Amazing stands

Really everything from the packaging to the design and use of the product has been thought through.Having the speaker wire able to run through the stands keeps the stands having a great minimalistic modern look. The two sized top plates and the ability to rotate them up to 45 degrees when using the furthest wholes make speaker placement super easy. They also have a nice foam top that won't scratch the speakers and provides a bit of friction (if you have the matching Kanto speakers you can even screw them into the stands making them impossible to knock off, there are probably other brands with that too but rest assured it's not needed just a nice bonus)I feared these might be too light of speaker stands but rest assured they are more than heavy enough and have a ... MoreReally everything from the packaging to the design and use of the product has been thought through.Having the speaker wire able to run through the stands keeps the stands having a great minimalistic modern look. The two sized top plates and the ability to rotate them up to 45 degrees when using the furthest wholes make speaker placement super easy. Only complaint I had is on the rubber feet for the hard floor the rubber covered the last thread on 2 of the feet but it was really easy to remove with a tweezer in a few seconds once I realized that was why they wouldn't screw in all the way (see the photo attracted where the middle one is proper). Obviously the carpet spikes won't have this issue.

I was apprehensive about buying these because my R65 monitors weigh over 15 lbs. each and the Kanto stands looked slightly spindly. I was pleasantly surprised by the build and weight of these stands. I was also impressed with the packaging and ease of assembly. The heavy white finish worked perfectly for me and the monitors are standing rock solid.Read This: Save yourself some grief when assembling... run the power cable through the posts before you assemble. A 3-prong power plug will not go through the bottom hole when the base is attached. Also, make sure you run the wires through the back section of the internal braces because you won't be able to screw on the base.

I've owned these speaker stands for a few weeks now and they're holding up well - If I could give 2.5 stars I would because the stands are heavy, solid, and decent looking with a nice built-in angle adjustment that makes it easy to make your setup look symmetric with your speakers angled in. But, since I can only give 2 or 3 stars, I'd choose to round down because the pair I received suffered from some pretty straightforward and preventable quality issues I don't believe to be becoming of a product in this price range.I bought these stands for use with a pair of Elac Debut 2.0s for my girlfriend's birthday. I'll start by saying I did not understand until after purchasing that these are actually designed for use with Kanto speaker products. I won't fault the stands ... MoreI've owned these speaker stands for a few weeks now and they're holding up well - If I could give 2.5 stars I would because the stands are heavy, solid, and decent looking with a nice built-in angle adjustment that makes it easy to make your setup look symmetric with your speakers angled in. I'll start by saying I did not understand until after purchasing that these are actually designed for use with Kanto speaker products. I won't fault the stands for this - I suppose I could have done more research (even though I don't see this indicated anywhere in the product description, questions or reviews on this site). They do seem to work with other speakers. Mine are held to the stands by gravity instead of by fasteners, as is the design intent for compatible Kanto products. The real downfall in my experience was when we went to put the stands together. When installing the carpet spikes to the base plates, the fit of the threads felt very tight. We ended up using a pliers wrench of mine to run the spikes in that marred the powder coat on the spikes, which I figured was OK because you won't be able to see them with carpet as thick as ours anyway. When trying to install the angle adjustment plate, however, we found the fit of these fasteners was also tight, except in this case it caused a failure: every one of the button head cap screws we tried to install per the instructions stripped out at the hex with almost no torque applied. We tried both the cheap allen wrench that shipped with the speakers, as well as a higher quality allen wrench of mine that also caused the head to strip out.I didn't want to deal with repackaging and returning the product, so we set them up temporarily without these fasteners installed. In this configuration the speakers were free to rotate and wobbly atop the stands. I decided this was acceptable for temporary mounting of this speaker pair. It might not be acceptable in the eyes of many others. I ordered replacement 10-32 x .250 inch fasteners and washers, which were smaller than what our local hardware store would stock, so I had to wait a week for fasteners to arrive. As an aside, I was surprised to discover by measurement that these speaker stands shipped with inch hardware, when metric is pretty much the de-facto standard for consumer products like this in my experience. I also ordered a 10-32 bottoming tap to chase the threads with. Total this cost me around $30. Upon chasing the threads when this stuff arrived, I discovered the threaded holes weren’t masked prior to application of powder coat, which caused the issue to begin with. I also discovered that the replacement fasteners I ordered did a fine job of clearing out the powder coated threads without stripping out. I spent around half an hour chasing the threads and installing new fasteners and with that done, the stands work pretty well.TL;DR Kanto should at a minimum either mask the threads in these stands’ parts prior to application of powder coat, or not cheap out on fasteners; preferably neither, but definitely not both. Not all customers would go to the length that I did to get these properly assembled. The photos should say it all. I would not recommend these stands for any speaker unless you are prepared to go to the lengths I described above to get them assembled.

Fantastic stands!
19 June 2019

Love these stands! They are sturdy and have a very heavy base. They look simple and hide all of my cables by running them through the stand. The instructions are easy, with all of the bolts/feet inserted in a cardboard holder. It comes with 2 different size top plates. I'm using the smaller version with my Audioengine A2+ speakers. The only downside is the bolt to affix the speaker to the top pad was too long for my Audioengines. I ended up placing a rubber washer on the bolt and it tightened down just fine. Well worth the price!

Happy with this purchase.

Very solid steel construction with great build quality. Look great with my white Wharfedale 11.2 and the cable management lends to the look. While meant for the Kanto speakers, the 7” top plate worked for me. Not sure you can use the rotating feature for a non-Kanto speaker but I toe them in anyway. Speakers are now at optimum performance by being at the correct height. My first purchase from World Wide. Arrived quickly. Will buy from WWS in the future based on this experience. Thanks.

Outstanding product for the money
30 May 2020

Very sturdy and all steel. They really were not made for the speakers I have (Klipsch), but they work very well. I just wish the larger plate was just a little larger (Yes they come with 2 plates). I recommend them and would buy them again in a snail's breath. I bought them them thru Best Buy, but they were out of stock, Got them in about 5 business days. The wait was well worth it. You get what you pay for and you can pay a lot more for something that may not work for you. Study the specifications and speak with them if you can or contact Best Buy or Crutchfield about them.

Perfect
22 September 2022

The Kanto stands look like furniture but they are hardware. Easy to assemble. These well designed stands are not just lightweight speaker stands. The large majority of the assembled mass is in the bottom platform which gives these stands tremendous stability. It feels like any speaker up to 20 pounds would be safely supported by these stands. I don't know the recommended limit, this just my guess.

Perfect for our ProMonitor 1000 speakers
19 June 2019

Bought these when we were having trouble getting the "official" stands from Definitive Technology and they've worked out great. Only took a few minutes to assemble. Wires ran nicely up the tube and the speakers attached securely to the top.Love that the stands have some weight to them and I don't have any worries about them knocking over. Plus, they're the perfect height to pair with our TV, which is sitting on a stand.Would definitely buy these again if I'm in the market for a well made pair of stands.
