This spit roaster is fabulous works amazing fits a fair bit of meat on it, the only grip if any would be it could do with a wind screen/cover. I used the coal wood blocks which worked a treat. The kids helped put it all together then we lit it up and started cooking. We love it

I have had an older smaller unit that I've used for the past ten years. Had a crowd of 28 to feed on the weekend so I purchased the unit to upgrade my capacity. Performed well and cooked my suckling pig to perfection! Easy to put together. Motor turned meat efficiently. Height adjustment mechanism is limited but I managed by adjusting heat source this time around.

Had ours a couple of years now & done maybe 50 roasts with it.It's a great way to learn the many vagaries of spit-roast cooking.Pros: Affordable, easy assembly, longer spit allows cooking 2 cuts at once (great for parties), can easily double as a huge Hibachi Grill for awesome steaks.Cons: Additional forks (for simultaneous cooking of that extra cut of meat) ridiculously expensive at over $60/pair, spit height adjustment is RIDICULOUSLY cumbersome & finnicky (pre-drilled holes & 4 wing-nuts) - not what's needed when adjusting a red-hot spit midway through the cook.All in all it's a great entry into this fantastic way to cook your Sunday Lamb Roast!
Put it together Xmax Eve, roasted a suckling pig to perfection Xmas day, will do vc a lamb next!
Great spit,have done plenty and can feed an army,,only problem is height adjustment,while roasting,other wise great..
