Used to use this product for years with amazing results, it blended greys perfectly with a natural look. Now this new formula turns both your grey and dark hair ginger. Sort it out sharpish and bring back the original product, this is a practical joke surely.

This product is excellent. I usually use the just for men normal hair colour, I tried this product which claims to colour your hair over a period of time as a shampoo, I’m glad to report it does just that. If you colour your hair I recommend you give it a go.

Glad I saw the other comments about it changing peoples hair to different colours. Have been buying the product for years and it was great. Now it has turned my greys to black, yellow, orange colours.

Have been using this for a number of years and it was brilliant. Then they introduced a new improved formula. That’s when this great product changed. Coloured your hair a kind of orangey. I wouldn’t buy this again.
21/7/2022. I was a customer for a few years and then had the new formula which made my hair go mousy brown (was dark before I went grey). I stopped using for about a year. Saw a good review on another site that said they had sorted it out. Basically if you look on the top of the box it will have an embossed batch number (hard to see but is there).Review said anything with batch Z22B… works again. Got mine from Boots and pleased to say it does work as it used to. Still says new formula on box but works well. I left on for 1.5 minutes. Also, from past experience, I never got stained fingers if you just put a bit of soap on your fingers immediately before applying. Hope this helps. Oh and this new new formula does not look as dark as the old old one but still stains ... More21/7/2022. Was using the original formula for years with amazing results. It would gently turn grey hair into my natural black colour again just like magic. But the new formula like all the other reviewers says now turns your hair a rusty shade of orange. What have you done just for men? Haven’t you heard the saying, if it isn’t broken don’t fix it? Please, please go back to the original Control GX or lose all your loyal customers. I for one will no longer purchase this product.
I'd been using Control GX for a couple of years with great success; grey reduced in a natural-looking way. But this recently released new formula is a disaster. It’s giving my hair a reddish tinge and doesn’t cover grey any near as well. I’m mystified that the manufacturer could take such a terrible backward step. This product is no longer effective. DO NOT BUY IT.
After complaining to Combe the Parent company that own the brand just for men, about how the new formula had turned my hair a light copper colour, they asured me they were working on a new formula and would send me 2 free samples once this was complete. After about 12 weeks, and as promised they sent the two free samples which I can say are as good if not better than the original formula, and I have my hair now looking as it was before, very pleased with the product no more copper coloured hair well done Just For Men. For full disclosure have not been paid for this review nor do I have any affiliation with boots or Just for Men, this is just for all the men out there that used the product before and would like to use it again with confidence.
As many others have said, the original of this product was amazing. It did exactly what it said on the tin (tube). But this new formula turns my hair orange! Just like the hyena that fell into the blender, Ive become a laughing stock. Do not use!
I bought 4 packs of this product with the Z21XXXX batch. I had to stop using it because my hair was turning orange. Yes orange!!!!! I think the product that works is the one that starts with Z22 batch and not just the one that starts with ZXXXXXX.......be careful! It would be more correct to say that: Batch Z22XXXX = GOOD. Batch ZXXXXXX = BAD.
