I love the rose sandals from Keen. I ordered a grey pair several years ago and they are still going strong. I ordered the black pair to have some variety and it's literally the only sandal I wear all Summer long. I love that they are machine washable so they don't get the horrid foot scent so many un-washable sandals seem to get. They are cute with shorts or pants and comfortable enough to wear all day long. I've worn them hiking, moving or just running errands. Truly the best. Worth every penny.

These shoes are so cute! So far I’ve worn them to the MLB ball park, shopping and to work, and they’ve been very comfortable. But because they are not adjustable, I needed to go up a half size to even get them on. My regular size was too tight around the forefoot. The ankle strap appears to be adjustable, but there is a neoprene band under the Velcro strap that is 100% not adjustable, and it cuts into my ankle. So far I haven’t had issues, and I’m hoping it stretches out with use. My feet make a squelching noise when I walk because they stick to the footbed, which is annoying but not a deal-breaker. I’m not sending them back.

I have four pairs of Keens that I have loved, but the Rose sandals fit completely differently. I can’t understand the reviews that say they fit true to size. The ankle strap is very tight and isn’t adjustable even though the velcro strap on top of the fixed strap would make you think it could be lengthened. The toe area is also lower and touches the top of my big toe, and the entire shoe seems like it’s designed for a narrow, not average width, but the ridiculous design of the ankle strap is the main deal-breaker with these sandals. I’m returning them, and will just keep an eye out to see whether Keen redesigns them, in which case I’ll try them on in a store (not risk ordering them again) and see if they’ve made the needed corrections.

I tried this model on recently but opted not to buy it. I've owned and loved many pairs of Keen sandals, but these are not made to the same quality standard, and the fit is very different than the Keen sandals I've owned in the past, which tended to fit a little on the wide side. I don't have wide feet, so I was surprised I couldn't even get my foot into a pair in my normal size (women's 9.5). And while the soles seem high quality and solid, the material used on the upper appears thin and flimsy. The women's sandals currently available in this model just aren't the same in terms of quality or fit. It's disappointing to see Keen following a trend I've noticed in the past few years in terms of companies offering lower quality products for women. I have owned a pair of these in leather in the tan color for going on three seasons now. I own about 25 different pairs of keens and I have been a big fan in the past based on heavy duty materials high-quality construction comfort and fit. I recently ordered a new pair of these in black and found that they were made out of flimsy fabric that was pulled tighter across the top of the foot did not have as many straps and fit much tighter and narrower. My original shoe is a size 7 1/2 even though I normally wear a size 8 shoe because keens are cut so generously. In the current shoe however the 7.5 didnt fit, the fabric is flimsy and the cut and style ARE NOT the same quality. The vegan argument is tacky for what is blatantly cost cost cutting. Outsourcing factories and using cheap imported petroleum based synthetic fabrics cut narrower with less cloth but at a higher price is an attack on your loyal customers. Returning. I miss classic Oregon style keens. This was the worlds best shoe company. What happened???
This is my 3rd pair of these shoes, in the past this model has lasted me 2+ years. And I wear them daily and everywhere. This model goes well with casual dresses or shorts. I love my Keens! That said, while I love the color of these shoes the shoe itself is considerably and noticeably lighter, less dense and after three wears already showing signs of wear and tear. I have worn them to a playground, on a bike ride, and the pool. Nothing terribly vigorous as I break them in, but I’m afraid these might be a one season wonder. I would let others know this before buying. Still my go to until I find something comparable to switch to unless they improve the shoe to how it was in seasons past.
I own three pair of these Rose Sandals. They're very comfortable and the different colors match whatever I choose to wear. My navy pair have a matching toe guard and are dressy enough that I wore them to a summer wedding. My only problem is that they make my feet stink (am I the only one?) but I pull them into the shower with me to freshen them up -- it works perfectly! I think Keen should host a Rose Sandal Tan Pattern contest. Because I wear mine all summer, the top of my foot retains the distinctive tan all winter. It serves as a reminder that I have more adventures to come.
Loved the look of the shoe so much ordered in 2 sizes, the Shiitake and Black. Super cute in person as well. Unfortunately the sizing between the 2 varied a great deal. Feeling a bit like Goldilocks as one was too big, one too small. Maybe I need to order a 3rd and would get a 'just right'. :-). SUPER cute and comfy if sized approrpriately. The toe box on shiitake was wider and allowed too much movement of foot. I almost kept the black but realized toe was slightly touching so was a bit shorter than the order shoe as well. I could see keeping this style for a long time. About to take both for return sadly. As to would I recommend, absolutely if you get a pair that fits your foot.
I do love these sandals. They are incredibly comfy and actually look pretty, which is not easy for a sturdy sandal to do. especially with my size 8s.. the green colour is gorgeous, and they are very unique. I love the toe bumper. I've scuffed my big toe several times in other open toed sandals and that won't happen with these. I wanted something I could walk far in, that would help support my arches and my big toe that has succumbed to osteoarthritis. so far so good. However, I nearly returned them as on one sandal, there had been a glue overspill where one of the straps met the sole, and the glue had left a sharp point, which rubbed my foot. However I managed to smooth this down. Cosmetically you could see the glue, but where it was positioned meant that is wasn't ... MoreI do love these sandals. Cosmetically you could see the glue, but where it was positioned meant that is wasn't really noticeable to anyone else, and once the issue of the sharp bit had been sorted I was very happy to keep them. I've been wearing them everyday and I'm very pleased with the fit, style and comfort.
I own 4 pair of these, love them and these were a gift but are going back to Duluth. Two reasons:1. They are not as shown on the website picture- or as pretty.I bought gray and every part of the shoe a dark solid industrial gray.2. There is a strong sicky chemical smell- reminds me of fake coconut. You can smell it before you open the box.I kept the shoes out of the box for a few weeks to air them and the smell did not go away or lessen. You can still smell it from a few feet away.Never had this before in any pair of shoes.I'd normally give these 5 stars but the odor is a deal breaker- it's gross.I'm surprised no one at Duluth noticed this when they shipped them out.Are you supposed to wash them before you wear them?Is this the new normal for Keen Rose ... MoreI own 4 pair of these, love them and these were a gift but are going back to Duluth. Two reasons:1.
