more overpowering for me. I will stick to the woody and floral scents of Jo Malone. This was disappointing to say the least.
