After much consideration of whether or not to go with the tilt head stand mixer and my gorgeous new 7 Quart bowl lift stand mixer the bowl lift was the best choice for me due to having multiple physical health issues and this amazing bowl lift mixer is absolutely perfect for my needs and as a whole. The included pour shield is an added bonus and fits like a glove to prevent any of your mixtures from trying to fly out of the bowl.•The classic color of White which fits perfectly with any aesthetic that one might have and in my case, it truly does fit perfectly with all of my other KitchenAid products! Timeless color that will always stand the test of time.•The ease of putting the bowl onto the pegs AND extremely important to read the manual which instructs you to gently but firmly press down on the bowl to lock it into position BEFORE you use the lock handle and/or your bowl lift. If you miss or skip this step you will not be putting your bowl on correctly and you might think that it doesn’t fit properly; HOWEVER, you must read and follow the instruction manual to the letter so that you are attaching the bowl correctly and so you will save a lot of time in putting your bowl the right way. I have to say I have used the stand mixer with tilt head and still read the instruction manual religiously so that I make sure that I have it fitting properly and thus save a lot of time in doing so!•This particular bowl lift is so much easier to operate and create yummy food from favorite deserts to doughs and mixes that you have the right kitchen tool to breeze through without effort. I love every single piece of my new 7 Quart Bowl Lift stand mixer in Classic White.•The selection of speeds with the half speed option is also great to have with this mixer. It is great for mixing up lighter ingredients that don’t need a lot of power to make. I love that option so much! The lock handle is perfect as well!•The KitchenAid customer service team are amazing people and very knowledgeable about everything and anything you might have a question about!! The amazing ladies and gentlemen I have had the pleasure of talking with have been wonderful! They have been so great in assisting me with any questions I’ve had and are truly a bonus to owning KitchenAid products. Truly grateful to them all and that’s a huge bonus of owning your own products.There’s not one thing that is a con with this powerhouse! I’ve definitely made the best choice for kitchen appliances and I absolutely love my new bowl lift mixer!!!*One thing I thought about when reading other reviews was that a small silicone flower shaped accessory would be perfect to place where the bowl rests when not in use or when you need to change the bowl or remove it when you’re done using the bowl lift to act as an extra piece of protection against accidental damage in case the bowl slips or in case one hasn’t followed the manual about locking the bowl in place at the back before using the lock handle. I have a silicone flower hot pad that I use for just in case I were to accidentally lose my grip when I’m ready to remove my mixtures. It would make a great accessory in my opinion.Overall Conclusion - I absolutely LOVE my 7 Quart Bowl Lift stand mixer and wish I had discovered it sooner!! Hands down this is one tough mixer and the gold standard of all mixers!! If you’re thinking about it I promise you that you will love it too!! Buy it you will never regret it!!

Anything more than one 500 gm loaf (yes, ONE ) it began to heat up a lot, and I mean HOT. It struggled to mix it. As a parent I need to make two at a time, and they need kneading or don't work and rise properly. I queried the importer and repairier and both advised that KA only have 375 watt motors and - I kid thee not - "run for ten minutes, rest for fifteen".This utterly defeats the purpose of a mixer if the poor thing ... No gearbox but belt drive so strain is taken by belt not cogs. Bowl within a bowl so you can keep working. In-built scales. Stainless steel tools go in dishwasher and don't perish and shed grey oxide like the KA alloy/aluminium ones. HALLELUJAH!AVOID KITCHEN AID if you are a serious baker. If you only whisk eggs and cream sugar and make liquid batters and small portions of anything go for it. If you need a reliable, powerful workhorse, saddle up a Kenwood and shoot the Kitchen Aid on your way out of the stable.

