Have not used much, but initial impressions are good. Seems to transfer Photos from Camera to PC with ease. Much better than my old one which refused to work with new Core I7 Desktop. This one is Bang up to Date and works well with Windows 10. Reader is also Light and takes up little space in Camera Case.

I was disappointed when I discovered the device does not emulate a USB drive, as my intent was to boot from this drive with different software discs. It is still a good flexible product that is part of my road warrior kit.
Sadly, one of the prior reviewers has system issues causing the speed problem they where experiencing. How do I know this you ask? Well, I have and have access to hundreds of systems, and have over a hundred MicroSD cards. Ok, the big kicker was the fact that my HP Laptop, and a Dell desktop have USB 3.0 ports that run at USB 2.0 speeds, seriously such a PITA, why color it blue and/or dont mention it in the Specs... so dumb! (No other USB 3.0 drive I plug into these ports will run over the 35MBps 2.0 spec speed, so frustrating, tried 13 different device's, and yes, there are ZERO usb 2.0 IC's on either system board and none in device manager, 3.0 only) I have read that there are auto negotiation issues with some usb 3.0 chipsets so that might be the problem, ... I do worry about how tight of a fit the internal structure is, if its too tight, it can scratch/scrape away the MicroSD top, thankfully, that did not happen, and with the one UHS-II card, it works like a charm and hit about 220MBps. Pretty nuts, and so far, has not had ANY issues. Outside of that, its $10 for top tier reader! My only issues, are the same issue I have with almost all readers of this size, no listed orientation to insert the card, yes it should be obvious and to me it was, but its not to all and a co-worker almost inserted it upside down... AND the heat, and keep in mind, heat is a natural byproduct of something this small being powered, its a thing, get over it! BUT, I wish they would thermal pad the top/bottom of the internal card to the plastic casing to dissipate the heat, or put some venting on it, just something to help, because when I wrote a large collection of ISO's to the USH-II card, I wanted to put it under a pan and make some eggs...

Well using the Kingston reader, almost got the advertised Read speed, and got better than advertised Write speed. Highly Recommend this reader. This is the best micro SD card reader I own right now. Others don't seem to align the micro SD cards well enough. This one holds them firmly and seems to perfectly align them. Also, the curve where the card is inserted makes it easy to insert and remove the micro SD cards. It's one negative quality, is that it isn't as fast as some other micro SD card readers, but it makes up for that in reliability. I would definitely buy this again.
This little microSD adapter is designed for the faster USB 3 or later connections and UHS II. I didn't have a UHS II card, but just a UHS I, V30 card. Using it with the adapter was hugely faster than with the adapters I had or the one built into my computer with about triple the write speeds of older adapters and even higher read speeds. It has a second row of contacts within the reader because that is how uhs II works but backwards compatible. The price was good and this works really well. It's small and could be used like a USB flash drive with a good micro SD card. I'd get it again if I needed another.
