Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque 14ml

I’ve been using Kiehl's rare earth deep pore cleansing masque 2x a week for 5 months when writing this review. For the first few applications, it burned a little bit that’s because I have very sensitive skin but after that, it didn’t irritate anymore. This masque is very creamy and spreads on very easily. Direction says to apply on damp skin after cleansing and leave it on for about 10 minutes. It’ll help to absorb excess oil, dirt, and impurity build-ups. This clay masque doesn’t have any scent which is perfect for me. I haven’t noticed a difference in the pore tightness yet but I can feel my skin is getting less greasy and uneven skin tone around my lips is getting brighter. Great face mask! Beware the company!!

I love this face mask but I really hate this company!! Customer service is extremely important to me and theirs is the absolute worst! I’m talking the George Costanzas of companies here. Who cheats someone on their birthday gift? And they only give you your samples half the time when you’re supposed to get them with every purchase, not that I really care about the samples. I do care that the promo codes never work. I like that they’re clean beauty products and they’re not tested on animals but lots of companies offer that without trying to cheat me on the discounts THEY offer. I mean, just don’t offer them. Maybe you have the patience of a saint but I don’t. They have actually made me not want to use products I love because I hate seeing their company name on them ... MoreI love this face mask but I really hate this company!! I've used this mask five times since receiving it and I love the way my skin looks the next morning. My nose has had some unfortunate looking pores recently and this stuff gives me tight, clear looking pores immediately! I had a mask with similar ingredients years ago before my wedding that got my face completely clear after about 6 weeks of use so I'm hoping for similar long term results. I will say that my period came without any breaking out this month and I think this mask may have been part of it. Make sure that all clay masks you use like this stay on your skin long enough to start drying so that they can pull impurities properly!

I’ve always wanted to find a good clay mask that would help calm down my acne prone combination skin, but my skin used to actually break out more after using certain clay masks in the past. I was worried Kiehl’s would be the same but am happy to see that only after a quick 10minute application, mask washed off easily to leave the skin feeling clean and pores more refined. Skin can feel more taut and tight afterward from the deep cleansing so I made sure to follow up with my usual serums and moisturizer or sheet mask for hydration. I did notice the mask can sting quite a bit after I double cleansed with my oil balm and cleanser; perhaps the extra cleaning steps made the skin too sensitive. Relieved that there was minimal purging and seemed to help calm down acne and tighten pores. Compared to the other clay mask in my stash innisfree Volcanic Peel Off mask, this one doesn’t peel off but feels quicker to apply and washes off nicely with warm water and a towel. Easily able to incorporate this once a week in my skincare routine.

I had been using a store brand mask for years. Then I got the chance to use the Kiehl's Deep Pore Cleansing Masque for free in exchange for my review. Game changer! I have combination skin, but very oily on my nose. Being as it is Summer, I sweat so much more and my already over large pores are really evident. This product not only removed the dead cells from my skin but also made them literally disappear from my face. This mask is applied over clean skin in a light amount. I was gifted this product through Bzz agent. Honestly, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much because I've used clay masks in the past, but this one truly is different. My face felt like I had NEW SKIN after using this product. I tried it at least two times before I came to the conclusion that the "new skin" feel was owed to this mask. I will definitely be buying this in the future when I need that exfoliating new skin feel back. I'm in my mid 40s and normally use exfoliating and anti wrinkle products but nothing I've used in the past has left my skin feeling so healthy and "brand new" like this one. I am loving this new Rare Earth mask. It has a thick, smooth consistency that spreads on the skin easily with either a skincare spatula or your fingers. It has a super cooling effect to the skin, almost as if it contains mint. I leave the mask on about 10 or 15 minutes and it does not dry out as other clay masks that I have used tend to do. It rides easily and does not leave my mature skin feeling dry. I do think that it makes my final lines appear less noticeable, the skin on my forehead smoother and a bit tighter. The cooling affect does last a little while after rinsing. This is definitely , a new skincare staple for me. As a little of this mask goes a long way, I also think that it is a good value.

Kiehls products are usually amazing so I had high expectations for this mask, and it didn’t disappoint! The mask was really great in cleansing my skin and You only need a small amount to cover your entire face. When the mask is on, there’s a cooling sensation and it feels great and relaxing. After taking it off however, my skin felt really tight and dry. I needed to moisturize immediately which is the case every time I wear clay masks, I find them drying.The next day my face looked cleansed and almost like a blurring effect. I didn’t notice any reduction in oil in my t zone however.I think this is a great once a week or two weeks mask when your skin feels congested and needs a deep cleanse. But no more than once a week.
