The new cover fits nice. I liked the clips on the bottom to secure the cover from being blown off on windy days. I had it on for less than a week when the red faded out to yellow. The rest of the cover faded as well. Good fit but looks like hell in less than a month. It looked awesome for about 2 weeks.

After 2-3 months this cover is falling apart!!! Completely faded not black. But more importantly the red pin stripe surrounding is has delaminated. For the money this should be higher quality. Very disappointed to have an amazing high end grill with a low quality cover that looks horrible

Tighten it up, Kamado Joe— do better. This dang thing is going to look 10 years old by next summer. I have two covers, one for each of my KJs, one purchased 4 years ago and one 4 months ago. The one purchased 4 months ago is already badly faded, pictured on the right. The cover purchased 4 years ago is holding up great. The newer cover provides almost no protection for rain either. It seems to trap water underneath more than keeping it out. There is water under the cover for a day or two after it rains. You’d probably be better served not using a cover at all. I would not recommend this cover.
Bought in May. it is July and it has totally faded. NOT for use in sun or really weather. Ribbing fraid from just wind. Boo. It does protect grill so theres that. My Traeger cover has been used longer and looks like the day it was purchased.
The cover seems to be well made, however the iconic red Kamado Joe kettle symbol and the word Joe don't really look good in pink. I've had the cover 3 months and the red has rapidly faded to pink, and may fade away within a few more months at the present rate. I've had a cover for my gas grill from a major manufacturer that features their red logo. The color on it has not faded in five years of exposure and use. Kamado Joe needs to look into options for their red color. It doesn't affect the operation, it just doesn't look good for such an otherwise well made line of products.
This cover was $80 plus and it faded after a few months and it sits under a cover so it is partially shaded. I agree with the other reviewer. The red piping only looked good for a short period of time. After buying a top quality grill, I would like for it to look high quality with the cover on. It is functional, but makes a very great grill look really bad.
I have the Classic Joe III. It shipped right away and fits like a glove. I haven't had a winter with it yet so hard to say if it will hold up to the conditions, but just from the feel it looks like it will do the job. I wish it covered the wheels but other than that it fits great. Easy to take off and put on.
Totally amazing the way my new Kamado Joe maintained its temp for 10hrs+ smoking a pork shoulder WITHOUT the use of the temp control device. The temp just didn't budge! I almost hate to say this, but I was a Big Green Egg user for 15 years, but the Kamado Joe just performed better. Cleanup is way easier as well.

The Kamado Joe Big Joe 2 is radically better. The design is better. Parts fit together tightly and are assembled properly. As a result, temperature control is easy, predictable, and reliable. And given the fact that food can be cooked much closer to or much further from the coals.
