Kamisama Kiss Vol. 1 by Julietta Suzuki

My new favorite manga!You will enjoy this story about a girl who loses everything and gets chosen to be a local deity.In the beginning she is either being attacked or trying to be eaten by some demon or other deity. It is quite funny and keeps you on your toes.Her personality is resilient and she strives to do her best regardless of the odds or what she might be up against.

This is a brilliant shojo manga with a great anime adaptation. It isn't as cloyingly romantic as most shrine maiden stories and has a good amount of humour! Good for kids too, I've just introduced my 7 year old neighbour to it and she loves it.

Anime fan turn Manga fan

I watched and fell in love with the anime (with subtitles). However the anime does not go to the end of the story line nor does it contain all the information. Therefore I decided to start reading manga. I know its not completely translated to English yet. Hurry up Americans!!!! Best romance manga ever!!!

I watched this anime a while back, and it was one of my fav romance anime. I decided to buy it because I wanted to read it and get more details about the storyline. I really love this manga and it was in great condition!!

Honestly it was very good in my honest opinion and it was worth the cash.:)

I been a fan of Julietta Suzuki's works for awhile now and I love her work so I decided to support her by buying her manga. And what can I say, the art is beautiful and the story is lovely. She does great work and also inspires me as an artist. I also want to be a comic artist someday. The characters are flawed and I feel like people can relate to them. That's very important when trying to tell a story. I wouldn't be interested in reading about perfect characters because to me that's not even human and it's also really boring. Anyway, as for the story it's very slow paced but, it get's better and it's worth the read. I certainly enjoy it and I would recommend it. I am certainly collecting all the volumes that are available right now. When I first read this manga I didn't like the fox boy, Tomoe, very much but, as the story progresses he starts to grow on me. As for the main character, I feel like I can really relate to her and she is very human.Despite being human in a very demonic world she is very positive. There is times when I didn't like this character as much but, she also has grown on me.There is a bit of action in this series but, it's more of a comical way so I wouldn't expect something that's super action packed. This is a shojo after all. Many have compared this story to Inuyasha and honestly there is similarities but, to me anyway they are very different stories.Inuyasha has more action while Kamisama kiss is more of a romance story.I certainly enjoy both series. If you like supernatural,yokai and romance I highly recommend this story. It really makes me happy reading it when I am having a bad day. It's also sometimes funny and the story is very light but, can be sometimes very sad and depressing but, all and all, worth it. Also, another reason why I brought this manga was because I really like hearing what the author has to say on the sides of the comic pages. I hope someone reads my review and hopefully enjoys this manga as much as I do.

I am very happy with it

The volumes are so hard to find but I was finally able to purchase the first volume. It came in perfect condition (as expected by booktopia) and arrived quickly. I love it :)

If you're a shojo fan, do yourself a favor and READ THIS

Kamisama Kiss is shoujo that I hold dear to my heart and might I even claim to be my favorite romance manga of all time.A fun story of the budding romance between Nanami, a newly appointed land god and Tomoe, a powerful fox Yokai who serves as her primary familiar. This is a story of their forbidden yet wholesome love and it's just *chefs kiss*!!!! Tomoe is not your typical shoujo male protagonist; this red light district loving fox could be considered rough around the edges while nanami is your average high school student.Before I ramble on, I just have to say that this story is best experienced in person and is a must read for any shoujo manga fan!! Also there's a two season anime out that is an adaption worthy of this title's ... More10/10 series!!!!! Kamisama Kiss Vol. 1

I loved the anime, and, to no surprise, I'm loving the manga. I can't wait to get farther in the story to assuage my desire for a continued anime.

One of my favourites!

My mum actually gifted me both seasons of the anime when I was younger & I instantly fell in love. There has been no update on whether or not we'll be getting a 3rd season, so I decided to collect this manga & finally read the ending.

All of the books were in really good shape! I'm really glad I made this purchase and can't wait to read the series again :)
