Very well designed as is to be expected from Joseph Joseph.The bin caddy is so much better than the previous compost container we were using to hold our vegetable scrapsIt is an ideal size and bring plastic will not rust as did our previous container did.The design considerations that the Joseph Joseph caddy has tick the necessary boxes with an double skin exterior for insulation, a filtered lid that allows the scraps to ‘breathe’ rather than sweat, it’s size and the neutral dark grey makes it a smart addition to our kitchen bench top requirements.

Had this some time and always use bags and charcoal filters. Empty very regularly.Now have a constant infestation of flies and despite all kinds of countermeasures nothing is getting rid of them.The design of the lid allows the flies to get in.It will have to go in the bin and be replaced by a product which doesn't allow the flies.

The caddy does the job it is designed for and looks smart.The instructions for installing the liner are too brief. You have to take the lid assembly off before fitting the liner bag, but the assembly clicks in very strongly and I had to pull it so hard that I thought I might break something - a reassurance about this in the instructions would have been welcome.I bought the purpose made compostable liners for the caddy. The idea is great for the environment but they are very thin so I am not sure how well they will be held in place. So far so good but time will tell. There is a little hole inside the caddy which is intended to be used for poking part of the liner into, to help secure the liner, but I found this totally useless.

Our food caddy before this was fine but if it wasn’t emptied often, it would stink. This one is great looking so is positioned in our kitchen rather than our utility room which makes it easier to use. It’s easy to replace the bags and the odor filters seem at effective at keeping smells at bay, making the system excellent! The bin has sufficient capacity for 4L of food waste…
Very good quality. I like that the lid stays up for when adding food, not like my previous one with a lift off lid. Made of plastic so no rust. Worth the money should last many years. Perfect size for 2 people 1 bag lasts a week before it's full.
I absolutely love this Food Waste Caddy. The size is perfect and not too small and neither too big. We are a small family so this size is perfect for our food waste. It’s easy to use and fit in the bin liners. It’s also very easy to clean and wash. I love it.
Have had one of these for years. I keep mycompost in the freezer to keep the smells and pests away. Works like a charm; use mine with bio bags that I pull out and put right into the compost pickup. Holds two weeks worth of scraps easily. I have a small silicone countertop bin that I use during food prep and then empty it into the JJ bin for clean transfer. Yes it’s pricy but it’s the best option on the market right now.
It is neat and unobtrusive in design. The colour is good for modern kitchens. It works well as a kitchen tidy before transferring contents outside. There is no odour due to the filter. I recommend it.A really useful product.
I bought this caddy for my newly renovated kitchen as the local council supplied caddy is dowdy to say the least. It's tall rectangle shape made it vulnerable to falling over when half empty when the lid was opened. Not ideal. The Joseph Joseph caddy is a perfect replacement, looks great, better sturdy design and shape, love how the liner is inserted and concealed. The bonus was the 100% biodegradable liners our local council supply free, fit perfectly. The filter is a nice addition, however, as I usually empty mine daily not sure how efficient it is.Highly recommend this product
When I first started using a bin, I bought one that I put under the sink, but the lid comes off, and it's hard to use. I have this one sitting on the windowsill above my sink, and so far it has issued no smells, the ants are not in it, and it is really easy to use because of the hinged lid. I think the filters are a little expensive, but I don't yet know how often I need to change them. So far I am really happy with this bin.
