After completing payment and receiving order confirmation i didn't think any other steps were required. As much as I love getting my workout done, I must say I prefer the convenience and speed of this hand mixer. I purchased this along with a few other small kitchen appliances from KitchenAid. I appreciate the durability and quality that the brand offers. Although this is smaller than other appliances, it is powerful. Making the perfect cookies takes no time. Elevating mashed potatoes with a large chunk of cream cheese and whipped it together… perfect! The mixer not only comes with the standard beaters, dough hooks and the whisk, it also has a puree attachment and a nice fabric bag to store them in. Each type of attachment has its own sewn in pockets perfectly sized so nothing gets lost. Removing the attachments is as easy as one button so you can do it one handed but it’s firm enough to make sure you don’t accidentally eject the whisk while moving at high speed. The cord is nice and durable with an attached rubber band/strap for easy fold up and storage. Overall I highly recommend this purchase since it saved so much time and energy. I’ll definitely be a loyal customer of KitchenAid for years to come.

Dough hooks and ON/OFF switch issue

It’s not a 1 hand operation- the mixer has 3 buttons (1 x ON/OFF and 2 x UP/DOWN). ON switch turns opposite direction making it inconvenient and confusing to operate TOO bright LED light– blinds the eyes Speeds 1 to 3 are almost the same. No TURBO, no pulses. The handle of the mixer is thinner - difficult to hold it tightly. Stiff cable- feels heavier. Dough hooks are not suitable for this operation- the dough CLIMBS UP the dough hook and no matter of kneading speed, kneading duration, or stickiness didn’t help either. Before I had 4 different mixers and none of them experienced such a problem

Good mixer

Pleased with purchase, replacement for a 44 year-old Rowenta mixer, a wedding present, no longer made. I debated for a long time whether to get this mixer, wanted to try a Kitchenaid product but deterred by price, especially as Lakeland have brought out an own brand hand mixer, much less expensive. Pleased with the Kitchenaid mixer; good features include slow start, quiet, smooth operation, variable speeds for different functions, and cable management features. I still think it’s a bit pricey, though.

It really is a kitchen aid

I’ve used this a handful of times and so far I’m very impressed. It has one more tool than my last mixer (which I’ve yet to use) and they have their own little canvas draw string bag to live in when not in use. This is very handy but for me very accessible for my disability needs. Not too taxing on my joints which points to good ergonomics (though I have not yet gone full speed). Comfortable feel and easy controls. This has helped me make sourdough bred by kneading the dough for me, whisk up wet ingredients with the single whisk and the double whisks I used to make pumpkin & potato mash. It’s made my life so much easier taking the burden instead of my joints. It really is a kitchen aid.

Packed up after 5 years.

I purchased this mixer in 2017 from John Lewis. I was very happy with this mixer until today, six years later, in November 2023, the mixer went dead. I was using a dough mixing attachment for the first time, and after 5 minutes, using the slowest setting 1, the mixer just stopped, releasing a strange smell. I can only guess that the motor was burned out.I expected my KitchenAid mixer to last longer than 6 years. The label says "assembled in the USA." I am now wondering what to buy to replace this. As much as I'd love to give another chance to a KitchenAid hand mixer, I may try another one. I'm very sad to see my little red mixer going into the bin. It was easy to clean, and was a great little helper.

So far so good but some cosmetic problems

The mixer has a slow start function and definite differences between speeds. The mixing rod seems absolutely useless and dough made with the dough hooks will still need to be kneaded extensively by hand. The cord has a stowaway cord tie and swivel point to help keep the cord out of the way when mixing.The wire beaters are sturdy and easy to clean- but I’m not sure that they beat better than a larger tined mixer. I have small hands and the mixer is comfortable enough to hold both on the handle and the body.I was a bit disappointed that the metal ribbon around the body is ripple with several air gaps that will catch flour and grime and eventually lead to be the whole ribbon becoming loose. Well worth buying

My wife is delighted with this mixer. Having arthritis she is not as mobile as she was. The mixer is light in weight. The slow start is brilliant. Controls on the handle are very easy for her to use. She no longer has to struggle mixing ingredients with a wooden spoon, this machine makes her baking so much easier. Like most bakers she also has a full size mixer but it’s a fair lift for her these days. The great power output of this mixer is so reassuring that should you push it a bit, it can take it. The tools supplied are sturdy items and all can be stowed away together in the supplied pouch. Very happy with this purchase.
