Kazoo Comfy Recovery Collar Small

Lifesaver! Funnily enough, I literally just had to remove and wash it due to a salmon incident… my girl was one very unhappy pup when I put her plastic cone back on. So much so she wouldn’t even accept treats. 5 mins after swapping back to her Kazoo, she forgave me enough to take treats and came for a cuddle. My little Houdini who even knows how to work zippers hasn’t escaped her Kazoo 4 days in, and of course it’s doing the intended job so I’m a happy puppy parent.

Awesome product

This cone is life changing for those of us who have pets that use their cones as battering rams. It does appear shorter than the hard cones, so depending on what injury your pet has it may not be suitable but for me it was great. My dog had multiple lumps removed so initially I bought it to that she wouldn’t lick the stitches on her hind quarters. They healed beautifully...unlike some wounds on her chest. I was then able to turn the cone around so that it covered up the chest so that she couldn’t scratch them. Better still, I will be able to re-use this cone in the future....usually I throw them away as they are so dirty and battered.

Comfy Recover Collar

What a relief for the whole family to have this collar. Our German Shepherd could sleep more comfortably at night and we did too as she wasn't crashing around in a plastic cone waking up the whole household! She still wears a plastic cone if we are out as she would manage to remove the soft cone. Definitely needed XXL to ensure the cone extended beyond the snout. Thank you!

Comfy and light, but a little short

This was a great starting point for a cone after my 6-month-old mini spoodle puppy was spayed. She coped reasonably well with this cone for the first few days and struggled with the longer, heavier clear plastic cone, especially when sleeping.However when she got more active, this was too short for her face and she could easily lick her stitches, which meant we had to move her up to the plastic cone.I would say for any dogs with a medium to long snout, this would be too short - even though it fits perfectly at the neck.

Excellent recovery collar

I bought the recovery collar in preparation for my puppy’s operation. I couldn’t bare the thought of her having a hard plastic cone for 14 days and when looking for alternatives, I found the Kazoo recovery collar. It is absolutely fantastic! My puppy could do everything with it on and didn’t even try to take it off. It’s been so comfortable for her. This is such a brilliant product and excellent quality. If you want comfort for your dog after a surgery, which is already hard enough for them, then I highly recommend you purchase this collar! It makes their recovery that much easier. Just for reference, my dog is a Moodle, 3kg and the medium size is the best fit.

Great Product, needs refining

My 10 month old pup Lola was desexed and provided with a plastic Elisabethan collar from the vet, that lasted 5 days until she worked out how to destroy it. I then I purchased a comfy collar, I could tell Lola appreciated the softness as it did not irritate her neck and she could mould into it when she slept. Unfortunately the eyelet in the collar (which the manufacturer uses to attach the labelling) provided Lola with a "catch" point for her teeth and proceeded to rip it apart. She did this by using her paws on the outside to push the soft material into her teeth enabling her to grip the eyelit and rip it off exposing frayed material which she could continue to unravel (destroy). I paid $47.65 for an XL in a pet store and the comfy collar lasted 22 hours.

Measurement is key

I have a 17 pound/7.6 kg cavalier King Charles spaniel and based on usual clothing/collar sizes I was looking at a small or medium. It wasn’t until measuring the length from his neck to the snout that I realised that he definitely needed a large. The medium was way too short and would have defeated the purpose of the item.I would highly recommend measuring your dogs neck to snout length and factoring that in.The product is great otherwise, is soft and malleable enough for sleep and movement. I also switched from using a Kong Cloud collar which didn’t prevent him from getting to his stitches, this does.

My top recommendation

My medium sized Schnoodle has had a number of injuries and skin complaints requiring a cone. His long legs and skinny neck mean donut shaped cones do not work and the plastic cones cause him distress when he gets caught passing by furniture. I regularly recommend this soft cone to others and am so glad we found it!

Perfect for our furry boy to have a comfortable recovery

The Comfy Recovery Collar lives up to it's name. XXL was the perfect size for our beautiful boy, a 5 yr old yellow lab. We were able to easily slide it on over his head, with no stress to him. He was able to sleep comfortably, find his way around the house and into his crate no problem wearing it....perfect for a speedy recovery. By simply using a wet cloth we were able to keep it clean. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Very Comfy Indeed

Great e-collar. Better than the Kong Air Collar as my cat can easily reach around that. Certainly better than the plastic ones which are horrible. I would recommend this product, just do make sure you follow the sizing guide to make sure you get the right size to make sure it extends out enough, don't just go on which one fits around the animals neck as smaller sizes may also fit but not be correct.Size: XSButton is a very tiny cat, she probably should have been a size up but it served its purpose.
