So much better than I expected! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a spice rack! Easy to assemble too.

Good value for money

For the cheap cost, it’s actually good value. Easy to put together and exactly what I was looking for.

Great idea - poor execution and quality

I bought 2 kit out spice racks based on good reviews. The design and sizing is really good but very poorly made using cheap materials. Some of the timber pieces have chunks out of them, the holes are very roughly drilled and there were no assembly instructions provided in either box!

I'm stupid but eh
16 July 2022

Well it's a spice rack. I wish I had a power tool before going into this project, but that's okay; a screw driver and an incredibly patient friend had it together by the end of the night. Anyone with some textiles knowhow will probably be fully capable of putting this together in two seconds but as someone who probably should have read the description better before buying felt like it was worth spending more money to buy this assembled. Also it doesn't fit all my spices

What a great idea to be able to put it together yourself. We stained the individual parts first, then assembled it. Looks absolutely great in our kitchen. Thanks Bunnings.

Marks on timber

I bought 2, and my 2nd one has the tiny aqua stickers like painted onto the wood. It's like the stickers were placed on whilst still wet? Then imprinted into the timber. Can't get it off. Waste of money as I've lost my receipt. Really disappointed!First one was okay.

Needs some love

I'm a cabinet maker who'd just spent 4 months building my own place. Kitchen was finished bar a spice rack. I couldn't bare the thought of building anything else (was working FT too). Laziness set in and I headed to Bunnings to pick up one of these racks. It was simple enough to assemble but being butt-jointed with screws just made for an ugly finish. It'd be ok if you plan to bog the screw holes and paint it but I'm not one to paint timber - even cheap pine. After two weeks of looking at it with disgust I cracked. Was losing too much sleep over my laziness. Headed down to the workshop and ripped a couple of lengths of scrap Tas Oak nice and thin (about 6mm), glued it onto the sides to hide the hundreds of screw heads and threw half a can of spray varnish at it the ... MoreI'm a cabinet maker who'd just spent 4 months building my own place. Much happier now. Wall-hung with some utensil hooks underneath it actually looks half decent in the kitchen.I reckon I could have cut and dressed the timber to make this from scratch during the time it took to drive to Bunnings and collect this kit but hindsight is always 20/20.To sum it up, this is a good enough little kit for someone without the workshop tools to cut the timber themselves but the screw holes are ugly and will need to be dealt with unless you're really not fussy.

Perfect for pantry wall

Like the previous reviewer, I didn’t use the bars which go across the front of the shelf because my spice jars are fatter than most. My husband put it together easily.

Perfect spice rack for displaying 36 spice jars!
1 November 2021

I bought this Kit-Out spice rack, and screwed it together while watching TV. I'm not very handy, but this kit was very easy to follow. I didn't use the metal bars. I gave it a sand and then painted it with Cabot's Stain and Varnish in Walnut and applied 2-3 coats. Looks gorgeous and a bit rustic, with a couple of small runs, but I'm not too bothered about them. I'm going to buy a second spice rack kit, but next time I'll use the Stain and Varnish FIRST and then screw it together - should be less fiddly to paint, and should avoid the few runs!

Bought 2 to join together. Easy enough to put together. Hubby has to do some modifications to fit my Tupperware spice containers. Good value for the price.
