The Good: I really love the scent of this candle, it's a wonderful mix between a ripened sweet delicious pear and a light white floral scent. The description of the notes fits the actual smell quite wonderfully. I believe this is just one of those scents that just "works" for multiple times of year and in various rooms. It's very versatile in the sense that it isn't too floral for the winter time, it is not too "Christmasy" or geared towards the fall (like some candles are). This is truly a beautiful year-round scent. Once you walk away a bit, you really cannot smell this candle-which is a shame. For that reason, I believe it works best in a smaller space such as a bathroom despite it's ride ranging scent-possibility or when set up within an intimate/close setting such as on top of a dinner table. The Ugly/Honest: For the price point ($70 for 7oz) this is an extremely expensive candle and I really would like if it had the throw and lasting power of an expensive candle. Five Stars for the scent/versatility but I took a star off for price point and another star for lack of throw.

This is the most beautiful Rose fragrance on the market, in my opinion. I’ve tried just about everything rose-related and Jo Malone has truly captured the perfect bouquet. A little sweet, spicy, definitely floral. This is not “cute” - instead, it’s complex, has depth and personality - it also evolves as it burns. Just like I love layering this fragrance with other faves in Jo Malone, I like to layer candles - try burning the rose candle for a while, then burn BlackBerry & Bay or Grapefruit - or (my all time fave) Orange Bitters! It’s amazing together - one of the loveliest things you can do to create a beautiful mood in the home is to light a Jo Malone candle (or set out a diffuser) - FABULOUS.

Granted I had a few beers when bought the 1st as part of my wifes Christmas, but we both loved it ..So we bought another for the upstairs lounge too . 2 years later I bought another ( to replace the 1st ) , but its scent just didnt fill the room the same. I complained and Jo Malone sent a replacement - NO questions asked they just took the batch number and sent a replacement - NO questions asked ( Great Customer Service !!!) The replacement candle has the scent but its leaving a black residue on the top of the candle, I trim the wicks after every burning but the residue just builds up and it looks pretty unsightly which is annoying as the candle has a great presence even when unlite

This is been my favorite perfume, and the only one I've been wearing for the last 15 years. It's not that there aren't any other scents that I like, but when you find something so perfect for you, why use anything else? The scent is amazing - floral, very lightly fruity, sweet but not too sweet, light, and intensely feminine. I'm often complimented on the scent when I'm out, and I always offer a spritz since carry a small bottle of it with me. People love it! Thank you for this absolute gem of a perfume, Jo Malone!
I was looking forward to burning this candle after buying it for myself as a treat. After the first burn (just under 4 hours) the wax hasn't reached the sides of the containers and is tunnelling already. The candle seems under wicked in my opinion. The cold throw is ok, but I am hardly getting any hot throw from the candle at all, most likely due to the fact that the meltpool isn't big enough to throw a scent.I am disappointed that a candle priced at ÂŁ55 hasn't performed any better than one I would purchase at a lower end of the market store. This is my first time purchasing a Jo Malone candle, but unfortunately it will be my last, which is a shame.
I recently purchased this Joe Malone Candle (Peony & Blush Suede) and I must say its is exquisite! The fragrance is elevated and sophisticated with a beautiful peony scent that fills the room with a delightful aroma. The candle burns evenly and the scent lingers long after the flame has been extinguished. I highly recommend this candle to anyone who appreciates a high-quality, beautifully scented candle. It's a true delight for the senses and has quickly become a favorite in my home. In my opinion, its totally worth the price as you don't need to burn as long for the scent to fill your home. Its a cut above the rest, ensuring that you home will not smell like everyone else's!

I have found, however, that burning this for more than 3 hours can make the candle smell a little smoky and I have also found that it can make me sneeze and I feel a little bunged up as if I am reacting to something in the fragrance. My review is for the English Pear and Freesia 30g mini travel size candle. The scent of this candle is so light, it almost seems scentless. You have to use it in a very contained space such as a tiny bathroom in order for any noticeable fragrance to be apparent. For an expensive candle based on perfumes, I’m not sure why it’s so light. I also personally don’t see why companies are still creating unclean candles. So many small and large businesses are able to make clean candles with a soy or beeswax base at a fraction of the price, so I am not sure why large brands have not done this yet. Pros about this candle are the sleek look and the fact that is burns evenly, but without noticeable scent I would not purchase.
