Jose Cuervo Platino Reserva De La Familia 700ml

This is the tequila I started with. Actually loved it so much? I named our first dog, a golden retriever, Jose Cuervo Gold!!! Seriously!!! This particular tequila is one of the more affordable in the Jose Cuervo collection. Any tequila aficionado knows there is nothing worse tasting than a bad tequila. This one is a fantastic choice. Fortunately the first I tried! Nice aroma of honey, fruit peels and spice that all Cuervos are known for. But be warned..the taste has a kick to it. Very peppery, indeed. Loved this one enough to name my first dog after it!

This tequila is tough. It’s strong and burns. Before you know it you’re drunk. Dangerous cocktail. Jose cuervo has never been a friend to me. I’m sure I’ll drink it again.

Is there any other kind of tequila? Seriously. Lol. What else makes you dance on the bar haha. 😄 Seriously. This is the only kind I'd ever buy. Not really tried any other of tequila. I've tried it several different ways. Straight, just on the rocks. Of course as many do, with a twist of salt and lime. Have also tried in very many mixed drinks. I do know one I ABSOLUTELY 💯 do NOT like to mix it with, for any kind of cocktails, and that is triple Sec. Oh good GRIEF, my word, NOPE, 😶😮😏🙃😩😳😱 IT LEAVES you feeling all sorts of funny, VERY FUNNY WAYS. LOL. ONE OF THE BIGGEST, IS too be looking for the HUGEST HEADACHE CUTE IN ABOUT 3-8 MINUTES FLAT OUT, BECAUSE the 2 of them together, (or to me, at least,) start making me wish I'd NEVER ever, and I MEAN EVER PICKED ... MoreIs there any other kind of tequila? This Jose Cuervo Tequila Gold is a beauty. You can enjoy single shots, cocktails or a mixed drink with your favorite soda. I LOVE to pair this with a Coke on the rocks, Dr. Pepper or Pepsi for the sweetness, my choice of coarse. I wouldn't revise this original. I will always buy and keep in Stock. Great for any special occasions. This helps me relax and have pleasant conversations. A MUST have in your back stock closet for drinks. I will always buy IT, its worth your money.

me be honest, i love Jose Cuervo Especial, for what it is. However, i dont consider this a tequila, as there is almost no agave presence, and tastes like some sour, bitter and buttery plastic liquid. Oddly enough, im one of the few people who never had one of those nightmare stories of people not remembering the day they decide to have some fun with this and waking up next morning feeling like you wish that you were never born. Jose Cuervo makes some excellent tequilas (1800, JC Tradicional, Gran Centenario, Reserva de la Familia etc.) but this is not one of them (or even close in quality for that matter).

ve been buying Jose Cuervo Tequila and Gold since the 50's. Use to get the 1800 in triangular quarts for about $7.50 in a wooden box. At any rate Gold is an excellent Tequila for mixing. I probably have 20 Tequilas +/- in my liquor cabinet (and have tasted 100's of others) from Don Julio 1942, 1800 to Legado in most variants. Not a one makes as good a Margarita as Cuervo Gold, whether 100% agave or not. I keep a quart or two of fresh mixed Margarita's in my fridge weekly - using only fresh limes, a quality orange liquor - and mostly made with Gold. In my opinion, anyone mixing expensive Tequilas is either a pseudo snob or a fool - same for anyone bashing Gold because it's a mixto.

When it comes to rating this tequila I will first say that I am not a professional alcohol taster. I am just the average person with average knowledge about tequila.This product has quite the burn when drinking it straight and doesn't have many notes of other flavors. After the initial tasting and burn it has a slight earthy aftertaste when being sipped.I recommend using this product as a mixing agent in drinks such as margaritas. I do not feel like this product is smooth because of its harsh bite. I feel like it is reasonably priced but the taste is reflective of that. I have come to prefer light tequilas in my personal palette.

Even as a debt laden college student, there are better options. The quantity is the main selling point here, but it is important to remember this is hardly tequila. The fact that it is not 100% agave cannot be overlooked and it shows in the final product.Aroma: Sweet but alcohol laden non the lessBody: As others have said, fairly stickyFinish: This is a long, hot and sour finish. This might be great if it was chicken.The main problem here is that there is little to no agave taste, which is what distinguishes tequila, mezcal and sotol from fire waters derived from sugar. For a cheap tequila go with corralejo reposado, El Jiminador or Horonitos.

This is one of my favorite blanco tequilas. This is on the premium end of the Cuervo family’s white tequilas, Reserva de La Familia is made from old agave plants in small batches and is presented in an individually numbered bottle, hand dipped in wax..Nose: Floral notes with fresh agave, caramel corn, honeydew melon, white strawberry, and cedar..Palate: The agave comes through with some lime, banana bread and bread pudding with raisins..Finish: A long dry smooth finish.

Smooth as silk Tequila

This is perhaps one of the smoothest and delectable tequilas I’ve ever tasted at a great price point. I normally don’t drink Jose Cuervo but home run with this Platino. Found it in Mexico City but now I’m gonna enjoy at home.
