The S4 Twin makes it easy to sweep a large area of small debris and dirt. Like a broom, it does not pick up 100% of fine dust and dirt. And like a broom, it does kick up some dust into the air if there is a lot of fine dust/dirt, such as can be found on a garage floor. I like the side brushes to get the debris that is against a wall. I always wear an N95 mask when using the S4 on a large interior commercial garage. In 20 minutes I can sweep up what used to take several hours with a broom. Every few passes I lift the storage bucket to move the debris to the back of the bucket, which prevents the older debris from staying in close contact with the main brush. I bought this a month ago and could not wait to use it to collect the leaves off the patio and driveway. Apparently a simple push and most of the leaves would be picked up! This is not the case as 1) it only collects a very small amount of leaves and you have to go over the heap of leaves a few times, 2) forget about collecting wet leaves. It doesn’t collect anything at all. I wished I had read more reviews before purchasing it.

My biggest issue with this is the cost, for what essentially is a circular motion brush. This isn't electric or petrol; it's something you push along and the brushes move in a circular fashion pulling the leaves etc. into a small bin.The included brushes are ok for dry leaves but any type of wet leaf requires the hard brushes, which you have to order separately.But.... saying all of this, it does the job. The bin isn't that big, so a regular emptying is required. And I suppose, it does get me moving and walking.Folds up nicely for storage.So, in summary, if it had been half the price, I would be eulogising... but it wasn't and I'm not!

I have a large uneven drive with fir tress on both sides which shed thier pine needles and also small branches. The sweeper gets stuck on the uneven parts and all the branches get bunched up at the front of the roller brush just before the dust pan. I think much stiffer brushes at the front would be better. All the videos show this on a nice even flat surface but that's not often reality. It's good but could be better
Purchase this product to sweep up leaves. on grass its great. on open areas it collects the loose gravel as well as leaves and small branches. Which is not so great. be keeping it around, as there are pathways that could do with a through sweep now and then. I would recommend this sweeper for solid pathways and grassed areas. Years ago, I had one that was adjustable. but then I changed vocation and sold it.

So far I am overall pleased with the effectiveness of the product. It was easy to assemble and easy to use right from the get-go. I would say this product will get more abuse than maybe what it is intended for, as its being used in a machine shop with lots of dirt, spilled oil/saw dust, steel shavings, and steel cut offs. Only concerning part about this product is where the handle is secured to the base. The tightening screws doesn't secure as well as they should, which can cause the handle to drop. This product doesn't do a spot less clean job, but it works great for us since it takes a lot less time to get an area clean enough to keep moving forward with incoming projects. I don't knock any points off for this but I am curious how the wheels will hold up in our shop with all the debris it may come across when we are using it. I could definitely go for a Heavy Duty version of this product if they come out with one. At this time, I would probably buy this again, because it does save a lot of time, and is a lot less straining than using a broom.
Strongly recommended for those who must clean concrete floor frequently. I have trees in front and back of the house; it's nice to have shades, but trees also mess up the concrete patio, sidewalk and driveway. with the Karcher S4 sweeper, it cut down the sweeping time from 90 minutes to 20 minutes. I have been using it for a month and really like it, not only for its effectiveness, but also for the high quality built into the product. I highly recommend the product.
I received the KÄRCHER S 4 Twin to use at my house and husband’s Barbershop. This product came nicely packaged in a surprisingly small box. Upon unboxing, I noticed you had to put some pieces together which was very easy (no tools required). The instructions are very simple, straightforward and the pictures helped. Once I got it assembled, I was able to go outside on my driveway and sweep up debris effortlessly! This S4 Twin is easy to push, maneuver and empty. The front lifts up and you’re able to dump out what the little rotating brushes collected in the bin. As someone who loves to sweep this takes all the hard work out of collecting the sweepings. It works best on a flat surface without too many dips. I have a lot of hard landscaping and it has made it a pleasure to keep it tidy. Recently we cleaned the block paving drive and after brushing in the sand the sweeper cleared up the excess sand with ease. You do have to sweep the same area several times but that is not a problem. Doesn’t work well in confined spaces. My favourite toy!
Did not disappoint ! Bought this to clean my half block street/curb area that between the massive fir needle drop and the neighbor's maple leaves had creaed a potential hazard area ( slick and thick). It took some time but the results were outstanding - took several passes to get down to bare pavement but the magic machine was worth its weight in gold ! Raking and sweeping are no longer an option for me and so a big thank you to Karcher for a well built and well engineered product. Ordered the heavier duty brushes for wet/heavy use but the regular brushes that come with the machine worked just fine even though the needles and leaves were halfway between wet and dry. Just amazing !!!
