I brought the 3/8 version , perfect for motorcycle , bit light for cars and 4wd . It’s good value but get the 1/2 inch one for car service . I use often use to not over tighten sump plugs .
I’m glad I spent a little more money and got the Kinchrome torque wrench. Quality product
Has a logical linear imperial scale (foot pounds) but the metric side is just the same imperial values metricated so is difficult to use if you want to work in newton metres. The scales are not that easy to read.
The primary unit on this torque wrench is ft-lbs. It does have Nm on it too, but you have to do some calculations to use that, which is not really practical. If you want to use Nm, the easiest way is to convert to ft-lbs and use that, but that is a pain, and it's an extra step where you can make a mistake.Most things use Nm these days. Ft-lbs is not very useful.I bought this one a few years ago when I didn't know anything about torque wrenches. I suspect a lot of people accidentally buy this one like I did. I don't think Bunnings ought to sell it.
Do not loosen the lock nut, after 5 uses it turned loose. Stickers everywhere but the lock nut $$$. Try read 0 and not turn past 0. Once calibrated should have a sealed sticker guarding the nut. Very upset having to ship to Victoria for calibration.
Torque rating in nM should be highlighted at the front as this is the most common denominator of torque used in the automotive industry.Also the scale is very off.No happy with the product and would rather a different product with better torque scale if possoble
Looks fairly well machined torque tested against another wrench and seemed spot on. Not the fanciest but great value for the price
