Keychron's K2 is the first general purpose wireless mechanical keyboard designed and funded by the Kickstarter community. This model features a compact and unique 75% layout that is ideal for users who want a clean and wireless set up. The K2 comes with Gateron switches, which are considered the smoothest switches on the market right now. Whether for PC, Mac OS, Linux or even Android devices; the Keychron keyboards are compatible and meet all requirements. The desired operating system is set via a switch on the keyboard frame. With every Keychron keyboard, the additional keycaps for Mac and Windows, as well as a keycap puller, are included. For workflow and multitasking, you can connect up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously and switch from laptop to tablet or mobile. This Keychron keyboard has a fully hot-swappable PCB, which means that the switches are not soldered in place. So you can easily upgrade, swap and mix the switches (without soldering), just plug and unplug them as you like. The keyboard is equipped with excellent RGB LED backlighting for an optimal and customized typing experience. With 15 different lighting modes, flashing, breathing or static, you can create the atmosphere you want. This model features a sleek and stylish aluminum frame for increased durability and rigidity. The large 4000 mAh battery lasts up to nine days (8 hours per day up to 72 hours) with the backlight on, or four weeks with the backlight off, and fully recharges in just three hours.

This is a really great keyboard, solidly built and had no issues getting it setup or pairing with my machine. While it's not super loud, I did add some o-rings to dempen the sound a bit. The various rgb settings that come pre-programmed are good as wellThe keycaps it comes with are a nice design, but there are loads of other keycaps out there to choose from if you want to change. Also comes with a keycap remover and win/mac alternatesMy only issue so far is with bluetooth. There can be a delay or response time that fluctuates, sometimes its smooth and unnoticeable, sometimes there is a noticeable delay. Whether thats an issue with the keyboard or my setup i'm not sure

This is my second keyboard from Keychron, its quality remains number 1 for me compared to others, the plastic feels very premium, the colors on both metals and plastic are great quality, the backlight is bright and the sound is fantastic, very deep and sturdy sounding. Typing is simply a joy to do, the whole keyboard feels very solid and the price its simply the undisputed king, offerings 100+ more expensive have left me wanting as opposed to this keyboard. Keychron provides extra keycaps as to fit your product for windows or mac os along with key cap remover and switch remover tools, a clear sign of extra effort you don't see from others. TL/DR - The Keychron K2 is a good keyboard, no doubts about it. I was happy with the purchase right away. There are a few things to get used to, that's more than expected when it comes to changing an item you're using daily.A lot of people on the internet complain the keyboard is too high. I can see why and I do understand why some people might have problems with it. If your fingers are short and your hands are small, I might expect you to have such complaints. However, you need to give yourself and your hands/fingers some time to get used to it. A few days worth of typing would indicate if it's for you or not.I've got to point this out - if you are used to typing on a mac or an Apple keyboard, you will for sure feel uncomfortable at first. A few days worth of typing would indicate if it's for you or not.I've got to point this out - if you are used to typing on a mac or an Apple keyboard, you will for sure feel uncomfortable at first. Apple keyboards and keycaps are incredibly thin compared to this one, so you'll need time to adjust. Once you do though, you'll never want to get back, I promise you that. ;)Overall, it looks great, solid, and inspiring to sit down and start typing away your code or whatever you're doing.I've got only one real complaint and that's got to do with the screencap key, which is the one on the left of the Del key, in the top-right. This key is not usable in macOS and - more importantly - cannot be remapped, as it triggers a combination of keys. I spoke to Keychron's support to confirm. The key, supposedly, triggers taking screenshots on Windows. To me, it's an odd decision to put a dedicated screenshot key on a 68-key keyboard, to say the least, but considering all the other positives of the product, I can live with it.For those interested in remapping keys on macOS (Catalina 10.15.7), I use the Karabiner app and it works like a charm.Thoughts on some of the features:- The overall build feels reaaaaly solid! There's a minimal (mi-ni-mal!) flex to the keyboard which you are not going to feel at all while you're typing, even when the keyboard is raised;- In the box, you'll get your windows replacement key-caps, an additional red keycap, a key-cap puller, a braided cable, and some instructions. All of it is well-packed;- The braided cable looks and feels solid;- The keyboard has 2-step risers which is a great addition;- The white backlight (i didn't get the RGB) is surprisingly nice! I honestly did not expect it to like it that much as I'm not much into backlit keyboards.- It glows in an ever so slightly blue-ish hue and it's very pleasant for the eyes, even on the highest setting. The light-modes are nice but I'm not using them, so I've got no real opinion about them. All I can say is that the transitions look smooth and soothing;- The key-caps themselves are comfortable and pleasant to the touch. They are not glossy, so they aren't slippery but they are also not too abrasive. If you happen to touch them with greasy fingers, you'd see a stain;- I got the brown switches - they feel nice, I enjoy typing much more than with my previous keyboard;- The keyboard can be used wirelessly and I haven't had any issues connecting it. Can't say much more, as I'm using it in cable mode;I'm sure I've missed something but I hope I got the idea across - to me, this is a great product and it's worth the money. I sincerely hope that it lasts for some years to come.

