Very small amount and the easy peel does not peel easy. Haven't found a can yet where the tab doesn't break off and you're left having to use a knife to open the can. Used to be a staple. Will not be buying again.

I really like the John West mackerel fillets in tomato sauce. It is fresh and I love the taste of the tomato sauce. I very often have this as a midnight snack.

Though these Mackerel are very tasty, in the tomato sauce. The can there in, To open is just a nightmare! The pull ring, comes off far to easierly and then you have to try and open the can with a can opener and you could easily cut yourself on the can, also the tomato sauce, ends up going everywhere!I won't be buying these again in a hurry !

A very convenient way to buy mackerel, filleted, boned, lubricated, easy to open tin... but as others have pointed out: 6% added sugar WITH FISH. Why do they do that?? I eat mackerel because it's supposed to be healthy.
Artificiall taste, all i could taste was very sweet sauc. I checked the label and saw 6 grams of added sugar, thats a teaspoonfull. I have type 2 diabetes and try to avoid refined sugar. I didnt realise this product would have so much added sugar until i tasted it .Other brands dont have any where near this amount Great job John West healthy sustainable mackeral with a butt load of over sweet sauce.
Tasty fish in a pleasant tomato sauce, which is good mashed up with a squeeze of mayonnaise and grilled on toast for a quick lunch. An easy way to add some oily fish to the diet.
Very disappointed with John West for adding unnecessary amounts of sugar and salt to this product, ruining the flavour and health benefits. Waitrose essential equivalent product has much lower sugar/carbs, lower salt, higher protein and higher Omega 3 and it's much better value. I won't be buying this product again.
John West mackerel was the only mackerel that my daughter would eat. This was a go to meal for a fussy child. Change of recipe means it is now relegated to all the other yucky tinned mackerel. Please bring back the old recipe.
Sent as a sub for M&S mackerel in pure Tomato sauce . John West has added sunflower and sugar? Yuk! The fish already is higher in fats and oily, I don't want a cheap bulking up agent in the sauce adding to the oils.
Had to switch to this product as my normal brand was out of stock. The fish is so dry and like a brick and you cant break it up easily, I really wouldnt buy it if there was a better option for the price.
