I purchased the SSD with upgrade kit. My laptop is Windows 10. Down load AcronisTrueImageOEM_5128.exe No Problem. When attempted to install the software, I immediately get the message "Acronis True Image OEM Installation Failed". A phone call to support revealed this is a well known problem that has been going on for weeks. The immediate fix or work around was an E-mail with a link to Macirum software product that was a trial version that permitted cloning. Their instruction for cloning were not easy to use especially going from a 256GB drive to a 512GB drive. I must have pushed the wrong button because clone failed and I cannot boot the drive or erase the 512GB Kinston disk. It seems I must purchase the full Acronis product to make my new Kingston disk useable

Purchased product to upgrade older notebook with smaller SSD. Little more than plug and play, just needed to re-install OS and files. Performance has been excellent, far surpassing outdated OEM drive.

Pros: Improved performance dramaticallyCons: Kit needs carrier to fit a mini tower, I had to fit ssd loose and tape it in with masking tape
I recently installed this KC600 512GB SSD drive with a clean copy of Windows 10 OS, as a replacement to the stock WD platter HDD, along with a larger RAM unit to maximise memory capacity, in my ageing net-book and after capturing all of the available Windows 10 updates and hardware drivers, it's looking like a worthwhile set of upgrades. The machine used to be slow to the point of being generally unusable for anything productive but now, it runs quite smoothly; fast boot up and quicker command processing have turned it back into a useful tool! The Kingston KC600 drive is the usual high quality you'd expect from them and its read/write speeds are up to 550/520 MB/s, which is comparatively at the top end of what's available in a 2.5 Inch SATA 3 SSD format and in my ... I am very happy that I bought the KC600 SSD 1024GB2.5" from Kingston ! Kingston is a well known brand with a high reputation company that I have trusted for a while. I have done a great amount time, searching internet just by "best SATA SSD", Kingston products shows up almost everywhere. I was looking for a SSD with SATA interface, balanced in its functionality, performance, reliability, and price. The product description of the KC600 says, "... , It comes in both 2.5" and mSATA form factors using SATA Rev 3.0 interface with backwards compatibility. It features read/write speeds up to 550/520MB/s to efficiently store your data up to 2TB ". It also provides " limited 5-year warranty with free technical support ". Many other brands only provides " limited 2-year warranty ". I can see that Kingston has a very high reliability confidence for their products, Besides, many other brands SSD don't come with a hardware encryption available. The installation is very easy. Its performance is excellent. I was so happy with my KC600. You know what, 5 days later, I bought 3 more pieces of KC600 for my other systems.
I bought Msata Ssd from a Amazon vendor and came unusable. I was not happy about the product.Called Kingston and they had a 1tb Msata drive. I decided to with top of the line parts. Installed in laptop , OS, and apps. Kingston Ssd drive work great. Don’t go cheap on memory. Get the good stuff.
I have had Kingston SSDs before and found them reliable, fast and long lasting. Mostly they come ready formatted and you can plug and play. Not always though and your PC/laptop will not recognise it. In this case it needs initialising and to ensure the correct file system is being used. Plenty of information on the internet about this procedure.
This was the third SSD migration in 4 weeks. All using the same kit. Two kits were missing the accronis coupon, necessitating a call to support. While support resolved the issue, it was nice to find the required code in the box. This upgrade was as good as could be expected.5 stars (other. Two would be lower due to the missing code).
Order came quickly no problems. Everything fit and works as advertised. A do it yourself project done with no worries. A marked improvement in the computer speed. Highly recommend as I'm very pleased.
