Kicker HS8 8" Hideaway Powered Subwoofer

Let me start by saying I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with the Alpine Premium sound system with the 10 " subwoofer. Stock off the lot. I have been driving this vehicle for a little over a year now and had made some adjustments to the stock Alpine Premium sound system to compensate for the lack of front soundstage and boominess from the Alpine 10" subwoofer, over the past year, to convince myself the sound was better. Note in my installation of these two upgrades I set aside time for each phase of the installation (sound bar and dash panel, subwoofer, and then then knee panel) so I could do a thorough job. The sub install took longer than I had thought, but the added time it took me made sure it was installed professionally. A big help to me was the install videos. Very clear, concise, and informative and easy to access on my garage computer. If it weren't foor the inistall videos I would have never engaged in this project. Having the wires all premade and soldered is a really nice touch. Plug and play for sure. That was my one caveat - not to have to rewire the whole system for new speakers. After a week of adjustments, here and there, coupled with plug and play Kicker speaker upgrade the kicker 10" sub adds a of lot tight, punchy bass that I can feel in my solar plexus, - just the way l like it!! I have it set so it does not overwhelm the 10" alpine stock subwoofer. The bass sound in the vehicle sounds the way it should have for a $60K+ vehicle! I am more of a sound quality person than sound pressure guy. The bass control knob is a great touch as well. The sound in the JTR, now, is a huge improvement with these KIcker Plug-and-play upgrades from Trail seven. Clear, less distortion, louder. It sounds like the bass player is in the back seat - LOL. Follow the install videos, plan your install and take your time. The end results are very worth it! Thank you Trail Seven for such a plug-and-play product! JR in Colorado.

I was in the Car Audio business for 31 years. I just bought the new 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid and installed it. It fits inside the the storage area under the rear seat and the battery is right there next to it. If you are trained with a Digital volt meter the 12v switched and continuous wires drop right out of the fuse block in the front passenger floorboard. The unit is supplied with all necessary cables including a fuse to put up front by your connection to main power. I used yellow 10 gauge "T" taps so as not to cut the supply wires to the main fuse block. It's always good to be safe. If your not sure let a pro install it. I will not slide under passenger seat of a 2 door JK. The seat slides forward and up. The bar that runs under the seat on the backside blocks it. I even unbolted the seat to get it under there. The bar comes down on the sub and the seat will not go down to riding position. Sounds great, but is not under seat.
