People raved about these pants so I decided to go against my natural instincts and spend the money because I've been looking for years for good bush pants. Big mistake. The stretchy fabric is easily caught with thorns and got major threads pulled on the 3rd day I wore them! Pathetic. I took them back and it's considered wear and tear and was told I should have bought Vidda pants that have tougher fabric (no stretch), these are only meant for hiking. Wish I'd known, so take my advice and don't buy them if you actually WORK in the bush!

I got regular fit mid waist. I am 5’7 165lbs. My regular size is 32” by 32” length. I sized up to 35-36”(46) and they fit perfectly on my waist and in length. I have long legs so if your legs are short, note that this size is 33” length.I love the gaiter grip hook for keeping out debris. The extra length is excellent used attached to laces(you can snap them in if you prefer more tapered). The pants are rugged, well protected in all the right places and have large pockets that both zip and snap shut. Two zippers on the top and bottom sides open up for circulation if it’s warm out. They are a bit heavy for mid summer canoeing and hiking but perfect for doing, late summer, and fall hiking, canoeing, camping, approach etc…..You might need to get two sizes to find the ... MoreI got regular fit mid waist. Overall fantastic pants. It’s not easy to find women’s pants with this rugged style so these get 5 stars from me. It the first pair with reinforced material I didn’t have to get in the men’s section.

If you’re looking for bombproof pair of backcountry pants these are it. Already Have a pair of the curved 42 in black and they can be a bit tight around the tummy area if you’ve got a post-menopausal figure. This straight regular cut has more room in the stomach for when sitting without having to go up a size in the curved. Got the brown this time and they are amazing. They just graze the top of my boot opening so I can’t use the lace lock clip - I’m 6’ tall. But when backcountry canoeing you can’t get a better pair of pants.

I have a pair of the Abisko pants (without the G-1000) and they are nice and lightweight for easy summer hikes - with a lot of stretch while still maintaining their shape. The Keb trouser fits just like the Abisko (lots of stretch) but with G-1000 and all the additional features. Perfect combination. These will be great for fall hiking and into the early winter with a wool base layer. Highly recommend, and they are definitely worth the price. For reference, I’m 5’7 and 130 and size 40 works great - with enough stretch to allow for a base layer.
My only complaint with fjallraven pants in general is the waist. The waist usually seems tighter than the rest of the pant but I deal with it. Other than that I love the look and functionality of these pants. The pockets are great and the material is comfortable and stretchy. I love the different colored material on the butt part. I bought a couple in theearthy colors not the bright colors.
Probably shouldn't dock a star towards Fjallraven as these trousers are great, but Altitude Sport's website photo is very misleading for the Timber Brown - Chestnut color. Any color difference is usually blamed on a monitor's settings, however I looked the same pair of pants up on Fjallraven's website (same monitor) and the color was portrayed accurately. Just a caution that its far warmer and saturated than appears here. Sadly the color was so surprising that I just couldn't love it and returned it. Sizing was accurate.
This is a great pant, I can't rave about it enough. The price is expensive, but you are getting a quality item that will last you a long time, especially with proper care. I'm 5'3 about 115lb, and the 34 fit me perfectly. Love the curved design too because I have rather wide hips compared to my frame and I get no weird gap in the waist with these pants. This style is also stretchy so you get a lot of mobility in them, unlike the viddas. The chestnut colour is gorgeous and I always get compliments on them.
These pants are SO fun to wear...think combat nature gal! They are so sturdy and I feel like they'd stand up to any scratches or scrambles and they are stretchy so they move well. I have always like Fjallraven - but found their pants too straight cut for me - bring in the curved fit - these are SO much better for my build. I'd say they are good for cooler days - but if you like having the vents open they could transition to warmer ones. The size chart was right for me!
I live in Michigan and like to be adventurous in all 4 seasons - I needed a pair of hiking pants that worked in cold weather, as well be worn for warmer temperatures as well, since it's been known to be 90degrees one day and 50 the next; and when you're out hiking, carrying minimal gear and clothing is essential. The sturdiness of the fabric, combined with the zippers that open to provide ventilation, fit that need for both types of temperatures. Bonus, it also has multiple useable pockets for carrying gear, phones, etc. which is hard to come by on women's pants. My only "complaint" is that I'm only 4'11, so they are a bit long, and can't really be hemmed due to the way the bottom is constructed with the adjustable snaps to open or loosen the pant opening so you ... MoreI live in Michigan and like to be adventurous in all 4 seasons - I needed a pair of hiking pants that worked in cold weather, as well be worn for warmer temperatures as well, since it's been known to be 90degrees one day and 50 the next; and when you're out hiking, carrying minimal gear and clothing is essential. But I cinch the bottoms as much as I can and let the pant legs bunch up a bit and remember I'm not trying to win any fashion contests out in the woods! :-)