I got the seven quart kitchenaid mixer after decades of having the artisan. I like it but it definitely has its negative points. The biggest issue is putting on the bowl. I find it unwieldy and unnecessarily awkward to attach it to the mixer. It is also difficult to add ingredients to the bowl when it’s attached. The whisk has to be moved to certain positions in order to get the ingredients in without a mess. I have made mashed potatoes three times in it in a larger quantity and find it difficult to tell when I have the right consistency. We are big fans of the KitchenAid! My husband & I bought this for each other with 9 attachments, this last Christmas. We both cook and bake equally. We definitely like the 7 quart bowl rather than the 5. My main issue is.. it seems as they use the same mixing, beating accessories as the smaller quarts-they don't seem to reach the whole circumference of the bowl. I am constantly stopping it and pushing the ingredient's for the paddle, beater and/or dough hook to find. It's inconvenient but still it does not completely hinder my use. We have used half of the attachments we own; the Ice shaver, food processor, peeler, meat grinder & the ice Cream maker, which I would give all good reviews. I have many people in my family with health conditions that require very specific diets, leading me to create some very strange cakes that are devoid of sugar, and most things that make cakes easy to make - so they tend to come out rather strangely too. Using this Pro Line Bowl lift 7 Quart, I've had them come out as close to actual "normal" cakes as Ive ever seen! (any one who makes crazy diet restriction treats knows this is quite an accomplishment.) Making Bread dough with this has been a game changer too, this machine couldn't be more stable while working on my challah bread (of course, best french toast ever!) It feels like this thing could run all day without blinking an eye, the only problem I've had with it was that I didn't realize I wasn't clicking the bowl fully on the machine in the back (It has a divitt on the back of the pot that goes into a hole on the back, which makes it super sturdy. I was just laying it on until I thought it felt secure, leading me to hear a clicking sound when it was on. I felt super silly after I realized what I did, but when clicked in properly it runs effortlessly. I also must admit, I overuse the double flex edge attachment - it's just so satisfying to see it mix up absolutely every last molecule in the bowl :) By far, this is the best experience I've had with mixers, and if you're even slightly considering going with the pro, take the leap. It's just plain shocking to see how the extra power improves everything!
I bought my 7 quart "mineral water blue" stand mixer to replace my tilt head because I felt it would better handle some of the heavier baking I do. The "premium touch points" model was on sale and I liked this color. What I felt wasn't told is this is a matte/eggshell finish that I wasn't expecting at all - however it quickly grew on me and now I love it. (my last mixer was seaglass and shiny) My mixer stays on my counter uncovered and I feel this model won't ever look dusty, have finger prints or show scratches like a shiny model would. Only time will tell but so far I'm right. I love the half speed on the largest model, it handles cookie batter like a dream and I've already used the dough hook (stickers warn to only use up to speed 2!) and it worked great on a ... What I felt wasn't told is this is a matte/eggshell finish that I wasn't expecting at all - however it quickly grew on me and now I love it. (my last mixer was seaglass and shiny) My mixer stays on my counter uncovered and I feel this model won't ever look dusty, have finger prints or show scratches like a shiny model would. Only time will tell but so far I'm right. I love the half speed on the largest model, it handles cookie batter like a dream and I've already used the dough hook (stickers warn to only use up to speed 2!) and it worked great on a flatbread dough. The stainless touchpoints over the classic black plastic FEEL and look really nice and are substantial. The heavy stainless attachments are very nice too. The included bowl scraper and pouring shield are already very useful tools. My only regret is that I didn't upgrade sooner. This model being more stable with heavy doughs than a tilt back head. Definitely a must for a heavy baker like me.
I received this mixer as a Christmas present and am soooooo pleased. I've had a Pro 600 for over 12 years, and it needed to have the gears/worm replaced. While I debated getting a new mixer, I used my daughter's 5-quart Artisan, which I found very underpowered. Fortunately, Santa came to the rescue! I've only used it for a couple of days and so far I LOVE it. It has superior heavy-duty STAINLESS attachments that are dishwasher safe. I was a little concerned about the decrease in wattage (from 575 to 500), but I have been making cookies without an issue. Even the ciabatta dough mixed without effort. I haven't tried it with a heavier dough yet, but I am optimistic. The motor is much quieter than the 600 so that is a plus considering our open floorplan. After reading ... After reading all the questions, I was delighted to find out that I can use my old 6-quart bowl with my new mixer. Now I can make more cookies without having to wait to wash a bowl. My next experiment will be whipping my meringue for macarons. BTW, for those who were as confused as I was, "Redesigned Premium Touchpoints" means they have new knobs and handle designs. (Why not just say that?!?!?) They are indeed a really nice change from the little black knobs that broke on my old 600.What I miss is a nice glossy instruction booklet to describe all the features and give tips on using the mixer, and maybe a few recipes to boot. There are only 9 pages that include a schematic, safety, assembly, care, warranty, and service information. The only really useful thing was the speed guide for the accessories.Can't wait to whip up my next batch of cookies!

I am a hardcore baker, so my machines get multiple workouts throughout the week.The bowl on this one is deeper (naturally since it is 7 quart) and more narrow, so less opportunity for the flour to fly out of the sides. I always despised using the plastic bowl guard because it was so big, round, and hard to wash. Not this one! It’s much smaller in diameter and has plastic guards that settle it onto the bowl all nice and snuggly.It comes with multiple attachments which are considerably heavier (as noted above) and larger than the smaller model attachments. It makes me content, happy, and excited every time I hold one of my new attachments. That may sound odd to some, but other home bakers who love their KitchenAid mixer will understand and be shaking their head in agreement. The look and feel of every attachment screams quality.Turning the machine on is when you know that you have arrived to a commercial grade mixer at a home baker’s price.The motor is smooth as butter, but yet tough sounding like a v8 motor kicking in the team of workhorses.I have also gone back to the traditional vibrant white color. It makes me so happy every time I look at my mixture standing proudly on the counter. It takes me back a bit to the glorious 90s!My recommendation is that every home baker should have one of these beauties. I would highly recommend buying one for any baker in your life or buying one for yourself if you are the baker of the family. It will be a GREAT day when the baker unboxes this beauty! This was not good.I reported it and was informed that this was normal! I then attempted a 2.4kg batch of bagel dough and the machine just could not cope with the stiff mix. It failed (stalled) in less than a minute in which case I halved the batch and continued to mix it in two lots. The machine still showed signs of struggling with this. I was really not happy with this, the grease situation or the heat the motor generated so it was returned to the retailer for an exchange back to a product with a much more powerful motor.So I would recommend this mixer only if you rarely cook or cook light mixes and just want something that looks stunning on your kitchen bench. However, if you are a true cook that expects reliable and continuous product use then look elsewhere as this is most definitely not for you! It certainly does not perform as it's advertised to. One thing that buyers need to be made aware of that is not mentioned in advertising is that the machine is not designed to be run for any more than 4 minutes (as per instructions) when mixing doughs - which is ludicrous! Manufacturers need to over-engineer there products whereas this one is clearly under-engineered.
First time I've ever owned a stand mixer and in researching I decided on the 500 watt lift stand for stability and power and the 7 quart bowl. It also comes with upgraded stainless steel paddles and spiral dough hook rather than the coated ones. I'm a newbie at all this and I probably went a little overboard for my needs. This is a big mixer that's heavier than the 350 watt models. Unless you're making really large batches it's a little overkill, at least for me. The 7 qt bowl is huge so I ordered a 5 quart bowl and find it much better suited for everyday chores. But, should I ever need the extra power and the bigger bowl I won't feel like I need to upgrade.So far I've used it for making great focaccia dough, cookie batter, cornbread batter, pumpkin bread, mixing ... I'm an old retired guy btw but this has become a fun hobby.
