It could be the squalene in it that my skin has needed all these years, not sure, but I cannot believe I waited this long to try this miracle moisturizer.If you have also struggled with dry skin for a long time, I highly recommend giving this moisturizer a try. The texture itself is wonderfully light and non sticky which makes you wonder how on earth it is so moisturizing but it really is. If you really want some results then apply pure, cold pressed moringa oil at night on top of it to lock it in and watch your skin transform!

I love this moisturizer and have been using it for a few years now. I have oily skin in the summer, and on the drier side (with some oiliness) in the winter, and I can use it in both seasons - I just adjust the amount I use. I use it alongside Ordinary's niacinemide serum and their glycolic acid toner, and they seem to be the perfect combination. I'm a big believer that your serums and acids should be doing the heavy lifting in terms of skin concerns, while your moisturer should be keeping your skin healthy and well hydrated. This certainly does the job, and without breaking me out! Just smooth, plump, hydrated skin. It thankfully contains no shea butter, which is my worst enemy and many deep hydrating creams seem to contain it. The larger jars are great value!

So it changed my perception from 'just a hydrating moisturizer' to something that can soothe and recover from my 'actives night'I strongly recommend to those who are on 'actives' treatment to use this as a soothing cream especially at night.The only downside is that you need to wait until it's fully absorbed into the skin. Since they do not put an expiration date on their items I always wondered when the 12 mos time would be up so am glad now to know I can call Kiehls or look online to find the dates. Having said this, the last products I have purchased and this Ultra Facial Cream was almost a year old. That does not seem right. As for as this cream goes, I used to love it and have bought many times; it hydrates well for me if I use it in combination with the Hydrating Gel. I notice if I do not use the plumping lotion it does not do as good a job.
