Kaweco Collection Kaweco COLLECTION is a range of approximately 6 special colours per year. Each release is available to order for 12 months. It features colours that match current trends. With Kaweco COLLECTION, Kaweco can explore new colour combinations without the need to conform to the look of a particular series. The pens come in special packaging, have "Kaweco Collection" branding on them, and are mostly fountain pens. If a colour proves to be super-popular, Kaweco may decide to make it a mainstream colour the following year. Kaweco Collection Cyan The pure cyan color, in combination with the silver accents, gives this writing instrument an elegant character. On the one hand, the icy effect of Cyan perfectly harmonises with the frosty season. On the other hand, Cyan is reminiscent of the gorgeous coloring of the Caribbean sea and therefore inspires us to dream.

All my pockets are full of Kaweco Sport pens...

I have many Kaweco Sports, at this point. Of all the pens I have, these are just an easy favorite. They are compact, so I can carry more of them around, but they also post up to a very comfortable length for writing or doodling. All of the nibs have held up beautifully, even vs sheening inks that clog everything else. They come apart easily enough for quick cleaning, but don't seem loose or leaky after many disassemblies. They don't bleed on my fingers or into the caps NEARLY as much as my more expensive pens do when jostled all over creation in pockets and bags, in wet/hot weather. I love the broad range of available colors and nib sizes and all the different optional clips, which all fit great. They're pretty great.

The ruby red colour caught my eye, I like how the translucent colour makes it look like a jewel. The gold details of the pen and the nib makes it look even more luxurious.I have the IBB nib since most were sold out. It's not too thick for writing in my long form journal (A5/B5) although I consider to get a thinner nib for writing in pocket sized notebooks as well.

The Carmine special edition Kaweco is not only beautiful to look at but is a fantastic writer. I bought the IBB custom grind and the letters look lovely on the page. A big thank you to Meltem Hazarhun for making writing more enjoyable. I love it so much, I've purchased another pen with their custom grind - this time a Studyo Agackakan in IM.

I love this color
20 February 2023

I am very much a fan of Kaweco pens. They fit in my pocket or purse so easily. I'm still collecting fun new colors. This one is gorgeous. It is a keeper for sure! Goulet pens seem to read my mind! Their selection is great, service is awesome and I love their little packages with the lollipops. I've got a collection of them now to take to Florida next month when I see my daughter, SIL and two granddaughters. That's again Brian and Rachel!

One beautiful pen with one of the best nibs to write with!
19 April 2024

This lovely Carmine is beautiful to look at as I write. It’s a lovely red that is just the right shade to give off a gemstone vibe.I chose the Dentist nib to go with it and I could not be happier. I have a number of nib grinds in my collection and find this one of the juiciest (without being too juicy) and smoothest writers. It gives one’s penmanship a subtle but distinct flair that is so satisfying and enjoyable.I’ve put together an unboxing and review of the pen and the nibs I got with it.

So lovely - just couldn't resist!
29 April 2024

I just love Kaweco pens! I carry 2 Kaweco Sport in my pocket at all times, and I normally have 2 Kaweco Dia in my pouch as well. Galen Leather has put out a number of special edition Kaweco Sport pens, and I have managed to catch 2 of them so far - the Sapphire and the Carmine. In addition to the very special colors, Galen Leather also offers special nibs that aren't available anywhere else with these pens, and at a very reasonable price. Although I ihave more than 20 Kaweco Sport pens already, I just couldn't resist!

Two important words of advice!
19 November 2022

The pen thus far has shown itself to be a great value. I have every confidence that it will last long into the future. I purchased the Cyan version and a chrome clip. It looks fantastic. Now for the two important words of advice....1. I always use a cartridge converter in my fountain pens. The converter for this pen is a plunger style, where you fill the pen by dunking it in ink and drawing up the ink with the plunger. Not exactly my cup of tea, but not a deal breaker. I prefilled the converter, and installed the converter to the nib/feed section. The problem was when I went to screw on the nib/feed section onto the pen body. Kaweco had (very thoughtfully) included a cartridge in the body of the pen. Don't ever fill up a fountain pen while you're sitting on the edge of your bed.

[Dentist Nib] - accessible means of trying custom grinds, though a touch finicky!
3 May 2024

I have a lot of Kawecos at this point but this is a lovely little pen (and rounds out my set of reds quite nicely...!). I also knew that I needed to snag one of the custom grinds if I had a chance to, as I've been trying to expand my collection to include some more interesting nibs - Galen's wide range of grinds is a much less daunting way to do it!However, this is sadly not the first pen I'm reaching for when I want to sit and write for a bit. I'm finding that I am still "learning" this pen and what it plays well with - what the right combination of ink, paper, and writing angle is for this pen. At my natural angle it writes VERY broad (not too surprising as it was cut from a double-broad nib). It DOES thin a little at higher angles, but not by very much. At my natural angle it writes VERY broad (not too surprising as it was cut from a double-broad nib). It DOES thin a little at higher angles, but not by very much. The flow is also very wet and I'm not able to use it in most notebooks without bleedthrough oblitterating the other side of the page (or it would be my journal pen right now!). Tomoe River paper CAN stand up to it though, with a little bit of ghosting (to be expected!).Kaweco Sports are, relatively-speaking, an entry-level pen, and as a brand they are very grab-and-go (the number of Kawecos in EDCs attests to that!). The range of custom grinds offered by Galen allows different nib options to be tried at a more accessible price point compared to other brands. Just be aware that these may be less 'grab-and-go' and more 'wine-and-dine'!
