So this is number 5 of this type of jacket; for the tall 8 yr old, usually a size 12 in the chest but went with the size 14 which was a good plan as the sizing is a bit smaller than the label, arm and body length very good. Have no doubt that it will be as warm and as practical as the grown-up versions and glad to have him in reliable insulation (down) this winter. Bright colour is fantastic, easy to see in forest or low visibility, nice to have non-boring colours for a little boy.

Great Jacket. After reading the reviews, a lot said they were small sizing and had recommended sizing up, so I ordered a size 6 for my 3 year old who is currently in a size 3 heading into a size 4 - Luckily I did, the 6 fits him perfectly now with room for an extra couple of layers underneath. Definitely size up from your child’s usual size.
Loved this purchase of a size 8 hooded jacket for our 5 year old grandson. He was kept very warm on a trip to Mt Bulla- first snow experience. Thanks to Mable and the team at the BGO store on my click and collect assistance as had to organise our son to collect same day for the trip
Exceptional quality and value. Warm and practical. Perfect for our young teenage son. Correct size and length without the bulk and can wear layers underneath.
Super warm and such great quality. Can't go wrong with the Kathmandu down jacket for early morning school bus stops and general outdoor adventures in chilly rural Vic. I've bought them before, and am a repeat buyer. Also feels slightly better quality than Macpac, so I'm glad I trusted my instinct with Kathmandu.
Great coat for the price (brought on clearance). Used in Tasmania in wet, cold and windy weather. No complaints of cold and it dried out pretty fast overnight for next day of wear. Nice colour for boys coat.
My son liked this jacket so much that when he grew out of last one, we bought another one - exactly the same style and colour. Warm, good length, good pockets, complete with hood.
Bought this jacket for myself; I’m 5’2 and usually wears size 8 in Women’s size. It fits me well and the length is longer which I really like. I was looking for a down jacket with hoodie in black color and at a cheaper range, I find this perfect for me. Very warm and I’ve been wearing it almost every day going to work.
