I had seen this on tent awning on The Overlander Next Door's FJ and I knew I needed to get one fro my FJ. The install was fairly easy, I had to rearrange some things on the roof rack. It fits perfectly between the doors if I want them open. I really like you can zip down part of it to reach inside the vehicle. Can't wait to try it out on a camping trip. No more pop up tent and I am sure my wife will appreciate it. P.s. When are you guys gonna have a patch and or a sticker?

Worked out great! Unfolds and packs up super easy! Great compartments for soap, and easy velcro to hold our shower nozzle.Till I figure out where I want to permanently mount it, I ratchet strap it to my spare tire off the back of my Jeep when I am at camp! Works out perfectly! Will probably end up with the AAL MASS spare tire platform and mount it too that eventually. Shower awning worked out great with my propane water heater!I think while the showers were down at Sequoia NP, people were a little jealous of our setup! Being able to clean us all up after a day was AMAZING!

This shower awning is probably one of my favorite additions. Super easy install, set up and breakdown. Awning comes with a “L” bracket for mounting onto your roof rack. Straps to adjust the length of your awning and a zipper in the inside to allow you to have access to your back seat if the back window is rolled down. Perfect if you don’t want to hang your towel and clothes on the awning arms. I do not use provided stakes, but bought heavy duty stakes to secure the bottoms instead. Works for me since areas we camp has hard, packed dirt and pretty windy.

When I got this tent I didn’t know what to expect but I will say it’s great. So much better than my old one that was a pop up. I love having it on my truck was an easy install and it deploys easily and fast. And putting it away is even easier and faster than my pop up one. And since it’s mounted doesn’t take up space in the truck. I do a lot of overlanding and weekend camp and fishing trips and this is fantastic. Holds my toilet well and is great for showering. Now Dloor to it which will be coming soon enough.
This awning is thoughtfully designed and engineered in all the best ways, super easy to use once you've got it installed and leveled. An amazing product I highly recommend. Would be five stars but two of the plastic clips from which the awning curtain hangs arrived broken and can't really be replaced apart from unstitching the loop. A simple windsor knot sufficed to fix the situation, but I can see that this will eventually likely be the first thing to fail. Additionally, mounting the thing may require custom brackets, and the bracket fabrication actually cost more than the unit. I'm not at all sorry I did it, but it put me way over budget. Plan accordingly.
Mounting this thing was impossible. I had to go to 2 different hardware stores on two separate occasions because the hardware they provide are only small nuts and bolts. The nuts are so small they spin in my roof racks channel and the mounting T bolts I had were too thick to fit in the small holes of the bracket. When i finally figured out a solution i prepared to finish mounting it but tightening the nuts to the bolts they provided was literally impossible and here is why: first of all the bolt head was barely big enough to stop it from spinning in the channel so it wiggled around in the channel. The nut was hard to even get onto the threading of the bolt which also made it hard to tighten that it got to a point where it wouldnt tighten anymore and the force of me ... This awning has single-handedly change our camping and Offroad experiences. Makes it easier to use the restroom and shower when on the go. No need to sit there and mess around with garbage tents that dont fold down or pack away easily. This thing sets up in a FLASH. Only thing missing is an optional roof top cover so that if raining you can still use it as an outhouse. Maybe they will create this as an accessory in the future. Otherwise I love this and will never go anywhere without it! All of my friends are buying one :)
Purchased the shower tent just before Easter 2021 for use at our family Easter camp. Over the 3 nights and 4 days off grid camping this shower tent (and portable shower) were used many times by the 6 adults and 5 kids without any issues or having to recharge the shower pump.The tent stays fitted to the side of the family 4wd and has been taken off road several times and been used as a toilet tent during several picnics/ off road trips. The cover has coped a few scratches from trees but is still in perfect condition.The only issue I have is the price of the shower tent has been reduced by over $100 since we bought it and now they have added a floor to the line up which we will be purchasing before our camp next Easter!
Love our KickAss products but found a problem with the shower tent when we tried to demonstrate it to our friends. The vertical entry zipper won't open without applying force which I'm sure isn't right. All other zippers run perfectly. We will be at your Kunda Park shop on Thursday 4th May or Friday 5th to see if you have more success with it than we did. Funny thing is that we haven't used it yet except for the demonstration to our friends. See you in a few weeks. Thank you Janette & Michael
Only a few things I wish were different. 1 it would be nice if it was a foot longer to give more privacy that your heads not sticking out or your feet. 2 i'm not a fan of having kick ass in bold letters on the outside of the product maybe a different name. Even though the product is kick ass but not something I want on a family trailer. three as I don't understand if there was supposed to be a crossbar at one time besides for the two folding bars. The straps are there but all it does is droop in the front. :( nothing like staring your neighbor face-to-face while you're trying to change.but the great part is is it is very fast to set up and seems to be very durable so far even when we used it in Highwinds in the badlands
