I can’t believe how many bad reviews this item is getting. Ever since I discovered the original back in like 2017 time frame, not a perfume is “my signature scent”. I no longer can smell it on myself, but everyone else claims they can smell it when I enter a room. When this came out, I was excited that maybe I can smell it! I did, but like anything, I got use to the smell as well BUT people comment WAY more on my scent when I wear this product over the original.I am constantly and I means CONSTANTLY getting compliments by strangers when I am out. How it smells on me, is not how it smells on my friend. So, perhaps it doesn’t work for everyone’s body chemistry which is why there are reports of it smelling so terrible. How it smells on me, is amazing!I would start with the original first to see if the scent is up your ally before you invest in this one that is full size and more concentrated. I am so excited of all the other products that are out there now with this scent, so they have a life long fan with me! I hope super dose stays around for years to come!

I enjoyed the original Not a Perfume, but was looking for something with a little more "oomph", so I thought I'd definitely love this Superdose version. Boy, was I wrong! Lol This perfume is vastly different than the original, as far as how it interacts with my body chemistry. The original wears as a very musky, ambery scent that smelled very nice, albeit light, on me. This perfume, on the other hand, smelled like a very sharp, almost metallic peppery note and nothing else. And I'm not talking about a nice pink pepper, or any other mellow warm peppery smell, I mean that this smelled almost like mace on me. So definitely not something to blind buy! A must have summer perfume for me!

I pretty much did a blind purchase with this perfume….The tester at the store was completely gone but could subtly smell the perfume. One of the Sephora employees strongly recommended this perfume and described it as one of the best perfumes she had ever smelled, so I decided to go for it. When I got home, I read mixed reviews and also did some digging on YouTube. It seems to me that the outcome of the smell truly depends on your skin’s chemistry. I was really hesitant if whether to keep it due to the risk of the perfume not sitting well on my skin. I decided to open it cause what the heck? I sprayed it once on my forearm and omg!!!! It smells so nice and it brought out a very clean, fresh and woody smell. Alcohol smell that drags out forever

Normally a perfume lasting for days is what I am looking for - I love lasting scents that are strong and can smell unisex. Unfortunately this smells immediately of the cheap perfume alcohol base, just slightly less pungent and no oily smell with it. It drags on for almost 2 days, and is as one dimensionally the watered down alcohol smell as the moment it is sprayed.I haven't experienced this with any other perfume from Sephora or perfume suppliers, so it most certainly is not a bad batch or it not mixing well will my personal scent (because it smells exactly as it does in the bottle).I have the reverse issue with the Pear INC. perfume where the first spray is divine but fades faster than anything else. This magical & alluring perfume is one of my signature favorites!It enhances with the warmth of your chemistry that’s both intriguing and feminine. Apply into areas of the body such as nape of the neck, crease of your elbows, back of knees, chest. Be careful not to spray on certain clothes because the perfume oils can and will ruin certain fabrics and leave an oil spot you cannot get out. I wish this perfume had a hair perfume that was safe for your hair. Spraying regular perfume in your hair is very drying..Finals thoughts this perfume is absolutely incredible.. I love a majority of the Juliette has a gun perfumes, but this one I think is my favorite. Moscow Mule is another magical scent..hope this helps ♥️

Please sample before buying!

This is absolutely HORRID! I got the sampler set and since I love musky skin scents I really thought I'd love this. I don't know how anyone thinks this smells fresh and clean! It smells like a mixture of gasoline and hospital iodine with blood! It's so so strong I had to get a shower because it was making me sick. If anyone ever smelled Zara Red Temptation and some BR540 dupes, this is definitely one of the notes in those. I can't use those because they smell just like this. Please sample this first. Just smelling the bottle makes me gag so it's definitely not just a chemistry issue.

STRONGLY dislike

I sampled this scent today after speaking with someone who loves it. Unfortunately I didn’t have the same experience. It actually smells very loud and offensive on me, and I didn’t spray much. The longer I had it on, the stronger it seemed to get. I couldn’t wait to scrub it off. The only “positive” thing I can say about it is that it’s very long lasting and a little goes a long way. I’ve showered, wiped the area with vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and micellar water, and unfortunately I STILL smell it. If you like this scent and it works with your body chemistry, I suppose that longevity could be a good thing. However, it’s a STRONG no for me.

Reading reviews of this, it seems like a fragrance people either absolutely love or absolutely hate, but I’m in the first category! If I understand correctly, it smells quite different on different people. I don’t smell any of the alcohol or synthetic chemical smell people describe. It is a very difficult to describe scent, but is hands down my top favorite fragrance I’ve ever worn, and I get compliments when I wear it. If I had to put it in a fragrance category, yes, I would say it’s in the woodsy/earthy category, but that’s not quite what it’s like… I feel like we need an additional fragrance category for this scent. It doesn’t smell “like” any of the following, but it’s like it’s in the category of these(?): newborn baby skin, baby animals skin, perfect skin microbiome, this is going to sound weird, but… fungal? In the best way. The opposite of bad fungal smells like moldy carpet or person who needs to shower and wash their clothes. It’s rather like microbiotic/mycobiotic PERFECTION. Just take a chance and try it!

small bottle has no scent AT ALL

I'm super disappointed. I'm not sure if this perfume changed since i last purchased, but the scent is just not there. Im talking about spraying, and you cannot even smell it. I dosed my arm, and cannot smell it at all! And no- i have no smell issues, or sickness. I use to wear this ALL the time, and loved it! you spray and cant even smell it. I exchanged the regular for superdose thinking it would smell stronger and still nothing. This perfume smells awesome, however the "travel" bottle doesn't smell AT ALL!! Maybe the manufacture wants more people to buy the more expensive bottle, instead of "cheating" and getting the more affordable one? thats my only thought. The Perfume smells good, just not the small sizes.

wet dog scent

I was excited to get this in the Sephora Beauty for Everyone set since I'm not much of a perfume person (I'm sensitive to strong scents, indecisive, & cheap), but had heard really good things about the original NAP & have really enjoyed the other JHAG samples I've gotten.That said, this scent is absolutely horrifying. I choked and coughed when I did a test spray. At first, I thought I must have gotten a bad one bc how could anyone put this scent on the market & think it would actually be appealing to anyone?? I truly don't know how to describe this smell other than what I imagine medieval castles smelled like: little bags of potpourri being used to mask the stench of chamber pots & people that only bathed once a year.
