I don't usually get many yellow or orange pens, but I did love the colour of this pen. Like any other Kaweco Sport, I've found this to be a reliable writer. I've accumulated a whole collection of these little pens now and have been thoroughly enjoying them. They're compatible with both the gold and steel nibs Kaweco offers and it's very easy to find replacement nibs for them. Getting it tuned by a nib specialist can take it to a whole new level as well. Mine have been writing well out of the box though

This is my 4th Sport--Natural Coconut, Toyama Teal, Anthracite, and now the Sweet Banana. I love yellow fountain pens, and I didn't have a Sport with a medium nib yet, so I pulled the trigger and bought it. It's great--just like my others, plus...it's yellow. The folks at Pen Boutique are always great. No problems with ordering or delivery. 5 stars all the way.

This is a great pen to keep in your pocket, purse or backpack. Converting it to an "eyedropper" pen quadruples the amount of ink it carries, making it the best back up fountain pen I've ever had. It's always ready, with plenty of ink to make sure you never have to borrow a rollerball in a pinch. I got the Natural Coconut one so I can see the (huge) ink capacity at a glance. It's a good pen at a great price. Everyone should have one for traveling, or just because they're a huge fun in a tiny package.

Love the size, light weight, width, and grip section. Comfortable to write with, considering I am a righty but use a hooked hand position with the nib facing down. I've changed inks a couple of times, and although I did experience a little burping the first time, I pushed the nib in a little more and made sure there was less air in the ink chamber and the problem lessened. I've had occasional hard starting fairly recent into using this pen, but this can be down to paper choice (Pentalic journal), overlapping mediums (colored pencil; marker), and my hand position. I found rolling the nib both ways on the paper helped get the flow going and it worked smoothly after that. I've had more trouble writing with this than my pilot metropolitan, but much prefer this due to ... MoreLove the size, light weight, width, and grip section. I have a small hand and am pretty new to fountain pens (so far I have a Lamy Safari, a Platinum Curidas, and a TWSBI Eco). I love demonstrators and this model looked like it could be fun. But I don't love it. I do think the size is really nice, and the milky plastic is quite beautiful. The cap screws on and feels secure, and it's comfortable to hold (I imagine larger hands would struggle with the length). But for the price, it seems cheap. It's hard to keep the plastic from staining, and of course the converter holds so little, so it's always running out. But for me the big issue is how unpleasant the nib feels on normal paper. We know that fountain pen nibs prefer a smooth paper. But all of my other fountain pens perform well on cheap notepad paper, but my Kaweco Sport is scratchy and behaves like it's running out of ink even when there's plenty in the converter.Maybe a nice, inexpensive pen to collect and carry around, but not that much fun to use.
when i first received this pen i couldn't get over how small the pen is when closed. but when posted, it is a very comfortable pen to write with and the nib (medium) is pretty darn smooth for a steel nib. with the right paper, this pen literally skates! the ink capacity is pretty small which is expected for such a small pen. but the writing experience makes up for any shortcomings. and the coconut is translucent which allows you a view inside the cartridge converter (which is extra?) nice little writer!
My boyfriend bought me a kaweco in navy a while back and I loved it so much I bought one in banana (because I love yellow!) with a fine nib and brought it to my lab. I carry it around with me to talks and use it for note taking in a journal, sketching diagrams, and making notes on papers I'm reading. It seals well and writes very well both on my nice fountain pen paper but also on less nice printer paper, which is really great! One of my favorite things about this pen, though, is that it has a built-in incognito mode. If you, like me, have a professor/lab mates who will occasionally "borrow" a pen off your desk and then walk off with it, may I introduce to you my unparalleled secret technique: buy a pen that looks like a highlighter and then hide it in a bunch of ... MoreMy boyfriend bought me a kaweco in navy a while back and I loved it so much I bought one in banana (because I love yellow!) with a fine nib and brought it to my lab. No one will ever find it! You can leave lab safe in the knowledge that your beloved fountain pen will still be on your desk in the morning.
I loved these so much, I got more than one. I don't have very many pink pens in my collection, but I'm glad to have this one. These are really nice because they're so little and convenient to bring around. I use mine unposted, and it just fits so nicely in my hand. I put a very light coating of silicone grease on the threads to keep them from squeaking and gently scraped off the extra molding flash on the grip section. It really is such a nice little pen!
A Kaweco Sport will not leave you disappointed. Fantastic quality at a great price, easily fits in any pocket. The blueberry is a great addition to my edc.I mix it up bit by using an ink colour people don't expect, light blueberry pen with purple ink, freaks people out for some reason.Pen Heavens prices, service and quick delivery are all first rate
