So good, almost great! My first AL Sport Kaweco after having the regular ones for a while. It's sturdy, feels great on the hands, and the ink flows well whenever I use it. My biggest reason for it being almost great is because the grip is somehow even thinner than the non-AL pens! Guess the Perkeo pens are the thickest gripped pens from this brand as of now.Still very happy with this pen, will get a dedicated pen pouch for it.

A perfect pocket pen! I was surprised by how lightweight (and just generally tiny!) it is, but it still has enough heft to make it satisfying to hold and to write with. As far as writing goes, it skipped on me a little out of the box (perhaps I hadn't homed in on the sweet spot yet), but now it's absolutely perfect. Smooth and consistent.I carry this pen in my pocket every day, and the body has quickly acquired some very pleasing wear. This includes distinctive marks at the middle and end of the barrel, presumably where the cap "grips" it when posted. Some might find this non-uniformity off-putting, but I kind of like it. The extra cost for this material is a little steep given how affordable the nibs themselves are, but it's totally worth it for me. While I can't ... MoreA perfect pocket pen! While I can't speak to whether or not it will last lifetimes (as people often say of "fancier" pens), it feels like a tool worth cherishing for years. The cool retro packaging certainly adds to this effect. The filling mechanism is probably my only gripe, and I guess it's partly just a consequence of the pen's small size. The only converter available is (obviously) pretty low capacity and (from what I've read) not a perfect fit for this pen. I use syringe-filled cartridges to get my bottled ink fix, and I really don't mind.Ultimately, it's a cool look and, in my opinion, a must-have for those like me whose short-term memories have been made entirely redundant by pocket notebooks and planners. Even as I buy "nicer" pens for longer, at-home writing sessions or just to explore the hobby, I suspect this little fella will be my main EDC pen for a long time.

My previous order of a caran d'ache 849 and estie slim was a disappointment as both had Euro-grade F nibs and did not suit my hand and writing style, but this Kaweco more than makes up for it! It's surprisingly light and despite looking like it might be slippery to hold, provides a reasonable amount of traction; sometimes when my fingers do slip slightly I just change my grip to hold the threads which are pretty comfortable anyway despite my sensitive skin. The cap posts smoothly unlike my older AC sport which grated a bit and which had an even slicker(ie harder to grip) section. I am also lucky to have a F nib which writes perfect lines with a lovely subtle feedback; it doesn't dry out even when left uncapped for several minutes as happens when I'm taking notes ... MoreMy previous order of a caran d'ache 849 and estie slim was a disappointment as both had Euro-grade F nibs and did not suit my hand and writing style, but this Kaweco more than makes up for it! However I must mention that it's also a fingerprint magnet, so I do give it a quick polish after each use to preserve that nice shiny look while it's still new. The dings and abrasions I don't mind so much as they're like a badge of honour. So all in all I must say that this has become a bit of a workhorse as it seems to be the one I often reach for in my ceramic mug of pens. Honorable mention must also be made of a lime frosted kaweco sport ballpoint which I bought with this and which is remarkably handy for quick jots ! Thank you, Jetpens, again.

I have been eyeing this pen for a while, and I'm glad I finally decided to purchase it! The matte black aluminum is very satisfying to hold and the nib writes well so far: no complaints! I am using Lamy ink in the Kaweco Mini Fountain Pen Converter, which I also purchased from JetPens. Highly recommend the converter so you don't have to keep buying refills. As usual my order arrived very quickly and without any issues. Thanks Jet Pens!

Excellent, balanced weight when writing. Superior nib replacement system (when compared to the standard plastic Kaweco Sport). After 10 months of consistent use, I was bummed out when the cap stopped screwing properly to the pen. I tried using a rubber band to secure the cap and quickly realized that wasn't going to work for me.When contacting JetPens to inquire about buying a replacement cap, I was gratefully surprised that my pen was under warranty and that, upon receipt and review of my pen, I may be able to get a replacement cap.I just received my pen with new cap. Everything is working as needed. Thanks for the excellent customer service.

picked this up for every day carry along with my liliput. this is my first sport and i already love this pen and will carry it over the liliput because it uncaps faster and posts faster. the Anthracite finish is nice, and personally i don't find it slippery to use like others have mentioned. however i did wrap a piece of purple washi tape around where i would grip just in case but it is mostly for looks.my only complaint is that i should have ordered a broad or a fine instead of the medium as i already own a liliput with a medium and i believe that i can swap nibs between these 2 pens but there's no point if they're both in med. so i spent like an extra 30$ on a double broad and fine replacement nibs to swap in. but this is my fault for ordering both in med and ... Morepicked this up for every day carry along with my liliput. this is my first sport and i already love this pen and will carry it over the liliput because it uncaps faster and posts faster. the Anthracite finish is nice, and personally i don't find it slippery to use like others have mentioned. however i did wrap a piece of purple washi tape around where i would grip just in case but it is mostly for looks.my only complaint is that i should have ordered a broad or a fine instead of the medium as i already own a liliput with a medium and i believe that i can swap nibs between these 2 pens but there's no point if they're both in med. so i spent like an extra 30$ on a double broad and fine replacement nibs to swap in. but this is my fault for ordering both in med and will not effect my rating of the pen.

This pen has been on my wish list for a while. I purchased this to be my every day carry and really wanted something just a little nicer, but not super fancy. The pen fits the bill. When posted, it is perfectly a weighted - just tad heavier than the pens I've been writing with, but comparable to the Lamy AL Star in weight and feel. It writes like a dream straight out of the box. The tin box it arrived in is the perfect place to store extra cartridges and fountain pen things. I purchased the mini piston converter so I could use my own archival ink, and it was really easy to ink up the first time. The Fine nib produces a very soft line that doesn't bleed through Tomoe River Paper. This is an excellent pen. I'm sorry I waited so long to purchase.

A Few Belated Realizations Concerning Raw Aluminum
5 January 2023

First off, no problems with Pen Boutique. The pen is great, though I have found it does scratch easily, it doesn't really bother me.What I have realized since getting it, is that raw aluminum probably wasn't the best choice for me in the environment that I am in, as I am very close to the ocean, and there is a lot of salt content in the air, along with humidity. Also, I have to be careful and avoid torquing the cap on the pen when tightening it, to avoid the two binding, as it was pointed out to me, and is posted about on Kaweco's website. I have the gold version, and enjoy it alot, use it for work. Wanted the shiny aluminum for everday carry. Might just get the silver version to mitigate the environmental effects on raw aluminum, until I can move to a less salty ... MoreFirst off, no problems with Pen Boutique. I've been loving the plastic Kaweco Sports and decided to splurge on a metal one. This one is perfect. Not as heavy as the brass (and it doesn't stink like the brass) but has a nice weight to it. I like the smooth finish on the raw AL better than the anodized finish because it's easier for me to grip. I bought a stub nib to swap and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it writes. It did need a quick gentle pass on the micro mesh to clear up some minor hard starts but nothing I haven't done to most of my pens. I've been really impressed with Kaweco's nibs and this stub writes so smoothly - the feed is perfect - wet without being too wet. This is one of those pens I just can't put down.
