I buy these regularly, as well as the larger tins. They are disproportionately expensive, but the right size for one person. To open a larger tin for one person would be a waste.

A lot easier to open and get it out of the tin without messing around draining it. Easier for the teenagers to get their own healthy snack without making a mess. Good quality Tuna.

No idea why the other review is so bad. I've bought this for ages and it's always good quality - perfect size for a tuna mayo sandwich with no waste.Tastes like any other tuna in a can to be fair, it's just not greasy and there's only a tiny bit of water to drain away.It is what it is, and it's fine for what it is.
We tried these so it would be easier for my daughter to make her own sandwiches as they had a ring pull to open and needed no draining. They are perfect and contain top quality tuna steak. The lack off brine,water or oil makes the taste SO much better and they are a perfect for a good size sandwich - so no lingering bits of leftovers in the fridge. Only one complaint; they are expensive but they are often on offer so I buy them then.
I love these little tins of tuna. They taste very good and I love that they dont need to be drained. I add a single tin to various meals, as a sandwich filler, or eat it straight out of the tin as a protein snack. My last tin did contain 3 small bones however which was a tad unpleasant, but otherwise no complaints. Will order again.
We enjoy this tuna as it has no oil or added salt, pure and simple. Perfect for salads or the modern take on summer dishes; the Pokebowl. In an emergency when we've run out of dogfood (and believe me he's a fussy eater) he enjoys this.
Don't buy John west tuna !! They are owned by Thai Union foods. That is not investing enough in pole and line. This company's uses fish aggregation devices and is 80% nets which slaughterer loads of other animals like turtles , sharks and Ray's. Loads of Eco spin on their website and elastic marketing grew wash but nothing followed through. Check greenpeace website - John west
I was taken aback by the overwhelming saltiness of this. Why on earth add salt — I was expecting something palatable in spring water. The tuna itself was good. The ring pull can didn’t pull — had to resort to a tin opener. Won’t buy again.
These mini cans of John West tuna steak are in such a handy size. It is very clean and no small bones in any of the tins Ive purchased myself. We bought ours on such a great offer with Ocado. Thank you Ocado. We went camping for the weekend and took a tin along with us, so it was obviously at room temperature and was really fresh tasting, although they are kept in my cupboard at home in a dark cool and dry place. Once opened transferred the little bit left, if any into an airtight container into the fridge. It has the bonus of the pull ring to open the metal tin top, although having said that we had one tin that the pull ring broke off. This would not put us off purchasing these again.
