So I’m probably not the demographic they would expect to use this product but… I’m so glad I saw this ‘hack’ online. I used to spend loads of money buying eyelure dyebrow kits and dying my brows every 4-6 weeks but this product has stopped all of that. I just an eyebrow and spoolie brush to apply the dye, leave it for 10-15 mins and boom, fresh dark brows that last longer and look better. The attached picture is with a tiny bit of brow glue in and they look so full and natural, I love it so much. I’ve been using this dye for months and wouldn’t go back!

I'm 39 and starting to get grey on sides and top back. I'm very active and sweat a lot. The color only seems to last 2 weeks, and that's washing with very little color safe shampoo.I tried the 2 bottle(mix method) and that one works the best. However, it is too messy and gives me dandruff. I tried the tube (with comb in applicator) and that one is easy to use. However, it only lasts like 2 weeks. I wish they would make another with smaller packages to use so I can get my money's worth. I only use less than half a tube. To be buying 2 a month, for the tube, that's like $20/month. I just may wear my grey.

I get best results from firstly making sure my hair isn't greasy before applying, not forgetting its a temporary colour, (touch of grey) so not to look an obvious sudden colour change. Washing hair after application, I found best results by rinsing hair thoroughly in warn water via a shower spray, I do not use shampoo, my experience' it doesn't rub off on my pillow. IMO its important to consider its a touch of grey not a complete colour change, unless its done weekly then it will obviously cover better. BTW my hair is thin so I apply with an ordinary comb, apply carefully to comb edge..!!

I purchased this product as a 30 year old male who has been dying his hair now for 2 years because my family has a long line of going gray early on in life. Ive used several products by just for men but this one has been the only one where I was really bummed out over when I was done. I usually use the original formula but this one looked easier to apply so I said why not?! well, it was easier to apply, WAYYY easier. And yes you leave it in longer. Since my hair can be a little stubborn I usually leave it in an extra 5 minutes so I left the color in for 15 minutes and my grays can still be seen. So im off to go purchase another batch of the original formula. I wish I saved my receipt so I could get my money back.
This is a much more user-friendly product than the usual two-step, mixing variety. Peripheral skin staining is virtually non-existent and it has a somewhat pleasant smell. It does, however, seem to leave quite a lot of your hair fairly grey. This is not necessarily a bad thing; it gives it a certain aire of "believability" that the two-step product can lack, particularly for older gentlemen. But you are definitely going to still see some grey, especially if you have a lot of it. So, your go-to product really depends on what your color goals are. This is probably as close as you're going to get to that perfect Clooneyesque mix of salt and pepper in an off the shelf product. It is similar to Touch Of Gray, but whereas Touch Of Gray Real Black seems to fade to a ... MoreThis is a much more user-friendly product than the usual two-step, mixing variety. This is probably as close as you're going to get to that perfect Clooneyesque mix of salt and pepper in an off the shelf product. It is similar to Touch Of Gray, but whereas Touch Of Gray Real Black seems to fade to a strange brownish-blonde tone, Autostop Real Black initially turns your grey a dark charcoal color with a definite blue undertone. After about a week the blue tones fade significantly and I find the end result to be more convincing overall than Touch Of Gray, at least over time.
I am someone who had dark brown hair when younger but in my old age it is going grey, especially the sideburns. I usually go for the lighter brown JFM which is okay, but I went for this Medium brown this time. It covered the hair better and continued to cover down to the roots even after then having a haircut. There was also the lack of the usual darker patches on my sideburns where my glasses rest. So incredibly happy with coverage. The lighter brown JFM seems to quickly fade after about a week, so I just need to see how long this lasts.
I have been using JFM for about 2 years. I follow the instructions to the Letter. I Always get the same result. Initially, most of the gray I have does get covered. Some hairs here and there seem to stay Gray. Every single time I use it, the gray comes back slowly and progressively until most is back after about 1.5 weeks. I always use shampoo for Color treated hair as recommended. It seems like only the outside of the hair Shaft gets colored. There is no penetration inside the hair shaft. Normal wear and tear seems to rub off the color, a little each day. I have to wrap my pillow in a towel, or my pillow gets color rubbed on to it day after day. Also, I ALWAYS leave it in my hair for at least 10 minutes after the application is completed. I really don't think I am doing anything wrong, and I am wasting tons of money. This product is not cheap. Is it possible there are hair types that this product just can't penetrate? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am seriously considering searching the Internet for Men's Hair color made by someone else.
When the comb on a tube first came out, I was like-what do I do with this? But I attached the comb to the tube and squeezed and went to work.I was used to the mix, the bottles, the massaging in of the product, but the new applicator isn't like that. Just run the comb and squeeze at the same time-the wide teeth allows the hair to easily move through it as the product comes out and covers your hair.It provides for a more precise application, especially around the edges and definitely less messy. I still wear the gloves because I'm just naturally messy and I also coat my ears and neck and forehead with a layer of vaseline, but no more mixing and bottles and all that.Plus with the auto stop formula, you don't have to worry so much about watching the time, so that's ... MoreWhen the comb on a tube first came out, I was like-what do I do with this? There is no red tinge to the brown or dark brown and as I said, with the auto-stop, there's no worry of it coming out black. In fact, I need to stop by my favorite pharmacy tonight and pick up another box.Get some today and don't tell your woman and see if she notices after you put it on.
I have used the "Auto stop" once or twice monthly for a year and like it- a lot. My untreated hair is light/medium brown with prominent gray "leopard spots". I chose sandy blond to cover grey and minimize the possible and obvious chance of "your roots are showing" issues... This also will allow my overall hair color to progress to the lighter shade over time without looking like a 90 year old woman with obvious dark hair coloring (we have all seen that!).Note to others,.. choose a lighter shade (or two) than you expect. The first day overall effect appears a little darker than you might have thought. However, by the second washing it is very natural. Even my hair stylist of 25 years was asking and surprised to find out I was doing any color by myself. Also, the small application tube becomes very slippery and hard to control while wearing gloves working with it. Perhaps the small tube could have a rough exterior or designed so it is easier to grip through entire application.
I have light brown hair and a lot of gray being 64 years of age and have used JFM for several years now in both the mix and auto stop versions. I have read poor reviews on the auto stop version saying it doesn't work. I don't try to use the product for several applications, I use the whole bottle first combing and then using the gloves to massage in to make sure I have front and back thoroughly covered. I use a paper towel to wipe any product on my ears, temple and neck after applying and waiting 10 minutes after stopping. I rinse it out and then shampoo and I am done. If you are making a mess that is an individual problem not a product problem. I don't make a mess and it works fine for me.
