Love the idea of this game and in theory / from the start page it should be amazing! However I really struggled to get it working with my iphone (still haven't managed) - and partner's android eventually worked for one song. We had lots of times where it looked like it was going to work and then timed out or noted connection issues - not ideal when your 5 year old is buzzing to get started! 2 stars instead of 1 because I'm unsure if it's our set up or the game - leaning to the game based on other feedback I've since seen online. All good with the Smyths click and collect and it was cheaper to purchase than from the playstation store too.

I have previously purchased 2019 and 2022 versions of this game. I still have a subscription to the Unlimited package which gives me access to all songs from previous versions, but that subscription doesn’t apply to this 2024 version. I tested the free trial of Dance available for this version, and it doesn’t seem to have the full catalog of songs from years previous. I also can’t figure out how to make a personal playlist, so between every song I have to search for the next song from the beginning of the menu. And as other reviewers have mentioned, this is very glitchy. I’m sticking with my 2022 version.

Not so since 2023 when they went to a hub format where all songs now exist in one game.It’s slow and laggy. It seems like they struggled in the creative department. The old version was much better on disc. At least there was less confusion about which songs are on the game. It was lackluster on the moves... probably because they used the same dancers over and over. Syles & techniques are about the same in all dance alongs. I like the unique cultures, and genre presented,that was the high point... they were wickedly low on fun kids' songs... there should have been at least 12 songs out of the 40 stated to be on this edition. 3 or 4 Disney, you buy the rest... a few more boring ones that my kid overlooks... You earn or spend more money for extra songs and avatars, simple emojis for online competitive play... I care little for that. I was just interested in new songs from ... I purchased the game expecting the in game membership to contain all the songs from previous memberships as Ubisoft brag about their expansive list of songs. Although the game and membership contain some enjoyable songs, it's missing a lot of the classics that I love the game for and I feel as though previous generations of the game and membership give players a much better value for money. If they continue to expand and improve upon the list of options then there is a possibility my opinion will change in the future; however as of January 2024, I believe previous generations to be better.

This game should not have been released. It is beyond reprehensible that in an hour, I managed to finish one song. Between the troubleshooting, contacting support, and servers simply not loading, this game is not worth the hassle. Textures aren't even downloaded. Everything down to chatacter icons are streamed. The ubisoft servers are not capable of sending a simple png to your device. The additional "Just Dance " is also a poor shadow of its former self. It adds a fraction of the songs unlimited used to offer at the same price. Sincerely, a dissapointed long time fan.
Be aware that this game does not come with a cartridge, and you will need to download the game using an online code. It doesn't even work! I kept getting the "Ubisoft server error" message. I followed all the suggested troubleshooting steps - uninstalling the game, restarting my router, and ensuring my Switch's time was synced. I even contacted their support and still haven't received a response. DO NOT BUY THIS AND YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY. I suggest purchasing the 2022 version or earlier, as that was the last one with a cartridge
I'm surprised by the many reviews that had a hard time redeeming this code cause it comes with exact instructions, little pictures that show you exactly where to go. i love this game, i get a good workout in, and so do my kiddos. the only thing i wish is that they would continue including the previous year games songs. for example, the disney encanto songs are only included in the 2023 version, like really?!?! why?? the new years should include the older years' songs.plus you still have to pay for the just dance to get the cool songs.
