Vanilla has been THE fragrance I have always gravitated towards. I’ve tried nearly everything under the sun. From vanilla oils, mists, perfumes, body lotions butters- I’ve had my fair share of classic modern takes of vanilla scent profiles. Vanilla 28 is by far my favorite vanilla juice I’ve come across. This is NOT a basic, cloyingly sweet, juvenile scent. If it seems rather basic, I recommend to allow the juice to sit for awhile to develop a deeper scent. I’ve picked up heavily on brown sugar patchouli as the bottle sits longer as well. This adds this beautiful elevated element that many vanilla scents lack. Personally, I appreciate how it isn’t linear. With Kayali adding an Arabian touch to their fragrances, I can see how some people may either love or hate this fragrance. Nonetheless, it will always be a staple in my collection. For those who may not be fond of the scent alone, luckily Kayali formulated their juices so It layers beautifully with other scents. I layer this fragrance with almost all my other perfumes.

A nice staple vanilla!

This fragrance is the main reason why I wanted to try Kayali. I'm a gourmand perfume lover above all else and Vanilla 28 was on my radar from the beginning. I have a 50ml bottle of this juice, so I can already tell you I'm absolutely in love with this fragrance. It's one of the most beautiful vanilla fragrance I have smelled up until now. The opening is sweet, but mature, sensual and a bit dark. It gives me luxurious and opulent vibes through and through. On my skin, the tonka beans and the brown sugar mix together to form this incredible warm and sweet blanket. The darker the juice, the more potent it becomes it also seems like. I have a dark mauve juice and I absolutely love it.

Average amber scent

I had a hard time getting my hands on a sample of this product so I ended up blind buying the travel spray size. I am a huge vanilla fan and kept reading that this smelled like vanilla extract.While I don't want to bash the product, because I am sure it smells exactly how it is supposed to smell, on me personally this gives zero vanilla vibes. And to be fair, vanilla is not listed in the scents list. Vanilla orchid is.On me I get mainly amber and a bit of flowery something. No vanilla, no brown sugar.I have had it on for five hours now and I can still smell it fairly strongly so I would say the staying power is half decent. FULL SIZE SMELLS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN SAMPLE

I got this in a free sample with another order I placed. The sample smelled AMAZING, and I've never gotten so many complements on perfume when I had the sample on. I decided to buy the $85 full size, and was so excited to wear it. When I got it, I sprayed it all over myself right before going out for the night and I was immediately taken aback. It smelled COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the sample, and the smell was not good. This was super upsetting since I had to then deal with the bad smell all night. I then went right to the reviews on this product because I was thinking that maybe the one I received was a fluke. The reviews literally read my mind. Also, I personally don't care about this but others might, the color of the perfume is a dark brown, not the beige it's​ pictured as.

Pure Vanilla perfection! This truly is an incredible gourmand vanilla fragrance! The vanilla orchid and brown sugar give it this perfect fresh and creamy sweetness, while amber woods gives it a lovely golden warmth and softly woodsy scent! It’s beautifully sweet, sensual, warm, comforting, and even sexy! Definitely perfect for all year… a fragrance you can pull out for any occasion! The longevity and projection are fantastic, I can smell this lovely sweet and softly woodsy vanilla all day! Very possibly my favorite gourmand vanilla fragrance! I’d say that it’s also a safe blind buy, especially considering that’s exactly what I did after hearing lots of exciting talk and recommendations of it! This was a blind buy recommended to vanilla lovers (which I am) by many perfume influencers. It was marketed as a gourmand warm sweet vanilla scent which is right up my alley. I was surprised by the opening which made me sneeze (it still does) and had a spicy and even boozy scent. So at first I didn’t like it because it didn’t seem vanilla forward like it had been marketed. However, once some time passed and it dried down a little, it turned into a beautiful vanilla.The fragrance lacks complexity which may be a negative to some but for me it’s what I was looking for. If you have a little extra cash and feel like getting something cute, it’s a nice addition but I wouldn’t say to go out your way to get it. I wouldn’t even say it’s a must-have for vanilla lovers like others have said.

Smells So Good!

I was really hesitant to buy from reading reviews, but I’m happy that I decided to purchase! When you first put it on, it is very floral and musky and has a little of that pharmaceutical smell. After it sits for a little bit though, it smells like a very sweet, rich, and woody vanilla. Mine did come purple so be very careful when spraying, as it will stain if sprayed haphazardly, but I apply only to pressure points and haven’t had any issues! The wear is also very strange I have noticed. The wrist I spray the perfume directly on stays longer than on my other wrist after rubbing them together. I’ve tried layering with a vanilla lotion (makes the smell even more phenomenal btw) but the smell still doesn’t stick to the other side. I looked into buying this for a long time but it was always sold out. I finally got my hands on a bottle, it definitely wasn’t love at first sniff. It’s not an issue but I thought it was a little odd. As for colour, mine was a purple colour like others have described but I done a little research and apparently it’s normal for true vanilla fragrances to change colour. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the initial opening scent, hopefully it changes the more I use it.
