In its literature, JURA strongly discourages the use of decalcifiers from other brands, but they do not give a reason. Why can't we use, for example, Durgol? Or any other, less costly, alternative for the purpose of cleaning our machine? We bought the JURA tablets, to be on the safe side, but we think these are terribly expensive for what you get. JURA has a huge mark-up on these. You need three tablets for just one cleaning cycle, so you only get 12 cleanings from this large canister. We have always used Clearyl filters for our water, diligently replacing these, so decalcifying should not have been required. But our machine broke down recently (and cost $750 to repair!), and the repairman told us that calcium build-up contributed to the failure. JURA needs to be more transparent about maintenance procedures for its expensive machines.

This thing does it all. We love our coffees at our local coffee shop but these are much healthier and they come out better and consistent. This machine is like having a personal barista that doesn't make mistakes in our dinning room! We used to go out for coffee on the weekends but now we plan to go on walks instead. Also a great feature is the fact we expect to break even in less than three years with the savings and we get great barista level coffee everyday.

I haven’t used them yet. Wanted to have them when they were needed.We love our E6! It tells us when to clean coffee grinds, rinse the coffee system, add water.It takes some time to determine the quantities of coffee you want, but when you do, it makes the coffee making process easy.The only comment I have is about the milk foaming system. Attaching the hose to the machine is very inconvenient and hard to do. Especially removing the little plug. It’s best to purchase another Jura Milk container to have it work well.
