Karcher WV 1 Plus Window Vac 1.633-612.0

I have never liked washing windows but then we bought a house and now I have no excuse. Buying a Karcher windows cleaner changed my attitude towards windows cleaning completely. The device is easy to use and so effective. I was a lot of windows at a time without being annoyed. I buy special Karcher washing liquid. The window vacuum costs GBP40, the liquid costs a fiver. My only concern is that the bottle that sucks in excessive liquid leaks a bit, I don't know if it is because my device is faulty or not.

I wish, I bought it earlier!!! Windows are normally cleaned by husband and he uses old school method: glass cleaner and roll of paper tissues. Yes, they come out clean okay, but takes ages and what a waste of paper towels!!! I decided to upgrade to this little gadget and use it not only for Windows, but also shower screens and mirrors. First of all, it has handle so is easy to hold and use. It is lightweight and is easy to operate. Device has also two attachments bigger one, that Inuse for windows and smaller one that I use for showerscreens. It comes also with a little bottle where I add in some cleaning solution and precast my windows. Let's put it that way! I enjoy using it and our windows look spotless!

I wish I bought this sooner. I work at home and I have bifolding doors which constantly get dirty, the device has already paid for itself as I was paying a window cleaner fortnightly. I can also use this for my car windows and take it to family and friends houses as it is easy to transport and has a great battery life. I would highly recommend this product which year round saves you a lot of money

Fantastic product. I totally recommend this, every home needs one. It has a rechargeable, built in battery and comes with a mains plug. This model comes with a spray bottle and sponge. I bought just the basic model, which comes with 2 different size squeegee heads, it costs around £50. I use it on my windows, mirrors, shower screen and bathroom tiles. Such a handy gadget. I just wash my windows with heavily diluted washing up liquid, then use this water vacuum. It leaves the windows virtually smear free, just finish off with a microfibre cloth. This is great it’s so handy especially during winter with all the moisture residue in the windows, we usually just wipe with a microfibre cloth which cleans well but not as good as this window vac quite frankly I’m not sure how we managed without. We use fairy liquid if we run out of their amazing window cleaning solution and our windows and mirrors are sparkling.

Makes job easy

With COVID I skipped having my windows cleaned by my wonderful window cleaner and they got pretty bad. I ran across this product and decided to try it, I’m so glad I did. For the outside windows I first cleaned the grime off with a bucket of water with a little ammonia and liquid detergent. Our downstairs is entirely divided light French doors and windows with lots of ledges that collect dust. Then I used the window cleaner that comes with the vacuum squeegee and then the vacuum, perfectly spotless and streak free windows! The cleaner smells great, by the way.

Moreover, it needs to be charged- not something I think about when I am about to clean. What is this product? It is a 2-step cleaner. In the first step, you spray the propriety cleaner on the surface and rub with the microfiber. This to me is akin to windex. In the next step, you suction the fluid off- this is the part I was hesitant about. However, this is brilliant/ Perhaps not necessary for windows, but for mopping, yes. It allows you to quickly dry part or all of your floor, preventing dirty footprints. It also is a great floor cleaner, allowing for a quick spot mop.The fluid itself is great too. This bothers me as I do not know if I can use it on marble or natural stone. It also makes me nervous, as I don't know if it leaves a residue on cooking surfaces or something the cats could get into. Cleaning windows and showers is not our favorite thing to do at the house. My husband works in the glass business. He gave the Karcher Window Vacuum and Cleaner a 7/10. First step is to use the spray bottle-placed the window cleaner concentrate which had a citrus smell in the bottle-sprayed the glass and shower door-cleaned it with the microfiber cloth-It cleaned the glass except for taking off the dried toothpaste that was stuck to the mirror-The bottle did leak when tilting a certain way. Second step battery operated window vacuum worked very well. It cleaned and suctioned the cleaner better then any paper towel could ever do this. No streaks..I could this being very practical but rather bulky for a way to clean things. [Rewarded Review] Overall not bad

I received the WV 1 Plus window cleaner free as a sample. Overall, it's a pretty good product, but I had a few problems with it...the 2 outer corner edges of the squeegee blade are too flimsy & don't stay on track with the rest of the blade. Thus there are wet marks on the edges of the glass; if you try to squeegee over that, then it's too dry & squeaks, so you have to add more spray. If you don't use a complete fluid motion downward & perhaps get stuck in the middle, you have another liquid mark to address. I had to use a paper towel to wipe all the edges of the glass afterwards. The product doesn't streak, but it does leave marks that you have to wipe off. It's too bad the whole thing is 2 separate hand-held items & that it can't all be combined into 1 item.
