Keychron K8 RGB Mechanical Wireless Keyboard - Gateron Blue Switch [KBKCK8J2BLUE]
Keychron's K8 is the first general purpose wireless mechanical keyboard designed and funded by the Kickstarter community. This model features a compact 80% Tenkeyless case format, which is ideal for users who want a clean and wireless setup. The K8 comes with Gateron switches, which are considered the smoothest switches on the market right now. Whether for PC, Mac OS, Linux or even Android devices; the Keychron keyboards are compatible and meet all requirements. The desired operating system is set via a switch on the keyboard frame. With every Keychron keyboard, the additional keycaps for Mac and Windows, as well as a keycap puller, are included. For improved workflow and multitasking, you can connect up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously and switch from laptop to tablet or mobile. This Keychron keyboard has a fully hot-swappable PCB, which means that the switches are not soldered in place. So you can easily upgrade, swap and mix the switches (without soldering), just plug and unplug them as you like. The keyboard is equipped with excellent RGB LED backlighting for an optimal and customized typing experience. With 15 different lighting modes, flashing, breathing or static, the desired atmosphere can be created. This model features a sleek and stylish aluminum frame for increased durability and rigidity. The large 4000 mAh battery lasts up to nine days (8 hours per day up to 72 hours) with the backlight on, or four weeks with the backlight off, and fully recharges in just three hours.

Very satisfied with my purchase.Keyboard is solid and well built, wireless functionality also works well and there are no dropouts. When keyboard goes to sleep it re-connects really fast.I switch between mac and windows and have no issues in either.I only wish it was a little less tall as it takes some getting used to after using an apple magic keyboard.

This keyboard is a good board for those who are new to the mechanical keyboard scene. The customization of this keyboard is decent enough, especially considering the hot-swappable version. After almost a year later, I am not sure if I could recommend this keyboard to people. Many reviews below have stated the good points of this product already so this one is going to list all of the deal breakers instead.Firstly, this board is high, and I do mean very high. I recommend getting a wrist rest, otherwise your hands are going to suffer especially from RSI and hand cramps.Secondly, the key caps. You need to get a different set of key caps immediately since the one comes with this board is ugly in my opinion. The font is small and good luck reading that, at least they have RGB shine-through.Thirdly, the useless keys. Namely, the Cortana/Siri key and the PrintScreen key (for macOS users). These keys are unmappable. Although the manufacture had stated that they would release some software to support remapping keys in late 2020, they failed to deliver that promise and now focusing on releasing new products instead. The "Cortana/Siri" key is mapped to Win+C and Fn+Space in Windows and Mac mode, respectively, when you switching between each mode. There is simply no good option to remap this key as this one does not send a single scan code but a combination instead. The PrintScreen key I think will send cmd+4 in the Mac mode. Even Karabiner or SharpKeys only support mapping a single key rather than a shortcut combination. And no, there is no QMK/VIA support for this board yet. Finally, the USB cable that comes with this board is very short. You might need to buy a second USB-C cable to connect this board to your PC if you want more comfortable of moving keyboard around your desk.I have not tested the battery life simply because I mainly use it on my home PC rather than travelling with it. I would assume that it would last long if you do not have RGB turn on.Overall after a year of using I feel good about this board. I think there are better boards out there for both Windows and Mac users. For me, this is good enough.

Amazing keyboard with many features and relatively low price. The red switches are buttery smooth and provide awesome feel. The force requires is not much so it might take you a second to get used to it to avoid some mistakes while typing. The sound is very nice, but slightly louder than what I would have hoped (it's due to keycaps not the switches as they are quiet). The K3 low-profile keychron optical red switches are _far_ more quiet, if you are looking for the most quiet keyboard possible.

Keychron is my first mechanicla keyboard and I already have started liking it. The typing, the sound, the backlight and the possibility to work via a bluetooth connection with up to 3 different devices at the same time.Like the fact that it comes with extra keys - to customize it for both mac and windows.Delivery was on time and personalized card note was unique. Nice experience!Ita a bit taller than the other keyboard that I've used but that didnt bother me much other than getting use to it. Would recommend a wrist rest or something if that bothers.Overall an amazing tool!
Keyboard connects via bluetooth very quickly. I like that there are several saved devices you can save on the keyboard so you can switch between devices without the fuss of repairing constantly.Keys feel nice and positive, good value for the price.
Beautiful with a high quality Keyboard, I like the red switch sound. It's my first mechanical keyboard so I need more practice to get used to it, specially with arrow keys during working I need to look at keyboard.I only problem I have is connecting keyboard to the Macbook and also ThinkPad after wake up some times need to logged in to laptop and connect again! It must to be solved with applying some configuration changes that I'v already working on it.
Love the keyboard. Its a great size and weight, easy to move around my desk when my cats try to take over. Reaction time of the keys is great. I love all the colour options for the backlight.Battery life seems excellent. I do turn off the keyboard when I am away from my desk, but I've had it for a month and haven't had to charge it.I do wish the PC gear website had provided a little more information about the hot-swap key options from Keychron. I did do some research about what key option would be best for me, but somewhere between the Keychron website and PC gear website I got my wires crossed. I ordered Blue (they're great, and responsive, and typing is nice), but I wish I had ordered the brown which would have been quieter. My only issue with the keyboard is ... MoreLove the keyboard. I ordered Blue (they're great, and responsive, and typing is nice), but I wish I had ordered the brown which would have been quieter. My only issue with the keyboard is that the blue keys are quite loud, and cut through noise cancelling headphones. Not enough to ruin the experience of using it, but enough that I will absolutely not reorder blue keys next time I need a new keyboard. My only gripe with this keyboard is that she is quite tall, and absolutly needs a wrist rest. I wish Keychron made ones that matched, rather than only the wooden ones. Seems like it would look strange having a black/grey aluminium keyboard and a wooden wrist rest. I have a gel wrist rest from kmart or somewhere, but it's not quite tall enough. I will probably buy the Keychron rest for this reason.I do wish there was some combination of keys that could lock the backlight setting, because it is kinda easy to knock the button and throw off your settings, but aside from that I have no other issues.Nice board, especially for the cost.
Overall look and feel, format is exactly what I wanted. Feels robust. Only used in wired mode. For the personal touch it came with a handwritten card and cookies. Nice.Given that it says "... for Windows and Mac" it should come with no surprise that you need to fiddle around a bit to get it working properly under GNU/Linux (Fn, F-keys don't work out of the box). Reddit to the rescue. Works like a charm. Not sure why I would want to distract myself with rythmic lightshows on my keyboard, but colleagues' kids were quite ~~impressed~~hypnotized.
Extremely happy with this keyboard which I've been using for coding and gaming. Keys feel great and love that it includes key caps for windows and mac. The brown switches feel awesome and it's great that I can change the keyboards lighting directly on the keyboard without having to download any software. If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing and awesome feeling keyboard I'd 100% recommend.
This keyboard has been great, easy to get use to and very convenient for using multiple computers without having multiple keyboards cluttering your workspace, the rest is soft yet firm, perfect for my use. It is hot swap-able making any repairs or change of switches a breeze to deal, the aluminum build feels very sturdy and premium and its worth its extra cost and then some. Two things that had never happened to me before, i received a bag of popcorn with my products and a thank you letter from Yan(member of the staff, thanks Yan!), that along with having a product available not even the almighty amazon.uk and .de had in offer, overall great buy and would recommend the keyboard and this store to anyone.