Goldilocks keyboard for coding
27 April 2023

I'd been using a much larger keyboard and barely used all the extra gamer/media keys on there. I'm a software engineer and also code games / game tech on the side, so I wanted a solid keyboard that would feel great and perform well for hours of cutting code, in a robust and compact form. Onboard (no software reliance) backlighting control a bonus. Did my research into Keychron and the K2v2, been using it for a few months now and is certainly the best keyboard I've used! I use it in USB wired mode and find the Gateron Brown switches to be just right in terms of noise, performance and feel. The compact size is perfect, exactly what I was after.

Good Product and Excellent Service
28 December 2021

Needless to say that, Keychron K2V2 is one of the best entry-level mechanical keyboard available on the market. The material is perfect. It's slick, well-placed and well guard the switch inside. There is nothing wrong with this keyboard, I love to have it with me.On the top of that, I really impressed with the service that Ergoworking had given. Previously, I missclicked my order and they handled it right away. I re-ordered again, and then the next thing that I knew in the next morning were my package was sitting infront my door. The only advise that I would like to give is expanding your variety product on Ergoworking, because I would love to shop in here again.Cheers,Ignasius Axel Hutomo.

Great Mechanical Keyboard

Great value & entry level keyboard if stepping into the world of custom mechanical keyboards.Keyboard layout is great (especially for people with smaller hands). The keyboard is quick thick, so best to buy with or use an existing wrist rest for extended use and comfort. Also impressed by the response via Bluetooth, especially when switching between Mac & Window Devices. Though still recommend using a cable for any gaming sessions.

Ordered the keyboard a few weeks ago - I had already done my research, watched youtube reviews, and read reviews online so I knew what to expect. I have not been disappointed with the product so far! I use this keyboard in windows and mac configuration. There is a handy switch on the side, as well as Bluetooth pairing is very simple with up to 3 devices. Switching between devices is seemless just by hitting fn + the preset bluetooth keys. Though I would recommend purchasing a wrist rest as the keyboard does have quite a bit of height.Initially off the Keychron website this product was sold out and usually is every time I check. I'm very happy with the keyboard. I find it quite interesting that I have managed to get used to this keyboard compared to my first mechanical keyboard (with Logitech Romer-G Tactile switches). Keychron 2 is an excellent keyboard for typing, but I have yet to use it for other applications such as gaming. The only major reason why I am reducing one point in the rating is the fact that this keyboard would be too high without a palm rest, which practically necessitates that you buy one. I went and bought the Keychron palm rest, which I feel fits rather well.To conclude, very happy with the keyboard, even if V3 of the product should be even lower.P.S. Maybe that depends on the device, but when I connect my MacBook after I press a button it just takes at most 2 sec and connected. It is also easy to change among multiple devices easily.Long-lasting battery: I only charge it once a week. Probably, it would take around 1.5 weeks, but I charge in advance. (RGB is always on, connected via Bluetooth, and working 12-13 hours a day)Cons:The buttons for switching from cable/Bluetooth mode, or win/mac operating system are on the left side of the keyboard. The labels of the buttons are in small font and barely seen. It s not a big issue, but I would prefer that button labels be written in another color, so becomes more visible. It is heavy. If you are a person that moves the keyboard to the office every day, don't buy it. If you will use it just at home, then no problem.Overall, I really like the keyboard and enjoy writing things. However, I have one doubt.

Thanks to the team specially to Jesse for the advices!!!Concerning the Keychron K2 v2 now, I could say that I m very satisfacted with it as I was looking for a compact and original product for my first mechanical keyboard.the keyboard is awesome in the aluminium version and the 5.1 bluetooth works good in Windows and ios environnements. The sensation is fantastic when typing with brown switches. I've just noticed that sometimes my keyboard has a bug after a long time of standby but everythig goes well when i switch of and restart it.The product is a little bit tall in the front and it could be a problem for some people but I ve also choosen the associated keyckron rest wrists and the result is a comfortable use.The wood is also very class and a good item for a desk.If I had to suggest something, Perhaps english pages could be better for international sales to profit from all the product descriptions and all the team work ;-)
