I have only had the kettle for a week, so far so good. It boils quickly, is very quiet compared to other kettles we have owned in the past. The mute function is an added bonus, particularly if the rest of the household is still asleep, no more annoying early morning noise! I like the stainless steel finish and surprisingly doesn't need to be constantly polished.The only thing that is a bit annoying is that if I need to boil two jugs consecutively when I pop open the lid a dribble of hot water runs down from the hinge of the lid. Overall, I'm very happy with this kettle, although the price is quite steep. It is a very attractive design and looks lovely on my kitchen bench.

Great looking kettle, works relatively quietly and well. Down side, you have to press the power button twice to boil. Once to switch kettle on, again to get boiling. The interim is to make selections I assume although other kettles you can do this before switching on. Not sure the water well under the handle is best placed. And definitely too pricey. Cute little musical tones and did I say it looks great!

I’m really happy I bought this kettle from appliances online, it makes a big difference to the taste of my herbal teas now they can be steeped at lower temperatures, and I like the fact that the sound effects can be turned off easily and back on, dependent on if the rest of my young household is up or not. Easily toggle between ideal coffee, black tea and herbal tea temperatures. The kettle also has the keep warm function which is ideal for when my wider family comes around for smokos and I'm doing other things around the house. It's a much quieter boil than my previous Breville kettle.

We bought a SMEG kettle in 2017 as we liked the retro style and colour. however after having the kettle for 6 months the outside colour had discoloured badly and after a year or so the outside coating bubbled as per picture. Jug worked fine but looked terrible. Recently replaced it but did not consider another SMEG as we were so disappointed with the fading and bubbling of the coating which was the reason we bought it in the first place.
Got the first one but it started leaking terribly in the 2nd week of using. Water from the kettle just burst to the base.With AO brilliant customer service, returned and replaced with the same model.(I know that's silly, but retro kettle is really cute!)Now been using for 2 weeks, still no leaks but not sure about the future.Mention about AO customer service team, they are great and super quick!For who are considering of buying Smeg, the design is superb, but just be careful about the random quality. I've found lots of negative reviews, Good luck!

Handy variable temperatures to choose from. Makes a nice chime when you turn it on and when it's done. Good quality, looks cool. Slightly heavier than some kettles but it is nice and solid

Great product, perfect gift for my tea loving wife, who also loves Pastel Blue...Apparently different Tea leaves need different temperatures (omg srslt right?), and kettles need to do this now, low and behold this kettle does!
