Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc. Eau De Parfum 100ml

I received this product for free from Influenster and Juliette Has A Gun in exchange for my honest review. I am happily surprised by this fragrance. I love this perfume. I had read reviews that this perfume does not last long and I did not have that experience at all. The scent lasted over 12 hours! I spray and walk into it so the scent hits my neck/chest and crease where my elbow hits. Some got on my clothes and that scent lasted over 12 hours as well. This is a fresh scent with an initial hint of pear. I was expecting it to be overly fruity but not at all. Which I am happy about. It has a fresh, slightly fruit scent with a touch of musk. It took me forever to decide how I felt about this scent. The original NAP is a favorite of mine and I love Juliette Has A Gun as a brand. It’s fresh and it’s modern and it’s doesn’t try too hard. I adore Pear fragrances so when I got the notification that I was getting this I thought it was a no-brainer, and I would love it on first scent. I didn’t,lol. I think this could absolutely be worn by a man. I love layering this with a vanilla body wash/lotion to sweeten it up just a bit,but it’s definitely a beautiful scent and worth the price. The bottle is beautiful and heavy and the spritzer is perfect. I recommend this perfume if you’re looking for an interesting take on the pear/fruit note.

I have to caveat that Juliette has a Gun is not a brand I’ve every gelled with. And since they released Not a Perfume, it seems they have strayed so far from their original DNA that I’m confused what their POV is anymore. I do associate them with musk-heavy scents - and for me their love of ambroxan is just as scary because it also has the tendency to trigger long, severe migraines. Thankfully, I don’t get ambroxan out of Pear Inc. This is such a simple perfume that there aren’t really any surprises. Except that it is a Parfum, but I got 3 hours with any projection, 2 as a skin scent, and 1 where it was just clinging on. The first note that comes through is a burst of pear. Very little sillage (which I don’t mind). Although I was pleasantly surprised with the pear/musk combo, it’s plasticky finish and lack of longevity make this not worth a purchase for me.

On me, it lasts about 4-ish hours, and this wears very close to the skin, which is what I gravitate towards these days - especially since I now live in a hot and humid climate. I get more wear if I spray my clothes a bit, too. This is an office-friendly scent and great for daytime and weekend wear. it's isn't what I'd call a "sexy" scent by any stretch. As another reviewer stated- the initial spray is a dead ringer for Annick Goutal's Petite Cherie, which I had and loved back in the day and stopped repurchasing because it was was a fragile scent - it went over too quickly. It was also very fleeting on my skin, disappearing after a couple of hours with little to no dry down. As with all scents, your mileage may vary, but if you like Not a Perfume, give this one a try.

Beautiful airy fragrance disappears immediately

I got a sample of this fragrance and was highly impressed by how beautifully airy and refreshing this felt, you certainly get the experience that the first intense wave of scent truly washes over you. I personally have never had that feeling from any perfume I have smelt before, even a very aquatic perfume I still have as a signature scent for almost 2 decades (discontinued scent by Yves Rocher). The pear definitely gives this a unique twist to classic high end airier aquatic musks, and I love spraying it, but the sad part in all of this is after that moment after spraying it, the smell fades away faster than any perfume I have use. I was also unhappy with the Not A Perfume Superdose for the exact opposite reason, cheap tacky alcohol smell that just doesn't go away - so it really might be this brand is just overhyped. Smell their stuff with an objective mind (and nose) to figure out how it works on you. So why 2 stars? The 2 stars are purely for the unique beauty of the scent and the feeling at first spray, leaves me wanting more.

So I was looking for a clean scent, but, also with a light fruit undertone. This was exactly that. I work in healthcare and needed something very light and subtle. This is exactly what i was looking for. At first spray it smells perfumy, but then drys down to your skin and you get that subtle pear scent. Now, i am quite shocked reading reviews that say this has no staying power!? I worked a full 10hr shift today and the scent is still lingering on both my skin and clothes. In fact, I would actually even say, I would be careful and not spray too much as the scent definitely lingers and then will evidently be too strong. I would suggest 1-2 sprays and you should be good. As it dries down, I do smell more of a green pear scent. However, it has this slightly laundry/light floral/fresh aquatic scent behind it also. I can’t really describe it, but it is super unique. I do like it still and actually will purchase the travel size when it’s available again, but my only complaint is, it could have used slightly more pear added. It would be perfect if they had done that. If you’re expecting full out pear, this ain’t it. But if you want light pear and are open minded to the other notes surrounding it, id recommend giving it a shot!

I got a steal of a deal when I bought one of the Sephora perfume samplers that come out for the holidays last year which include around 10 sample sized perfumes and a certificate for a full size of your favorite for ''free' for under $50 on sale. I ended up using my certificate which was for the 3.3 oz bottle of this scent which is kind of crazy considering the hefty price tag and I didn't even know. I highly recommend you grab a sampler set when they do come around again because they're super fun and a really good value - I buy at least one every year and have always found at least one scent I adore so they're well worth it. Anyhow, I freakin' LOVE this! It's so very unique. The quality is excellent and even the lid has amazing weight to it really indicative of the quality you would expect for this price. The only downside? It doesn't last long at all. I usually only get an hour or so of decent throw from this which is disappointing; again considering the price. However, the bottom line is that while this is in the top 10 of my most pricey scents in my collection even without getting it for under $50 I would have paid the $135 because it is just so dang unique. I highly recommend at least grabbing one of the sampler tubes if you can get one for under $5 because it really is worth the try if smelling like a pear interests you! Heh.
