I received both shampoo and conditioner as part of a sampling. Since I use them both together and at the same time I felt best to review both of them together. The first thing I noticed with the shampoo is that it had very strong perfume scent. Usually my shampoos have more of a floral or fruit or tropical scent but this one reminded me of perfume right away which I did not care for. I have never been disappointed by a Kerastase product and the streak continues. I have really damaged hair from hard water and my curls have just been blah lately. I've tried many of the top curl enhancing products out there and just been disappointed with the results. After one wash with Kerastase Curl Manifesto my hair felt softer, lighter and my curls just seemed happier if that makes sense. They feel so much better once my hair dried. This is definitely a product I'll be using going forward. I highly reccomend it for all types of curly hair (I'm type 2b for reference).*I received a free sample of this product to test out from a free sample program. The opinion is my own.

I went from a dry location to a tropical and say a great decrease in frizz due to humidity. I've got very dark curly/wavy hair (tight coils underneath, waves on the top) and wanted a shampoo + conditioner to make my hair easier to manage as I hate spending time on haircare. I've never treated myself to luxury haircare before and I AM SO GLAD I did. I've only used them twice but I already know these products will be in my bathroom forever. My hair feels so clean, smooth, the curls are more defined, my hair is less frizzy and is sitting better, it feels smooth on day 3 after washing instead of the usual tangled mess. If you're debating it, just get it. It is worth every penny! Plus you don't need much to do the job. My hair is super thick and when straight reaches past my waist and I only needed a small amount.

So I love this shampoo. It is thick, creamy, and moisturizing. It cleansed my hair without drying it out or stripping my scalp. It also smells very clean and fresh. My only concern is that I seemed to need to use more of this shampoo than my previous brand to get the lather I wanted. But I was not using a brand for curly hair, so maybe the moisturizing benefit requires a little more product. That said, I will continue to use this shampoo and the matching hair mask because they have improved the health and shine of my hair.Just for reference, my hair is more wavy and chin length. I have no idea what type of hair I have but it’s basically wavy and frizzy not coiled curly but curly wavy if that makes any sense? I have not used this shampoo without using the conditioner that goes along with it so I can’t speak to how this works without it but I feel like a hair care works best when they are paired with their are complementing product and for my hair the shampoo along side the conditioner works really well.
