These replacement filters simply slip into the filter holder on the lid of my kitchen waste bin. Whilst my kitchen waste is in the bin for a day or so there have been no unpleasant odours when lifting the lid. The activated carbon absorbs any odour very effectively. On the positive side they apparently have a life of 3 months and so with two in the packet its 6 months worth of filtering. On the negative side, value wise, some people may feel you do not visibly get a lot for your money i.e. two small pieces of black foam.

The Odour Filters are of amazing quality. They do not smell at all and easily fits in the Caddy Bin. They are long lasting and you can purchase them in a package of 2. My Caddy Bin does not have a smell coming out which is great!!

I’ve been using these filters for over a year and they’re amazing at stopping smells from escaping my Joseph Joseph food waste caddy. I change the filter whenever it still smells after I’ve aired it; every 6-8 weeks or so. The caddy and filters are much more pleasant than using the standard small green food waste bins which smell too much to keep indoors.

For the second time I did not purchase odour filters. I did buy a caddy to replace another Joseph Joseph which I accidentally broke and I had replacement filters. Please stop emailing me about these filters
I purchased filters for my JJ small compost container that is one of the best gifts I ever received. It is compact and well designed with one caveat. The filters were easy to insert once I finally figured out how to do it, but initially it was rather a challenge. Otherwise, I have only praise for the product.
Found this product very good. Did notice the bin was starting to smell when the odour filter was coming to the end of it life.Was glad when I received the new filters so I could replace the old one.
These filters are absolutely fantastic - I use them in both my general waste bin and food waste bin. I haven’t noticed bin smells in my kitchen at all since getting them. The only problem I’ve ever encountered is forgetting I haven’t already emptied the bins because usually they would smell if left too long! Definitely would recommend these to keep the smell of food waste out of your kitchen!
I wasn’t sure how effective these would be, but after trialling the first one that came included with the bin, I ordered spares as I didn’t want to be left without! Really effective at neutralising odours and pretty reasonably priced. Myer click and collect experience was seamless.
I think these filters are highly efficient. I first came across it in the composting bin and couldn't believe how well they worked at keeping odours at bay. I've subsequently bought another bin and the filter works really well there too. Will definitely keep using in the future.
