Kerastase Resistance Extentioniste Serum 50 ml

I bought this due to the fabulous review done on the whole Extentioniste program by Beauty Crew themselves. I had recently gotten a pretty drastic chop as well as beginning my path onto colouring my hair again and wanted to finally start investing in good hair products. \nI bought this as I felt my hair was a bit too short and in a moment of panic wanted something to help growth. \nI would say this delivered. My hair does grow pretty quick but this has helped seem to give it that extra push by keeping my scalp and roots as healthy as possible. \nit has a very light and fresh scent (the only real way I can describe it) and is a very watery liquid. I have noticed my hair fall our is much less and really now only occurs in the shower (wet hair is weaker anyway) and I attribute it to this as well as my other Kerastase products. \n

DEFINITE EFFECT FOR LENGTH

Pictures will show you before and after continuous use of this product for 6 months— WITH a 1 inch trim in between the two pictures. This serum has changed my hair routine so much. Wow. It has made my color treated hair thicker and longer EVEN with routine toner and even a balayage/bleach sessions. My hair has grown longer and thicker with much less damage than what I used to deal with.... even though I use my Dyson hair dryer and styler every other wash and didn’t use that much heat in the past years.Onto freshly washed towel dried hair, I apply this serum in multiple drops across my part and in a few spots across my head, especially in the back/bottom of my head/hair. This prevents less flakiness in the short run, and longer periods of times in between trims for the long run. I will always re purchase this.

Great for Soothing Scalp!

Of all the Kerastase serums (even the latest bestsellers), I like this one the best, and it’s the only serum I’ve reordered (multiple times). My hair is long & fine, and I wash it two-three times per week. It’s already healthy (I rarely use any heat tools, always air dry & get regular trims), so I didn’t see much difference with respect to enhancing hair strength & shine. That said, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that my scalp occasionally becomes more itchy and gets red/irritated along my front hairline. This serum absolutely soothes & calms my scalp. Within a few days of initial & continued regular use, the itchiness & redness goes away and stays away for awhile. However, if you follow the application directions and use only the instructed amount, the heaviness & oiliness can be avoided.

Great for fine or oily hair

I don't usually use conditioner around my roots because I have straight fine hair (but a lot of it) that gets oily and weighed down quickly. While I haven't necessarily seen the intended results of this, namely stronger hair that grows longer, that wasn't really my issue. I love using one pipette of this on my scalp after a shower as I find it does a great job of ensuring that the hair around my roots is smooth, soft, and detangled without getting greasy. I also love the smell of this, very lightweight and fresh without being overly floral or woodsy. Just about to buy my second bottle.

My hair lives again

... I had suddenly, unruly hair, no volume during the day, tomorrow and evening a tangled mess on the head. I emphasize... that I had very thick and easy to maintain hair. Suddenly, increased hair loss and hard to bend hair were my daily "bad hair day". After a week with Kerastase, my hair is calming down and has more volume again. Looking forward to seeing more results.

Not thrilled with this product

I have been having severe issues with my heavily highlighted long hair after additional chlorine was added to our city water. I now have breakage and hair loss at the root. Very scary! Therefore, I purchased the Resistance line of pre shampoo and shampoo (which I love, love, love!) along with the Extensioniste conditioner (it is just okwith not enough slip) and kerastase - Serum Extentioniste Scalp & Hair Serum. Yes, I desperately need my hair back to iIts softness and shine before the city water chlorine hair disaster !! I also purchased the new Initialiste Concentrate. Do yourself a favor and order the Initialiste scalp serum instead; A far better product for bleach damaged hair that sheds. If you have healthy hair that sheds, this product should work for you.

Saved my hair from being cut off

Kerastase is expensive and it's also a great value, if you want to get your hair healthy, it's basically the ICU for hair. I have used one full bottle of serum (about 2 months) and repurchased because I am seeing new hairs about 2 inches long under thinning long hair! My hair is looking fuller and no longer breaking off at ends - getting a hair trim via split ends has ended, finally. I have tried so many HG claimed products and believed my hair was just dry AF & brittle. This has a great scent and is applied at scalp level and gently massaged in, it's not greasy but if you use too much it can weigh hair down.

Seeing Results in Length and Health

I have used this product since Sep 2020 (2 vials so far), and am about to purchase my third in Jan 2020. I have thick, naturally curly hair which is cut in layers/highlighted every 8 weeks, and I typically blow dry straight with a round brush. I have seen improvement in overall health and shine, and recently, have seen exceptional increase in growth. I wash my hair with the extentioniste shampoo, towel dry, apply the extentioniste masque, and most recently steam my hair while using my facial steamer (10-15 min), massaging the hair and scalp. I then rinse, towel dry, apply the extentioniste serum, massage in, and then apply the extentioniste thermique (I may or may not blow dry at this point). Serum extentioniste scalp and hair serum

Bought this serum a few weeks ago. Can’t say that I noticed ch difference in my hair. My hair hasn’t gotten stronger, it keeps falling out. It’s quite a small bottle for such a price and didn’t work for me, so I probably won’t buy again. It does smell marvelous though!

Wouldn't purchase again

The application isn't easy, you really have to section your hair to apply from the dropper. I find the smell to be pleasant and it dissipates quickly too (i personally like that as I wasnt looking to scent my hair with this product). The formula itself is easy to work in as it's a nice viscosity. I don't feel like this has done anything to help strengthen my hair at the roots though which was why I purchased it. I've been experiencing a lot more hair fall in the last year and I though a serum right at the roots would help. For the price and the lack of results I won't re purchase.
