I've been wearing Keen shoes for years now. Every pair has fit well and lasted a long time. This new pair looks like it's made from the same mold. I especially appreciate the wide toe box in Keen shoes. Although Bean said they run small and to order a half size up, I ordered my usual size, and they fit perfectly. Maybe my usual size is already a half size up? In any case, don't think you can go wrong with Keens. My one recommendation: buy a good pair of insoles to replace the ones that come with the shoe. They're just not all that solid or supportive.

These are probably my 8-9th pair. I buy in low tops and mid tops with exact size and fit every time. Size 14, 6’1” at 205#. I love the fit, always the same feel, like I never changed shoes. I can’t find any other brand that fits as well, but I keep looking each change. Hoping Keen will get the sole attachment fixed since I have seen other similar review complaints. The negative I have about the last 4 pairs has been rubber sole to leather separation. I get about 6-7 months at best out of these shoes but their my everyday all day long shoe. And the last 4 pairs maybe more have separated in the same location. Early versions did not separate and I usually wore the treads out.I would recommend, but beware of the sole separation.Have worn these shoes living in the ... MoreThese are probably my 8-9th pair. I've had this same shoe three or four times. Always a really good fit for my foot. The souls are durable. They feel very stable. Nice wide toe box.Recurring problem: The little loop on the top lacing. It eventually fails as you tie your shoes over and over, the fabric wears away and finally breaks. This last pair the waterproofing failed, after a little more than a year (just past the point of being able to exchange). So I purchased a new pair of Oboz to see if they do better. On the Keen the black rubber at tip was separating from the right shoe. It is attached only with glue. On the Oboz there is also double stitching around that portion so I don't think it will separate. We'll see.

I’ve been wearing Keen tarhgee mid and low hikers for several years as I find they fit my wide feet quite nicely and work well for walking/light hiking / yard work. In the past, for waterproof shoes, I’ve chosen at targhee 3. This is the first time I’ve tried to targhee 2. In comparing the two shoes the wide toebox and overall fit seems to be about the same. The “3s” appear to be a bit more waterproof by design with a less aggressive tread. While I have not fully tested them, I recently walked in the “2s” in a reasonable rain shower and did not have any problems but I do typically apply nikwax waterproofing to all my boots. The “2s” seem to breathe a bit better than the “3s”. I’ll probably go with the “2s” in the future. Happy hiking!!
These fit me so well. I have messed up feet due to flatness and yoe surgery. I have had many pairs of these because I have not been able to find another shoe that fits my particular foot well enough. I’ve tried several other brands. The reason I keep trying other brands, is that these shoes are no longer made as well as they used to be. Lost waterproofing after a year, and the little loop at the top of the laces wears out and breaks after a while. And I won’t recommend them if you can find another shoe. That is a better quality that fits you as well. I can’t so far. So I have ordered another pair.
The Keen brand is where it's at when you need a durable good looking and high-quality shoe or boot. I recently purchased the Targhee III Waterproof Leather Hiking Shoe - Men's. The problem with this shoe is the material on both sides of the shoe above the sole. This material has already begun to crack and show early signs of wear. I purchased my Keen's back in early December of 2022, and have yet to wear them for any outdoor activity, only to work, which is indoors and in a controlled environment. Despite this minute flaw, I will continue to purchase Keen's, as they are in my opinion, the cream of the crop for style and durable outdoor wear.
I've been wearing Keen Targhee Waterproof Hiking Shoes for years. I've loved them, from the original Targhee, to several pair of Targhee II, and at least one pair of Targhee III. To be honest, I am probably hard on my hiking shoes. I spend several hours every day in the woods, hiking with my Brittany Scout, cutting firewood, working in my lawn, and hunting. I appreciate the sturdiness of these Keens. I wear a custom orthotic and rely on the strength of the foot bed. And, I am very lucky to have hiked the Targhee National Forest, and hike the Grand Targhee mountain in these shoes. FWIW, I've tried several other brands, and not found any that lived up to the comfort, durability, and support of the Keen Targhee line.
I bought a high quality, environmentally friendly men's targhee 3 and was very happy with them for 3 months. I found there were 2 main weaknesses in this expensive shoe. The first was the excellent rubber toe wrap started delaminating in the side which let water in and made the innersoles less comfortable to almost flat ie loosing the shock absorber action they had when they were new. The second weakness was part of the sole delaminated and small pebbles etc get stuck under it. The features of the shoe I enjoy are the wide fit for Australian's with classic thong spread feet. While they were waterproof they were great.
I don't write many reviews, but when I do, it's deserved. I'm a spot on size 11 and these fit great out of the box. I literally tried 6 other pairs of similar shoes before deciding these made the cut. Had them for a couple of months now and they have proven waterproof and all day comfort, especially with some nice smart wool socks. Steel grey /captains blue looks great with jeans or chinos.Initial quality seems to be on par with the Keen's of old. Mine were made in Thailand.Well done folks. Thanks for the great kicks.
I have a long relationship with Keen. I have used them professionally as a nurse and swear by the laced version of the service shoe. Of the many products I have worn, these have far exceeded my expectations. I need a wider toe box and arch support in the shoes I wear for extended periods of time and what I initially thought was a snug fit has been the perfect fit for my feet. I've worn these now for a month and would wear them every day for nearly every activity. We had a surprise snow storm last week which tested the waterproof ability of the shoe. It passed with flying colors. The comfort and support equals almost anything else I've worn indoors or out of doors. While they are overkill, these may end up being my new style of work shoes as well. As winter ... MoreI have a long relationship with Keen.
