KEF Ci160QL In-Wall Speaker | Uni-Q Driver Array
KEF Ci160QL in-ceiling/in-wall speaker When designing and engineering their range of in ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers, KEF retained the philosophy of 'hiding your speakers, not your sound' in order to offer the home audio enthusiast the best possible sound achievable within a discrete and almost invisible aesthetic. The Ci series is able to deliver a phenomenally accurate response, complete with the three-dimension stereo sound imaging you'd expect from high-quality conventional loudspeakers. The Ci160QL features KEF's renowned 'sit-anywhere' Uni-Q driver array, a sophisticated system that sees the tweeter aspect of the unit placed within the acoustic centre of the high-quality bass/midrange driver cone. This means that the tweeter and woofer work together to act as a single point source, thus dispersing the sound evenly across a wide stereo field throughout the room. This intricate tweeter/woofer design is used in conjunction with KEF's discreet Ultra Thin Bezel (UTB) design, allowing for a non-obtrusive profile with a phenomenally slim visible rim around the speaker. All of KEF's Ci loudspeakers have been designed to offer a quick and easy-to-install experience so that once the cable is run and the cavity is cut into your wall or ceiling, you can be listening to your favourite music in less than a few minutes. Sold singly. Who is KEF? KEF is a highly renowned, multi-award winning loudspeaker manufacturer whose high-quality products can be found all over the world. KEF began in Maidstone Kent in 1961 by an electrical engineer, Raymond Cooke. KEF is named after Kent Engineering & Foundry, which occupied the KEF site previously. Raymond Cooke was created OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 1979. KEF has produced products for the BBC, and have a vast range of products at many different price points.
