You can assist its progress down the drain by carefully feeding some additional length into the drain and allow the nozzle end to advance under the force of the rear facing water jets, watching for any sign if the appearance of dislodged debris and discoloured water as the work of the hose progresses. The job should be continued until clean water is flowing back towards you, indicating that the drain is both free flowing and clean. Carefully extract the hose from the drain whilst applying pressure until you approach the appearance of the nozzle end, and the job is done. You will be amazed at difference this product achieves, however it will not negotiate gulley traps due to the tight bends and is designed to clear open drains beneath manhole covers. The product works very effectively and you will want to clean all your drain runs as it is very satisfying to see clean water once again running in your drains. Such is the scouring power of the nozzle jets that fine roots are severed as it progresses under its own motive power provided by a Karcher pressure washer, in my case the K7 model. Invest in this hose, you will not be disappointed.

Does the job - 25m drain with sand

I bought this last week to solve a blocked driveway drain, which runs 25m to the lane drain. I live in a sandy area and i think sand had accumulated and then set.Worked like a charm, I was able to run it from both ends to clear what felt like numerous obstacles and got each one cleared. I found it very easy to use. as others have said, getting the hose all straightened out first is best.It took a while to do one of them. I did a bit, then left it for an hour and tried again.It's raining today and draining fine - saved a plumber call out.It's likely sand might get in again, so it's good to have the tool for the job to hand now

Excellent product.

What an amazing bit of kit. Our lives are blighted by pine needles and cones. They block everything including down pipes and gutters. One particular down pipe has been the bane of my life as it constantly gets blocked and rainwater spills over the windows and side of the house. This cleared it all in approximate 10 minutes! What I hadn't appreciated was that with the backward facing jets the nozzle flew up the pipe and managed to negotiate a 60 degree bend and then at the top a 90 bend. I got the most satisfying soaking ever. 10/10. Service from eSpares wasn't bad either

Fabulous product - paid for itself many times over.

Due to a slightly bad drain design, and an over-exuberant child. the drain from the downstairs bathroom at the front of our property, feeding to the main to the rear, often gets blocked and "backs-up". First time I called out a mate to help me unblock it, and it took a few hours (wasting the first 45 minutes because I told him the drain flowed a different direction.) using traditional rods, screws and plungers. A horrible, messy job! This occurs 2-3 times per year - at least now I spot the signs quite early... Rather than depend on a mate or call-out to a "drain specialist" I went looking for some drain rods, and made a punt on purchasing the 15m model of kit... I was very skeptical, but it is amazing! Now it takes about 30 minutes to carefully feed it from the rear mains up the blocked one - and a few cycles of letting it "bump" into the blockage, and pulling it back a foot or so -- repeatedly... Clears the blockage really quickly and efficiently! What's more - I only have to lift one drain cover (at the rear) to clear the job -rather than the ones at the front too... I also repeat the job up each direction of the main drain and feeds to it (including neighbors) for good measure - and it has a massive reach. The most difficult part about using it is cleaning it afterwards - I roll it up, and dump it in a bucket with water & detergent or bleach for about 15 minutes, then into a bucket of clean water, before packing away. Goggles and gloves a must - perhaps also protective clothing, but as they say in the video - avoid using the pressure for the first / last few feet to avoid any nasty splash-back! So, this small purchase has probably saved £100s in call out fees... :-)

Great product

Bought in store after first trying several other tools like drain snake to clear a difficult clog. After some research I found many suggestions to use a high pressure hose. So I found this in Bauhaus and tried it out. Worked perfectly on first attempt. Fed the hose through until I could feel the blockage. Then turned it on and moved the hose around, in and out. At first the material clog came to the surface and eventually the drain cleared completely. Saved a small fortune instead of calling the plumber.

The drain cleaner was delivered promptly. Our drain pipes are not straight forward so it needed my husband and myself to operate the Karcher kit. Placing the pipe into the top of the drainpipe was the easy part. The bottom of the pipe also had a 90 degree bend which goes into a soak away with a very small opening so it was difficult placing the pipe underneath and feeding it upwards as the drainpipe was blocked in two places. Once this was done clearing the drainpipe was easy. We have determined to use it regularly on drainpipes around the house to prevent a build up of detritus. It saves time and money contacting plumbers, waiting for them to turn up and pay for the job to be done. It put and end to jokes about the wife and her gadgets! It does the job

This was quite expensive when I bought it a year ago but it is cheaper than a plumber call-out! The only problem that you should be aware of is that there is no forward facing jet, just the three or four rear facing jets. This means that stubborn blockages are not that easy to shift because it has to force the head into the blockage for the rear facing jets to clear it. I don't know why a good company like Karcher would miss that vital feature. If I was buying again I would definitely get one which also had a single forward facing jet as well as the rear facing ones. I did see one at the time of purchase but this one was made by Karcher so I thought it would be OK.

If you're working a confined space, then you need to back right out and straighten the pipe before use, but then also have one extra person holding it to prevent it coiling back up and getting itself tangled while the other person works the pipe into the drain. And that can be a two handed job, so you need a 3rd person to hold the trigger.Second, it got stuck! Seems like a fairly stupid bit of design really. Why not have a smoothly ramped edge that cannot catch on anything? Anyway, we eventually managed to work it free. But it was a worried half hour!

Life saver.

Great item! Had a completely blocked waste drain underground on a public holiday. Bought this unit and plugged it up to my little Karcher k2 gun. 15minutes later my waste drain was completely unblocked. Wonderful addition that has already paid for itself. Initially couldn't make 90 degree bends, but when the water pressure was on and pushing it went through with ease, bit of back and forth on the blockage and it was cleared. Recommend buying the 15m. For another 25% you have twice the length.

What a money saver

my own fault allowed chipping stones to get into main drain,,,,coupled with bum wipes that dont dissolve as well as they say, clogged up my drain big time.This little wizard went in about 30 feet and with about an hour of blasting and probing blockage went wooooosh..sweetest music ever.finished off with a hosing to ensure all debris swept away £76,60 job done for the price of a call out charge for the big boys. Im sure my neighbours will come knocking too . she is not a heavy duty thing but can do the trick
