This shampoo is specifically formulated for dry and damaged hair, and it claims to provide intense nourishment and hydration. In 2010, I had a disaster hair rebond that really ruined and fried my hair. I went to a salon for a hair reconstruction treatment, and I was recommended to buy a Kerastase Mask (I think it was the Oleo-Relax variant) for me to continue a home treatment. It didn't magically transform my hair back to its glorious state, BUT it definitely made my hair bearable to the sight and touch, until I grew out my hair and rid of of the damaged, fried parts. So I would say that Kerastase is a brand I really trust and would recommend to everyone.

Kérastase already has excellent lines that address damage and contain proteins so I'm not sure why they added so much to a line that is for dryness - proteins included in shampoo/conditioner can actually make your hair feel more dry (even if it technically isn't), and usually require a conditioner with no protein in order to make the hair feel softer. Unfortunately this new formula made my hair feel weighed down and a little greasy by the end of the day. It's hard to rate the shampoo as I didn't realize how the formula changed - it's no longer for my hair type so it's unfair to rate it poorly for that but I do feel justified removing one star for Kérastase changing things so much without being clear about it, and for including too much protein IMO. I hope they bring back a Bain Satin for "normal to slightly dry" and remove some proteins. This is the best smelling hair line in the world.
