Kiehl's Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream 50 ml

This is the second water cream I ever tried. The first was which I received a free sample of and absolutely loved. This Kiehl's Calendula water cream is my current favorite because of the calendula and how soothing it is. I have combination skin and I love how this stuff absorbs so quickly while calming my skin and leaving it incredibly soft. Lately, as it's the end of June and it's been so hot out, I have been keeping my container in my mini fridge and it feels like heaven after a long, hot day. I LOVE this. It’s my holy grail. I have sensitive skin with areas that tend to get oily and others that get super dry. This feels refreshing on the skin and hydrates it so well, I also believe the calendula has such a calming effect on my sensitive skin. I’ve been using it for three years and my skin has never been better. I got my husband to start applying some in the morning too lol, and he now buys his own and swears by it! People actually compliment his skin all the time! And I find it hilarious when he tells people that ever since he started using this his skin feels so good.

Best little tub of serum ever

I never ever leave reviews so for me to be leaving one is because this product is magical. So I bought this little tub to try out as my skin gets dry during the winter but is actually very oily during the summer. I use it as a base to my cream and it honestly works wonders, love how fresh my skin looks after. Turns out on new years eve I was drunk and cooking (not a good combo) and I burnt myself with my airfryer. The burnt was pretty ugly, it bubbles up and everything. I began applying the excess left from this serum to the burnt. In less that two weeks the burnt magically disappeared!!! If I could attach a picture of the before and after you guys would be gobsmacked! I have to say this little tub is honestly MAGICAL! Well done Khiels!

Disappointing

I have been trying to find a replacement for the discontinued oil-free daily moisturizer (by another brand) that I had used for over a decade, and was hoping this was the answer, but sadly, it is not. I have large pores and sensitive, oily skin and I already was using Kiehl's Calendula toner, which I like, so I had high hopes for this moisturizer. Unfortunately, this product never fully absorbs (no matter how little I apply) and feels tacky and heavy on my skin. It makes my face look shiny and my skin tone weirdly uneven, even when used under an oil-control primer and oil-free foundation. I have never had luck with gel moisturizers, and would not have even tried this one had the description more clearly noted that this is a gel. Great for dry, sensitive skin in the summer

I'm one week in to using this cream and it has transformed my skin completely. I was experiencing a breakout on my cheek of a few cystic acne bumps, whiteheads scattered around my face and generally my skin was becoming more oily than usual before I found this cream. At that time I was using drunk elephant's ceramide cream and while it was great over the winter, my dry, sensitive needed something lighter for the summer. Enter Kiehl's! My skin is completely different than it was a week ago, I almost wish I had taken a 'before' photo but I was feeling so hopeless that anything would work, I neglected to. I'm floored as I've been dealing with adult acne my entire adulthood (I'm 31) so I feel like I've found magic. My only Quam is the cost, it is not an issue for me personally but this product is definitely on the pricier side. Great skin should not be a luxury!

Just what I’ve been looking for!!!

With each Kiehl’s product I try, I love them more and more. I was so put off by the price of this cream, I almost didn’t try it. Luckily, one of those 25% off sales came at the perfect time so I decided to give it a shot. I fell in love immediately!! I have some health issues that make my skin a little red and this was a total game changer! After one night, I saw a massive difference! And secondly (and almost as importantly), I love the way it feels! I’ve been able to find plenty of moisturizers that make my skin look nice but the problem for me is the way they feel. They’re either slimy or greasy or heavy. I just couldn’t find my glass slipper—until now! They call it water cream but they should call it cloud cream! This one is officially part of my permanent rotation.

Leaves white cast

I got a luxury size sample in an order. I use sunscreen everyday so always on the lookout for anything that may be an improvement on current options. Sadly, this isn't the one. This goes on quite dry making it hard to work into the skin but because it's so dry, it feels like you are rubbing your face with your dry hands. Not a nice feeling. This also went on with the horrible white cast that didn't fully disappear even after 5 or so minutes after allowing it to settle. I took some photos in natural light outside and the white cast showed through my make up, in particular on my chin. Not a great look, especially on dark skin...

Must have skincare product! Highly recommended!

I am not one to write reviews but when I love a product I make an effort to write a review!I personally highly recommend this product as a Must-have and essential to a good daily skincare routine.The Serum infused water cream have a lighter and runnier consistency which help them sink more deeply into the skin, keep your skin hydrated and smooth all day long yet doesn’t make you feel greasy. This product is a great way of boosting the efficacy of your skincare routine.The calendula smell is another plus for this product which gives you a relaxing feeling. Not your basic lightweight Water Cream

I bought the 2020 Kiehl’s Advent Calendar and that’s how I learned about this brand. It contained a sample of this product. I like it so much that the largest size available on Sephora is currently in my cart. I usually don’t care for these types of products because I need heavy duty moisturizers and these tend to be too light. But this Kiehl’s product is not like the rest; while the initial texture and thickness is similar to others, it has notably more hydration IMO.For reference, I’d compare it to the Peter Thomas Roth water cloud. The PTR felt great when applied, but dried up fast and didn’t hydrate at all IMO, plus it (like other similar gels) evaporated even with the lid on tight, to the point that after I hadn’t used it for a few weeks, I decided to, only ... MoreI bought the 2020 Kiehl’s Advent Calendar and that’s how I learned about this brand. I can really feel the benefits of this Calendula serum/hydrating moisturizer combo. It feels so cooling and calming on my skin and leaves a comfortable dewy finish.At first glance it seems like a jelly and made me wonder if this was going to really moisturize or even sink in… well it does!A little goes a long way, which is good to know since it is expensive.Upon application to my skin, it starts to transform into a really nice and easily applied water cream. It provides light (but not sticky or oily) moisture, and it’s the perfect balance… my skin can be dry (esp. in the AM) but then turns oily as the day goes on. The old formula had random bits of flowers in it that you’d find on your face after applying- so I never bought a full size. This new formula, with the Calendula components micronized (made tiny and not noticeable) makes much more sense as a daily moisturizer/serum combo for my AM routine. It leaves such a calming and fresh finish! Thumbs up!
