Let's face it. For years we've all managed to get olives out of the jar whenever we need to whether by using fingers, forks, spoons, etc. If this spoon never existed then life would still go on. But this little scoop spoon makes olive retrieval just a little more pleasant and for $5, why not? My only complaint is that if you order it online and it needs to be shipped, a whole lot of packaging and transport is involved at a disproportionate cost of the item. So order a few and give them as the ultimate quirky stocking stuffer for the olive lovers in your life.

I have several Joseph Joseph items in my kitchen and really like them. This scoop and pick set does not disappoint. The scoop is perfect for fishing olives, pearl onions, and such things from the jar. I use the pick for my cornichons. The smaller pick snaps into the handle of the scoop so that it doesn’t get lost—a great design feature.

Waited a bit to finally get this. Every time I missed it. It sold out so fast. But my husband loves it. No more trying to get the olives out and dump half the liquid on you. And whoever thought to have the fork store in the spoon handle guises. Try buying this in the kitchen store. You can buy five here for their price. GREAT product!!!

I stumbled across this Joseph Joseph Jar Spoon and Fork Set and knew this design would be just what I needed.Since BBandB didn't stock them I went to my local store and ordered 4 of them.One for me and three for gifts.Upon receipt I immediately tried it out in a very large olive jar that had about a third left in the jar. Hard to get them out with a regular spoon or fork. Used this product and bingo, worked like a charm. I have always been extremely happy with any products I have purchased at Joseph Joseph. The products are very well made and very unusual. They have products that are so useful and yet extremely unique. I've always been very happy with Joseph Joseph products. It's kind of a luxury, fortunately the price was right. It's very convenient, and having the little fork attached is handy as can be. I'm sure that ultimately that will disappear but for the moment it's clever and convenient.
This item makes getting a olive so much easier. It doesn’t fall off your fork or spoon, make a mess all over your counter. It’s quick and efficient.
This little gadget could be a bit longer; however, it will get the job done. Keep your eye peeled for the tiny fork on the back side, which you push out from the front side. What I most like about it is that I firmly believe that sticking one's fingers in an olive jar to fish out an olive or "assist" it into a teaspoon leads to that awful whitish gunk that seems to occur after you've opened a big jar of olives and used from it several times. I've found that being careful about cross-contamination definitely helps with jarred olives.
I already owned this piece and I LOVE it! I intend to gift this scoop to the next "bride to be." It is a great design, super functional and it is perfect for use at the bar. I especially appreciate the pick, that is always there, and snaps into the handle! Perfect for olives, cherries, pearl onions, etc. when the jar is half full. :)
If you are an olive eating family like this one, you must have this tool. Who knew it was this important--Joseph Joseph, of course. It fits into the smallest olive jars and the fork on the back side stabs the olive easily. I even gave one for a gift after that guy had been at our house for cocktails. And its machine washable. Just don't lose that fork!
