Very smooth, and to novice Scotch drinkers will be over powering with peat that a seasoned Scotch drinker can appreciate. The flavor has many complexities to it of citrus, toffee, nutmeg, and almost like a hint of sea salt. A bottle of this can run you close to $200 in some places, so this is not one to mixed in a cocktail. It'«s meant to be sipped by the fire and swirled around a bit to reason the bouquet of flavor. I would highly recommend.

Where to begin,, magical is a good word. So this is my second purchase of the Ghost and Rare trilogy, the first purchase being the Brora. They are both wonderful. They both bring joy to my heart. They both are Blue on steroids but gentler. They are sooooo smooth and silky and i crave tasting them. The biggest difference between the Brora and Port Ellen is that the Port Ellen is quite a bit smokier. Not peaty just delicious smoke that follows the silky sweet notes . The problem I now face is that I can’t imagine not always having one available to savor. Buy one, buy two, buy all three,,, you only die once but you live everyday ! If you are lucky enough to enjoy scotch and can afford it,, DO IT!!!!

Bought a bottle for my house warming party since it's the 1st home I've actually owned so had to celebrate with something special. It was amazing! The smoothest and best sipping drink I've ever had! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent item however when I order items through Malts they always seem to be delayed long periods of time. It happened with Talisker 25 and now this JW bottle. I love Diageo bottles but you definitely need to improve with your courier and dispatching items.
I'm sure everyone who has drank this stuff has a pretty crazy story the next morning.... this stuff is insane! After watching the devastating OU Georgia game ( boomer sooner forever ) I had some of this stuff to cope with the loss and I can tell you I don't remember much after that besides the crazy stories I heard from other people the next morning!! Keep in mind I'm 5'3 115 lbs so it doesn't take much to get me there! Great stuff though all the guys were talking about how "smooth" it was and what not.. to me i just tasted a little less gross than most other whiskeys!
I ordered 2 bottles of the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare, Port Ellen. They came in excellent condition and the packaging was superb! The price was fair and I would definitely recommend Uptown Spirits. I hope to see more unique offerings in the future.

Bought as a present for my Father, I have not tried this yet, but certainly looking forward to it. Delivered in excellent condition and well packaged.
A friend got this bottle as a gift. And we drank it all in one night. It was a religious experience. Smooth on the swish, with a sweet hint of actual butter scotch, followed by a smooth finish. I’m having scotch PTSD thinking about it, haunting! To quote Ferris Bueller, “It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up!”
This is a great blend. They really made something that goes well with special occasions. I like the regular Blue label but this is a step above but and mentioned in the title you get what you pay for it’s not cheap and at this price point I would say it’s for special occasions.
