So I think this is one of those products that actually does work and can work for some people! I don’t think there will ever be any type of serum that will show results for everyone. That’s just not how the human body works! However, this product will in my opinion give you visible results if you are consistent and follow the directions. I noticed an improvement in my skin texture and overall complexion. I have acne and am generally quite red but I found this helped the redness and the appearance of my blemishes. Because this has retinol I would also suggest researching which ingredients should be avoided while also using this. AMAZING! Be prepared to fall in love…

I’m such a skincare junkie (hence my account name) and can honestly say that I have tried an estimated 80% of skincare products on this site (obviously not many with super low reviews). I have a very extensive skincare routine because I love taking care of my skin, for both the results and the process. I use a lot of actives so it takes something quite amazing to wow me….and this product did! It is amazing at producing both quick results and shockingly even more results as the day(s) go on. This retinol will stay in my routine as long as it’s available - can’t go wrong with peptides in the formula and I have yet to find a quality over the counter retinol that has peptides in it. I’m so happy I found another product from my fav brand because I trust Kiehl’s. I know they have good stuff in their products & stay away from lots of the bad stuff & that’s why I stick with them til the end!

I live in Iceland and bought this product here. As a regular customer of Kiehl’s product I wanted to give a try to this product. In this regard I consulted to dermatologist who was working at Kiehl’s store for something that will hydrate my scin and she recommended me this product which I used it only Three times and i quit using it. It does totally the opposite of what I asked her for. It terribly dries and peel off you skin. Not hydrating at all. She did not took into consideration that I already had a very dry skin thats why I asked for hydration creme. She was telling me that she uses this product and its good. But she did not take into consideration that we have different type of skin so for me this product made my skin even worse. Easy to use

It arrived four days ago, and I have been asked to submit my review now, so I cannot comment on any long term effects, as I also did a 24hr patch test on the back of my hand before using it on my face. I can however tell you that it incredibly easy to use and fit into your skin regime, either at night or in the morning. This is a great advantage if you don't use all your products every day/night (for example self tan etc.) I was thrilled to recently discover Retinol and Vit C can be used at the same time so I didn't have to stop using other products to test this, and certainly there has been no clash of chemicals on my skin which is treated daily to various active ingredients across the derma-board! (think physical exfoliants, Vit C, fruit acids, Salicylic acid, Hyaluronic acid, fake tan, SPF, make up with all sorts of active, good things in them!) Retinol usually comes with a "use less frequently if irritation occurs/your skin might take a while to get used to it," warning, and this one does too, but they have included the buffer cream element in the product which on one hand means you don't have to faff about making the mixture. I suppose on the other hand you can't mix it to the right blend for your skin if you prefer a less/more strong effect. My skin usually goes a little dry and flaky after a few day's use of a Vitamin A product, even ones prescribed by my dermatologist but so far, no flakiness, which is great news. The product has no discernible scent and it sinks into your skin quite quickly. You will definitely want to put your moisturiser on straight after, to get that plump, soft skin feeling going! I can't award it any more stars yet as I haven't seen if it really does improve fine wrinkles but I wouldn't expect such a response so soon after starting to use this product. However my skin is quite glowy today, and I would hope that this product is part of that. If, as Kiehl's suggests there will be minimal dryness/peeling then I shall be delighted to continue using this and shall await further good results. I would recommend you try this product and see for yourself

Gentle retinol

I have been using retinol products for awhile and definitely prefer the more gentle strengths, like this one. It's a very lightweight serum that applies smoothly and sinks in quickly. I started using this twice a week for a week then every second night and it has not irritated my skin, caused redness or peeling. It doesn't have a scent which I am pleased about. It's a slight yellow colour, which hasn't changed in the time I have been using it. The packaging is great, the dark heavy glass bottle feels substantial and feels like it's protecting the product well, keeping it airless and light protected. The pump makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product, I only need only pump for my face and neck. Great Product in Excellent Packaging

I am always frustrated with how much product remains in a tube or bottle once no more can be squeezed or pumped out. So I cut open tubes and can get at least another week's worth of product; and take the top off a pump bottle to get to the last bit of product. But with Kiehl's I discovered that although the retinol serum seems to be in a glass bottle, there is actually a small vacuum sealed bag of product which collapses as it is pumped out. And there really was no more left in the bag -- so no waste! And even better, the label easily came off the bottle to make recycling easier. I have sensitive skin, and don’t use any retinol product in my routine before. As recommended by the staff, I start slow by using only twice a week at first at night time (just to introduce retinol to my skin). The 2nd n 3rd week i increase the frequency to every 3 days and then 2 days. At 4th week, i start to use it every night. I don’t have problem with irritation or burn. Few years back i had tried one retinol product (NOT Kiehl’s) which cause retinol-burn on my skin, n i’ve stop since then. But with Kiehl’s Micro-Dose Retinol Serum, I don’t have the same problem, just tingling sensation (for me it just a sign of the active ingredient absorb n reacts with your skin).
